    The Kizimkazi Mosque is a mosque situated on the southern tip of the island of Zanzibar in Tanzania and is one of the oldest Islamic buildings on the East African coast. Despite its name, it is located in Dimbani, not Kizimkazi, which is 3 miles away.

    The oldest Mosque in Zanzibar. Nine (9) Centuries Since in Use. It was built by Persian. Still there is Persian Scripts (Kulfi) and Arab scripts that show the building year. The main attraction is how they culve the stone, scripts, and the disabilities of the builders.

👍👍 Ibrahim was really quick to respond to us and very accommodating/flexible. We went to see dolphins, went snorkelling and he cooked a fantastic seafood barbecue on the beach for us. Would definitely recommend.
