Okayish hotel - not as great as you will think on reading the reviews. Stayed for 1 night each, 1 week apart. Maintenance of the rooms is unsatisfactory. Bathrooms have stains on walls. Room service is just okay. Location is nice. Front desk people are great. Buffet breakfast food is just okay, and the staff there is tardy. Al-dar restaurant at the roof top is not known for the service, food is okay.

Very nice hotel and very good management. I wanted to go to the beach and the manager arranged for the trip. Rooms are clean and well maintained.

All i can say is 5th floor rooms were nicely renovated. Great service & friendly staff. Some items still remain rusty though. I suggest they wash curtains especially on 9th floor. Everything else is perfect

The staff were very friendly and always helpful. Room is pretty standard and I would never stay here again, having seen roaches in the bathroom twice. Location is not bad, within a 10 mins walk of many popular places in town an easy access of taxis.

I really don’t understand the good reviews for this hotel. It was DISGUSTING. Pros The main positives are the staff - from the security, to front desk, to cleaning staff they were all so lovely and eager to help. When the mould smell throughout the hotel was causing me to cough they allowed me to keep the dehumidifier (that was running in the hallway) in my room for a bit. The rooftop bar is nice Location is central Cons The hotel is OLD and in desperate need of renovation. The bathroom was gross and the dirt was caked into the crevices of the room. There was the strong smell of mustiness and mould throughout the hotel. The carpets were so dirty. Although the hotel was cleaned because it is so old it just always felt gross The hot tub and swimming pool had rings of dirt around them. Verdict Stay somewhere else. There are similarly priced hotels 5 minutes away that are much newer

Right in the heart of city centre. The roof top restaurant presents an exciting view of the city. You could see the cityscape and the ocean on the other side. Their breakfast options are great. The infinity pool on the 3rd floor is breathtaking!

Room 1009 10th floor. Dusan Micek is writing. We came as group of 4 people 2 days ago. Me my younger brother Marek, our mom Anna and Livia moms friend from Slovakia. Since tommorow sunday we leaving back to Zanzibar for last couple of hollidays before we go home back to Slovakia wish just to say few words. Holliday inn are series of hotels usually unique to others because there is lot of free stuff which other hotels dont have or you have to pay extra for that. This one is 10 floors tall plus a rooftop with restaurant and some others things for entertaiment, leisure and hollidays. Anyone willing to see Dar Es Salaam 8 millions big populated city largest in Tanzania by number of people living here or Mikumi National Park like must have start their trip in Holliday inn hotel. Its best place to start since it offers plenty of things to do and a perfect place to replenish energy and spend some time in Dar Es Salaam or Tanzania. Rooms are clean and tidy. From reception or people helping you with luggagge, to waiters, bar staff, chamber maid and cook all people are super friendly, helpfull and always smiling. Dining room or rooftop bar is pergect for anyone refreshment. People coming from richer countries lika America, Canada, European Union can find this really cheap and bargain. Not burden for wallet and litterary perfect for leisure or hollidays. There is litterary nothing which i can find as a cons. About the pros pool is really great, food is excellent and breakfast are usually included in proce of rooms, internet is really fast and you are as close to city centre as you can be. View from the rooftop is amazing. There is so many i could write about. Families with childrens litterary everybody will find in Holliday in everything he was looking for and expecting. Would 100% reccomend this hotel and if i ever come back to safari trip to Tanzania this will be a place where i will start.

While we were staying at the hotel we had a very nice hospitality at the rooftop restaurant. The manager Mr. Ajinkya was so sociable and responds to our needs to make us very comfortable!! So we advise him to keep up his efforts to fulfill his duties!! Five star service. Samuel Assefa

Holiday Inn is located in city center and very close to indian street. You can get taxi right outside of the hotel. The hotel has nice/clean room, nice bathroom (water pressure was not that great some mornings but overall was good), very friendly/professional staff, amazing service, and breakfast option was amazing (had great vegetarian and indian options). Pravin was great and very helpful. He made sure everything went smoothly and was taken care from check-in to check-out. I would recommend it to my friends and family.

The staff is very friendly and the location is excellent. The breakfast is OK, but the breakfast room is extremely noisy, it has strong echoes, and the loudspeakers are lousy. Overall, the breakfast is not comfortable at all.

Nice place to stay staff they was very helpful. I didn’t stay along because my flight was early morning if they didn’t check my flight details otherwise i will miss it. Laundry service is super fast... Exceptionally efficient... Rooms are big, very prime location. I spent around 20 nights in Apr 23, all went well. Vegetarian options are less... And meenu descriptions of dishes is wrong... Alert for vegetarian people : Visually check your food item before eating it. Little bit noise from other room and corridor may come to your room... Be ready for that

I have stayed at many 4 or 5 other hotels in Dar Es Salaam and this is the BEST one by far is Holiday Inn City Centre. - I am very comfortable with location, rooms are very clean-most important wifi was great and food is excellent. I asked the staff for several items: water, laundry to be done same day, extra hangers, etc. and everything was done promptly. Excellent hotel and would highly recommend. My stay are shot and i will be coming back soon. Thank you team for excellent Hospitality.

I first stayed at the Serena Hotel as well as the Breezes beach club in Zanzibar for the first 2 weeks of my stay in Tanzania in early December, than moved to the Holiday inn for a change of scenery, and what a difference between the three. While the former’s hotel staff were polite and courteous they lacked sincerity. The genuine caring experience I received from each and every staff at the Holiday inn was exceptional . The manager, Pravin, his front desk staff Farhana, Zawadi, Grace and many more, give you an above and beyond experience that the other hotels just did not. I also think that many of their room amenities are way better than the hotels in Dar I have stayed at. For a curly hair haired Canadian you need a strong hotel dryer and they have an excellent one. Their irons which I can never do without whilst travelling are of good quality whilst the others just cheap out and you are constantly having to ask for newone. Their executive lounge is way better than the Serena and the list can go on. I am a seasoned traveller and have stayed at many a hotels but this is one experience I shall not forget. Thank you Holiday Inn, Dar es salaam.
