Golden Tulip Dar City Center - A Wonderful Stay! I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Golden Tulip Dar City Center, and I couldn't be more delighted with my experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff was exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Their professionalism and attentiveness truly stood out. The rooms were not only impeccably clean but also well-appointed with modern amenities. The attention to detail in the room decor and the comfortable bed made for a truly relaxing stay. The hotel's central location was perfect for exploring the city, and the ease of access to public transportation was an added bonus. I had the opportunity to dine at the hotel's restaurant, and the culinary experience exceeded my expectations. The menu offered a diverse range of delicious dishes, and the service was prompt and courteous. What truly sets the Golden Tulip Dar City Center apart is its commitment to guest satisfaction. Every interaction with the staff left me with a positive impression, and it's evident that they take pride in providing exceptional hospitality. Overall, my stay at the Golden Tulip Dar City Center was nothing short of fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay in Dar es Salaam. Thank you to the entire team for making my visit so special!

Golden Tulip - city center was great! We had a weeklong stay at the full service apartments. At first glance, we werenโ€™t very impressed by the rooms because we expected a hotel room. But given our longer stay, the management went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and reassured us that our stay would be comfortable at the airport. They catered to all the requests. All things considered the room was really very comfortable. Having a full kitchen and a washing machine along with full housekeeping was definitely a plus. The house keeping staff was also very polite and cleaned the rooms well. The breakfast buffet is decent but the menu pretty much remains the same. The real highlight though was the location and views! The rooftop restaurant has gorgeous views of the city and port. All rooms are at higher floors so they also have great views. The location is not bad. Itโ€™s a little crowded around, but thereโ€™s a lot of restaurant options in the vicinity and a taxi stand right outside that charge around tsh 5000 to go around the city. All in all, I highly recommend golden tulip for a comfortable stay in Dar es Salaam! It is value for money.

The services were the best. Especially Judith's welcoming smile and all her treatment from check in till check out was remarkable. I felt at home during the whole stay. Her willingness to go the extra mile to facilitate to customers a smooth stay in Dar es salaam was unforgetable. When I come again to Dar es sallam with my family, Golden Tulip is definitly going to be where I will stay.

Super cozy place. The only problem is it is located right at the middle of a busy citu centre. You will only enjoy once you are inside

Amazing.. I arrived late in the night and checking was smooth. The team at reception was very professional and helpful. The room I stayed in was excellent, with a great view of parts of the city and the Indian ocean at the a distance. Their breakfast is amazing. Lots of variety. Well balanced to cater for most nutritional preferences. And the view from the hotel is also amazing.

The hotel is the middle of the City and close to the ocean. Easy access if your there for a business trip. Ideal for those looking for a business hotel and also Families. The Building Complex houses other establishments therefore abit busy on the lift's. The Breakfast is delicious. To note they don't sell alcohol therefore carry your own as you only get soft drinks. The staff are friendly and Khalifa is our best host. All his helpfulness and kindness is immense. He referred us to the top local restaurants and attractions and they all were 100% what we were looking for.

Good Hotel for Small Stay as located in City area and rooms having sea view. Staff is very cooperative. They need to enhance their Vegetarian menu in breakfast as they offer very limited Veg food during breakfast. They make veg on request but not many guest aware about the same so it should be a apart of breakfast buffet

I was visiting friends of mine who were staying at the hotel but the guards miss confused their details and stopped me while i was getting out which is not bad for security reasons but the treatment was very bad i was called a liar and it was there mistake even one of the staffs recommend that my bag should be searched to see what am carrying we had to go back to the rooms and confirm who i was visiting but even the manager was very harsh they even threatened me that they will call the police for which it's not appropriate to treat anyone in such manner Even after the scenario happened they never said sorry for the inconvenience and the staff kept harassing me which it really upsets me My recommendation absolutely do not think of this hotel you just have to look for somewhere else where they care your privacy and respect. There the worst in terms of hospitality.

In my opinion, it is a 3 star hotel. The location is rightly located in the center of the city which makes it convenient for the purpose I had in mind. However, the ensuite bathroom had only 1 towel per day. It had no complimentary body lotion or toothbrush/paste etc. I always wonder why many hotels in Dar es Salaam would not consider providing free complimentary airport shuttle to lodgers. You will have to pay USD50 for that to/fro service should you decide to commute airport-hotel. But the breakfast experience is good enough, the same with the layout of the room.

A Hidden Gem in Dar es Salaam - Golden Tulip Dar City Center My recent stay at the Golden Tulip Dar City Center was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I entered the lobby to the time I checked out, every aspect of my experience was delightful. The staff deserves special mention for their exceptional hospitality. They were not only professional but also genuinely friendly, always ready to assist with a warm smile. Their commitment to ensuring a pleasant stay was evident throughout. The room was a haven of comfort and style. Impeccably clean, with modern amenities and a cozy ambiance, it truly felt like a home away from home. The attention to detail in room service was commendable, making each day of my stay a relaxing retreat. The hotel's central location proved to be a strategic choice, allowing easy access to key attractions and business centers. Whether I was exploring the city or attending meetings, the convenience of the Golden Tulip's location was invaluable. Dining at the hotel's restaurant was a culinary delight. The menu showcased a diverse array of dishes, each one a masterpiece in taste and presentation. The chefs demonstrated a passion for their craft, and the attentive service added to the overall dining experience. What impressed me the most was the hotel's commitment to maintaining high standards. It's clear that the Golden Tulip Dar City Center values its guests and strives for excellence in every aspect of service. In conclusion, my stay at the Golden Tulip Dar City Center was an absolute pleasure. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a top-notch experience in Dar es Salaam. Kudos to the entire team for creating such a memorable stay!

This Hotel is centrally located in the CBD and just a few minutes from the Ferry. We travelled from Zanzibar using Azam Ferries and truly enjoyed the experience. The price@$87 was reasonable and affordable during this heavily travelled high season. We were lucky to be allocated a room on the 18th floor with a beautiful sea view. I spend much of my time watching the Ships and ferries coming and leaving the Dar port . The Breakfast at the hotel had to be paid for separately @$15 pax. It was worth it ! The breakfast consisted of everything . Cereals, meats, pastries, vegetables, pastas, soups, and my all time favourite..mushrooms!! The restaurant staff was not as efficient as expected and severally l had to find my own plate, cutlery and napkin. The food was great though and compensated for the lucklusture customer service. The reception crew were very pleasant and welcoming. The security at the hotel was friendly and helpful. The Housekeeping was top notch and the rooms were sparkling each day. I would stay there again and recommend others to choose the hotel. It is walking distance to the Diplomatic Corp offices and literally 2 minutes to everything ..food..pharmacies...Forex ( Wakala), Banks and even KFC๐Ÿ˜†

We arrived at night and we have taken the airport shuttle with the hotel, but the driver was late and we had to wait for 20min. When arriving to the hotel, the receptionist was kind and let us go to our room and leave the payment to the next day. The room had a very nice view. The second negative point was the service: One night we ordered a plate for several times (by calling the reception) and each time we get told that the plate will arrive. At the end we got nothing !! The breakfast was delicious and there are many choices.

we booked an extended one night hotel room with Ctrip. the payment is confirmed and a confirmation email with vouchar was sent to my email. when I checked out, the reception at teh desk told us that they couldn't find the booking order, even though I showed him all the booking records on the Ctrip App and the confirmation email. as we were rush for our Safari tour, the reception recommended us to make a deposit with the equivalent one night payment. first he asked for cash deposit, I refused, I made a deposit with my credit card. the reception told me that once they get confirmation from Ctrip, they will return the deposit. before we left the country, we sent an email to the hotel reminded them the deposit. but nothing happend. now we are in the disput process with my credit card company. hope potential visitors learn the lession from us.

I must start off with thanking the 20th and 21st floor restaurant staff for their excellent customer service, it was incredible! Unfortunately there were several issues with this hotel: 1) Check-in process took far too long and reception staff seemed overwhelmed with workload (although pleasant) 2) Bedsheets were stained although clean 3) Found a bed bug in the middle of the night (video attached) having been woken up by noise! Immediately alerted staff who apologised and kindly moved me to another room however I was unable to sleep due to anxiety regarding bugs. This was extremely unfortunate as I had an exam the next day. I also found a bed bug bite on my neck the following day. 4) Raised this upon checkout however still had to pay $97 for the room and breakfast. I can only recommend in good faith the restaurant at this hotel - the food and customer service were wonderful. Otherwise it's a such steep price to pay for such an experience.

Was there for a week and Half . Had a very nice room with the best view of the city and the port. The restaurant staff makes nice food with the exception of Aisha the people are always moody ask for an Omelet it takes 15 minutes everyday I had to ask for sugar for tea when having breakfast their staff needs to be constantly reminded to bring the normal breakfast needs like sugar or Jam. Room service I Constantly kept on asking for toiletries which i believe they are supposed to put everyday

I am sure it is under new management. The first time i went there, that was 4 years ago, I was put off. Then I go there 2-days ago, to meet a friend, then it is a complete remake in terms of service. The beef samosas, chapatti and the drinks came just as we ordered! Excellent observatory on the 20th floor too.

The location in the city center, excellent service, the staff provides excellent service, the problem is a paper to record the guest's information at the time of entry and exit! The second problem is knocking on the door and disturbing the guest just for selling chocolate!

Missing shower door, worn out towels, half-full (single use) shower bottles, temperamental sockets and faulty air conditioning, slow service (we waited for almost an hour to get a missing shower towel). Central location with nice views and very friendly staff though.

Nice hotel but the services, the rooms are not of 4 star quality. There is a wood or God knows what smell in corridors and rooms. Check in took longer more than 20 mins. Otherwise is not bad but it is 2 star hotel...

This is a no alcohol hotel; however you can bring your alcohol. It's basic with no frills and you get what you pay for. The location is perfect if you have meetings in the city center. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a gym on the 6th floor and it was perfect for working out.

In one word, terribleโ€ฆโ€ฆ.. We stayed at the hotel with my husband on December 8, 2023. First, we made a reservation on one site, but when we found it cheaper on another site, we canceled it and completed our reservation by paying on the other site. When we went to the hotel, we gave our documents and were taken to our room without any problems. When we were leaving the hotel, they told us to pay again. We said we made the payment and submitted the documents. We showed them again our proof of payment, and they accepted that they saw that the payment had been made. They insisted that they had to open our reservation, which was previously canceled from another site ( even though we showed that the reservation number did not match our new reservation) and want to payment again. Even though we presented all the documents to them, they did not leave us without payment again. They don't even have the ability to control their own systems. We paid again so as not to miss the flight. They never have a helpful attitude. We showed everything from the reservation codes on individual sites to our account movements, but it was not possible to deal with it further. This is the first time I encountered something like this in a hotel. Also, the rooms are old, do not expect a good cleaning. I definitely do not recommend this hotel, it sucks. I could understand if they said they didn't see our payment when we checked in, but asking for payment again when leaving the hotel is not professional at all.
