Wiyolis HongKong Hotel

Hotel

🫀 The room was full of cockroach, the bathroom was not clean and I did not even receive a towel for bathing. We did not try the breakfast as we did not trust the cleanliness of the kitchen. The only good point is the location. People often mention good, hotel, staff, rooms, clean, room, stay, affordable, friendly, water,

Great location but a terrible hotel. All 3 of the rooms we stayed in had both live and dead cockroaches around. The staff was surprised when I wanted them dealt with. When we checked in the staff originally tried to give us only 2 out of the 3 rooms we booked. They seemed annoyed when I asked for the correct number of rooms. It's really close to the market and not far to the airport which are it's only saving graces. Despite that, do not stay here.

The overall standard is workable. Rooms were ok.located at the old town near the Masimbazi bus station. One can get good restaurant, shopping mall and market nearby. The staff was well behaved. Room cleanliness were somehow ok. Washrooms wre big and clean with little old fittings. But it was value for money. We stayed in a tripple room for 33 usd only. But someone staying with family may not find it suitable. For short night stay of 1/2 days with affordable price, it is recommended.

Nice service, but not a great parking area in case you have a car ,not that quiet place as it's in the city center marketplace, but it's good.

Last night in Tanzania we chose to stay here for one reason on the way to airport and another feed our Chinese stomach. The first image was like back to China. Even the room setup is quite standard Chinese style. The Hotel restaurant is supplying Chinese food buffet. It's been over two months since last time having Chinese style breakfast. It was so great to have rice porridge and steamed bun for breakfast. Lunch and dinner are also good with pretty cheap price. One more wonderful thing is the hotel boss let us stayed in the room till our flight which was 22:50... kinda free one night stay! So friendly and generous!

Stay away! Dirty, rusty, mouldy with fungus growing on walls. Most importantly, no hot water in the shower. Hotel explains it as being on a solar power, so whenever the sun is not up, there is no hot water. That makes it most of a hotel day. Bathroom so dirty thou, that you hardly want to use it anyways. Far below any possible standards. I have no idea why they get so good ratings. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

Comfy and clean! Only stayed here a night before heading to the airport in the morning and the staff were very nice to arrange pick up from the ferry terminal as well as getting to the airport in the morning. Bathroom could have been a little cleaner and water pressure wasn't the best but oh well! The balcony was very cute. There was a Chinese restaurant below the hotel which offered a good selection.

The price-performance ratio is unbeatable. Very friendly staff, housekeeping every day, bar, cafe and restaurant, fast free Wi-Fi, comfortable beds, bus stop opposite. However, the noise from the street penetrates very strongly into the rooms.

The food is amazing The location is so reachable It's like 1 minute to the UDART station and like 3 to where the Taxi station is Also it's close to the Police station which is much safer Although it's in a very busy area and van get hectic sometimes but it's a great place πŸ€—

I really was disappointed, the service was really terrible the ladies at the reception was always rude and moody and the staff like cleaning very disrespectful I really didn’t like it at some point I went to the reception to ask to talk to their manager and they didn’t let me and I was locked out of my room for one day the only good thing about the hotel was the food. But the rest was terrible especially the workers and not everyone speaks Swahili and 60% of the staff could only speak Swahili so it was really hard to communicate.

May be one of the best hotels in Kariakoo. Spacious rooms, affordable, city centre, nearby all areas of Kariakoo and has a good restaurant with good meals πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Price is affordable especially when on transit. They serve basic breakfast. Hotel is in town so helps with any business you wish to do in town. However the streets are quite busy and noisy though it gets quieter around 2200 hours. Our room had no hot water so I suggest you ask about the water before you book in. We were given a bucket and water heater to warm our bath. Not comfortable at all. TV was down as well and it took them about 30 minutes to fix it which was also another inconvienience. Its clean though.
