Dear All. Staying for one night at the Rainbow Hotel has been an experience I don't want to have again. Where to even begin? The first thing I noticed, the sheets were dirty and the room has a funky smell. Moving forward they did not provide towels, toilet paper, soap, or toothpaste so basically any consumables they do not provide. It is not worth the price to pay. Additionally, the breakfast is quite rubbish I must say. Looking at the photos reviewers can see this is quite unacceptable.

Very sadly, I need to quote a low star.. In a great position and with friendly staff, it turned out to be a nightmare.. dirty bedsheets.. room was surely used before given to us... no apologies.. 5% commission on credit card... offering a lift to ferry, which was then proposed for 5.000 tsh and eventually organized with a taxi crying for starvation who wanted 10.000 tsh... we needed taxi only because we had luggage as the hotel is literally 3 minutes away from the ferry. I was not expecting the hotel being luxurious for that price and I could tolerate the AC not working (or working too much in the other room with no chance to switch it off even after having removed the card)... but I cannot tolerate dirt

This place is good for avoiding only. Dirty walls and bed sheets, bathroom full of dead insects and rests of soaps of previous guests. Door lock not working properly, cant enter room again once you leave, without calling a receptionist. Manager pretending like he is not familiar with the things.

I definitely do not recommend. Staff stole my belongings from my room. the man at the reception gave beating answers and they didn't pay. very dirty, uninterested and totally scammers.

If your looking for a safe and clean place in the middle of the city this is the place to go. Fast WiFi, breakfast included (served on the first floor) friendly staff. AC, fans everything you need to relax from the moist heat in Dar.

Everything is decent, to a reasonable price. Boring place, but nice rooms with very good air condition. Location in the middle of Dar is central, but not a very nice place. Breakfast was also quite boring.

We never slept in much dirty hotel. Sheet, pillows, towels used by guests before us. We asked about the new one but from 4 rooms only 2 got fresh towels. Never, ever. The worst night ! Only one good think: 5 minutes walk to the port

The hotel is okay. Very pricey considering the rooms are just average and sometimes lack basic things like a working ac remote, bathroom sandals etc. The breakfast provided is great and the workers are very nice and diligent

Cheap stay at the rate of 40$ with breakfast (was not that high end but considerable to some extent). Overall 5% additional charge will have to be paid if you use international credit card. It is actually all over Tanzania.

Rainbow 🌈 prints πŸ–¨ out Covid 19 Test Results at front desk from Aga Khan Hospital πŸ₯. πŸ‘πŸΏ. Microwaves in all rooms would complement the excellent rooms 7am to 11am Breakfast would be much better for guests.

Room that we got was not clean with cockroaches, lizard and a clogged drainage. No car parking and its a challenge to get cabs to come and pick you at the hotel door step. Surely no value for money.

The worst hotel I've ever been in. All is dirty and old! Huge moisture in the room. Bathroom is disaster. Doorlock didn't work properly, they couldn't fix it all day. Avoid this place!

Great staff, very accommodating and helpful.. The breakfast is pretty good, close to the city and market areas, However, they do have layout issues with rooms and the cleanliness is not highly effective, however for the rates, it's pretty fair! It's really the management and staff that stand out here!
