Spent 11 days in Peninsula hotel, very nice hotel considering the paid rate, spacious rooms/suites with nice balcony, nothing missed in the room, but adding small microwave will make it great, very helpful housekeeping in 2nd floor, and in general all the stuff were very helpful including room service and reception team, you can notice the hotel manager going around all the time checking the guests for any complaints or feedbacks, i read some complaints about breakfast varieties, but in my opinion it was fine, and changing the offered items every day, i didn't try the main restaurant, a small problem happened during my early check-in, that I requested early check-in with the suite booking, but the reception person told me that there are no suites available either for early check-in or even my normal stay !!, then we arranged that i stay in normal room till the afternoon time until he check for a solution with the management, so by afternoon my suite were ready, so i think the first response were some how a mistake from the reception person, any how it was a nice saty in general which I'm willing to repeat

Nice hotel. Well placed for all the amenities of the Oyster bay area. Staff were all excellent, friendly and approachable Gym very small and could do with more weights. No swimming pool as advertised (it is at a sister hotel a courtesy bus ride away) All in all a nice place

Very nice hotel, professional staff. I experienced consecutive blackouts on one night but the technicians were on site quickly to fix it.

Nice and comfortable big rooms, clean, decent with all amenities you may require. Located at the heart of the vibrant Oysterbay with restaurants and pubs within walking distance.

I spent five night at Peninsula, and I appreciated the kindness of the staff, the large room and bathroom. Breakfast is reasonably good and varied, continental with a few local delicacy. My room had a balcony but unfortunately it looked straight on the main road and on the underlying fuel pump, unimpressive. On the downside, the bathroom smelled of sewer, the elevator needs some maintenance (the sliding door often fails to close), and one day they forgot cleaning up my room.

The hotel is fine, nothing great, big rooms, which makes it kind of comfortable. i stay here with my husband, as we have some business in town, however as we have different schedules we requested 2 room keys and was rudely refused by the lady in the reception saying for security reasons which make no sense. especially the room electricity works with the card. kind of made our plans diffecult. wont consider to stay here next time, and i dont recommand.

The Best Western Plus peninsula was a very nice stay! The rooms were clean, well kept and much much bigger than I had thought. Even had 2 sofas and a coffee table!! Massive bed with lots of pillows.. The shower was equally impressive. Large mirrors, louts of towels. πŸ‘ŒπŸ½ The service at the reception desk was professional and very responsive. I've enjoyed my short stay a lot. Would definitely be back here next time I visit Dar..

Its always a great stay here. I am surprised by some of the comments from people about bad attitudes, I have never seen it. I stayed for the 3rd time in 8 months. The staff is super friendly, polite, and fun. It has a family atmosphere if you are open enough to get to know the staff. The food is incredible. I have tons of food allergies, and as such, I can't eat most foods. There was always food ready for me, including, grilled meat for breakfast. I definitely will stay again. and would recommend to a friend.

Peninsula Hotel is an amazing place for layover, getaway, corporate workshops, retreats, and/or strategies. It offers top-notch conference rooms with stable internet and conference facilities. The coffees are served unendlessly during the sessions, and members of staff are really friendly and extremely helpful. Their rooms are great! Spacious and nicely aerated. The rooms also have access to the Internet. For bed and breakfast, breakfast is a whole story by itself. The variety is exceptional and all fresh. Peninsula Hotel is one of those hotels you can check out in your next travel to Dar es Salaam for a beautiful stay in the sandy coastal city.

stayed in this hotel for a work trip. the hotel is unique in terms of staffs and their supports. the rooms are quite big and provided with AC (and electricity reserve generator). the hotel is a little old but the experience and professional behavior of personal is quite satisfying. the strong point of the hotel is its restaurant with unique delicious and professionally designed foods from best fresh materials. the hotels is near to public beach with 10 minutes walk.

Worst reception staff ever.. over charge guest for airport pick-up. Γ—3 the normal price, with an ordinary taxi driver.

Spice root is the restaurant there which has projected itself as supposedly best one in the city for Indian food, but the truth is just the reverse. To begin with, service time for ordered food is 50 minutes. After the agonizing wait you are served cold Naan ( bread ) with very limited portions of daal and cottage cheeze in gravy ( paneer butter masala). Repeat service takes 25 minutes. Regrettably, they didn't have an Indian cook either. Then why serve Indian food ? Most pathetic part was that the manager, whose name was told to be one Jennifer , had left for home at 7.00 pm which were the peak hours for dining , and was not available until 9.30 p.m. Wanted to complain of pathetic service and very ordinary food but she deliberately did not pick the calls, although she was repeatedly taking calls of her subordinates. Deliberate avoidance and arrogance after a pathetic service and cold food is entirely untenable in the hospitability industry. Indeed shameful for any hotel / restaurant of repute. Shall never visit it again ! That's the reason hardly were any else there for dinner at peak hour.

Pathetic and cold food, poor and non trained restaurant staff. There is no manager at duty, there’s no responsibility person at the hotel. When asked about bad service and food, they say they don’t have Indian chef but their menu is full of Indian dishes. Please don’t waste your hard earned money here.

We were the 4th time now in this hotel, tried also some other in between but I prefer to sleep here. Yes it is a bit more expensive but safe, clean and service 24h. Big rooms, nice breakfast Buffet, good service and organised. To the ferry with an Uber its about 10 min and costs during the day 8000 tzs in a car for 4 pax. Also its 500m from Samaki Samaki where Wednesday's the biggest Karaoke in Town is, 250m to Warehouse where you can dance, playing Billiard and have a drink will add some pictures next time.

My family and me have stayed a couple of days at Peninsula Hotel to attend the wedding of my brother in Dar es Salaam. The rooms are big and clean. Everything is working well which we really appreciated after some not pleasant accommodations during our trip through Tanzania. The breakfast is really nice and we enjoyed it every morning during our stay. The best about the hotel is the staff. Every single person is friendly and supporting wherever they can. Especially Patricia at the reception was helping us a lot during our stay. Moreover, the hotel is located very well. Supermarket and restaurants are just around the corner and the Coco beach is just a short walk away. I personally can recommend to stay at Peninsula hotel.

The hotel is well located near the main road, nice restaurants, supermarkets and Coco beach. Uber cars are available in the area most of the time. The rooms are quite spacious with a living room setting and adequate lighting. It has adequate parking, a restaurant and friendly staff.

It was a poor 1st impression. They forgot to arrange airport pickup and werent concerned about it. The room key wasn't activated and I had to come back to activate it. I stayed there for 5 days between the 3rd to 8th of December but still wouldnt extend me 2 hrs of extra time for late checkout. The facility is good with spacious rooms and a decent restaurant. Most of the staff are friendly, but I wouldn't stay there again. Iam sure there are better deals for the same amount.

The hotel is very nice and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and well skilled. The location is very good. There are like 3 or 4 restaurants nearby, supermarket, gas station. Night clubs like Elements or Samaki Samaki are just around the corner. Every room is equiped with balcony. The only problem is a light on the balcony attacking eyes. It's not possible to turn it off.

Hello Management, My clients had a horrendous check out. The front office staff are not considerate. My clients are of high profile and left with sad feeling due to your silly staff decision. Your prices do not match the breakfast you provide.

This is probably the best hotel i’ve stayed in ever. The customer service is on point, and you’re greeted with delight. The restaurant was really good, and nice breakfast with a variety of different foods. Our room was luxurious and the gym was good. We were happy staying at Peninsula, and we will definitely come back next time we visit Dar 🌸 Thanks to Jacob for handing our luggage, and the rest of the staff for making a week of our trip amazing ⭐️ 10/10 would recommend !

I stayed at the Pennisula Hotel twice in the last 6 months My most recent stay was July 4th amd 5th. Each stay was great. The first visit i stayed on the front side of the Hotel facing the main road, my second visit, i stayed on the back side of the hotel facing buildings and apartments. I would definitely recommend the front side of the building for better views and more privacy. I had dinner delivered to my room. I was very happy and surprised with how good it was. The corn cakes made with mashed potatoes were soooo good. Lastly the customer service was great. Winne the house keeping manager was always checking on when I would see her in the hallways, Patricia the front desk agent was always smiling and took care of any concerns. There also a young lady working with Patricia who had the best welcoming smile as well everytime I entered the property. Whenever I come to Dar on my travels I will always look for rooms at the Pennisula first.
