I stayed here for a couple of nights after returning from Zanzibar, based on it's close location to the ferry terminal and good reviews. Honestly, at first, I was disappointed with the room and facilities which were a little tired, with many things not quite working properly - like the fan only working at top speed, the kitchen a/c not working, dripping shower (check the fossilized shower unit pics), leather sofa really uncomfortable, etc. The hotel reminded me in decor and upkeep of the hotels I'd stayed previously in India, and it is a little part of India in Dar es Salaam. Although it felt a little uncomfortable at first, I got used to it and, by the end, quite enjoyed it - even the Indian breakfast. GREAT things are the staff - Eunice and Joyce simply couldn't be more helpful and friendly and are memorable for their fantastic service and the location.

Very nice Hotel, the location is pretty much in the center within the walking distance to the Ferry. We had the Executive Suite rooms, they are very big, Beds are comfortable however a bit hard. The bathroom was okay as well. The breakfast was very good, quite a nice selection of different options. Last but not least the service of the hotel guests was just superb.

Ideal location, great service & affordable. Continental breakfast was included. Stayed in their apartment suite (2 rooms with a kitchenette & sitting room). AC worked perfectly & hot water for shower was super. Four stars because, wifi only works in your room not the entire building & is slow. The clock in the room doesn’t work. The place is really old; doors are creaking & the hem of the door is even peeling off. The elevator is darn slow too Jesus. Otherwise all ok πŸ‘

Well, we went for a party at the 9th floor. There are some parking outside for the hotel. One of the lifts was not working, so people have to wait for their turn to get into the lift. Area at the 9th floor was good enough, with around 100 people seating capacity. Nice ambience. Food was very nicely prepared.

Located on Jamuri Street. Stayed here for a week. Rooms are quite good. Food is average. Best part is location. It is in the city center so you can visit nearby places. Also TV channels have all the Indian channels you can imagine. Best place to stay in budget for Indian travelers.

I spent four days here. It felt like home away from home. The receptionists Aziza and Joyce received me so well that I felt at home even before I checked in. Exceptional hospitality. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The location is excellent

Located in Kisutu, just 500 meters away from Posta city center in Dar Es Salaam. This place is at the heart of the Indian community in Dar, so close to many authentic Indian Pure Vegetarian restaurents (there are many around here). Good service including room services and laundry services. Free buffet breakfast available for the guests with mainly Indian style dishes. Every Saturday there is a good buffet type dinner. Helpful staff and the manager Mr. Raaj is a very good person and a friend of mine as well. Room amnesties include cable TV, Hot water, A/C, fridge, microwave and water kettles. This place is surrounded by many stores like groceries, pharmacies, stationery shops, kids toy shops, restaurants etc. Reserved parking available on the roadside with security guards watching 24/7. BRT stop is also just few meters away from this and also easily accessible via Bolt and Uber taxi services. Also the hotel have their own taxi service if required.

Dear Ravi Bhai, Yesterday birthday celebration was very nice at your place(Urban Rose) Everything was perfect like: - Welcoming of Guestsβœ… - Decoration ❀️ - Food & Catering Service ❀️ - Music βœ… Guests were very happy but unfortunately due to Aircons failure/cooling issue it was too hot and dissapointing. Kindly fix AC issue over there. Thankyou for your Hospitality πŸ™

Urban Rose has apartment style rooms of 1 and 2 bedrooms. Alongside the bedroom(s), there is a lounge area with comfortable sofas, a moderate sized dining table and chairs, as well as a kitchennete. It is equipped with a microwave, small refrigerator, electric kettle with tea and coffee tray, and some plates, cups and cutlery. The rooms have AC and balcony. The staff are attentive and keep the premises clean. It is ideal for both short and long term guests. Also, ideally located in the city centre, with nearby convenient stores, taxis, and restaurants.

It's been several months since dining in, usually do takeout only. Tried it out today but it's been a disappointing lunch. Too salty, no table condiments and no butter on butter naan. Not a pleasurable experience. It's a bit unfortunate πŸ˜• 😞

Indian food , buffet for worth of price. Good staff behaviour and taste of biriyani is like mild masala with dum of spices. Over all good hotel in dar.

Very good hotel for a reasonable price. Fantastic staff. We were given a very nice welcome and we loved our stay there. Don't miss to try the food in their restaurant, it's defenitely worse it: a huge menu, big portions and for a good price. Breakfast buffet was very delicious. We were accomodated on the 8th floor and could fully enjoy the balcony view and feel the vibes and energy of Dar es Salaam.

Decent place. Owner has maintained a level of standard. Can host multiple events including receptions/ meetings. Owners are quite accommodating. Chefs at the restaurant maintain a good standard. Rooms have alot to be desired. Other places offer better rooms with lower prices.

Being a frequent flyer to Tanzania I can vouch for this hotel. Its very very comfortable. The rooms are clean and tidy. Eceiption,Room service, staff all are friendly and courteous. The food is also good here so no need to go out. They help u out with all your queries and always ready to help.wifi is 24*7 with a good speed so u can work without any worries. The hotel is situated in main city so the market and local offices are very close. Mandir, mosque are also in the close vicinity. All in all great place to stay.

Tried their Saturday buffet for 22000. Somehow the taste was ok. Not at all worth the hype. The sweet qas not all worth it. The manager was going around asking for reviews which was the only thing good . Had a bad case of indigestion the next day. Better order as per the price list .
