Our family stays mostly at the Econolodge while in Dar. Very friendly and helpful staff. We feel safe parking our vehicle outside as well. They have fan and ac rooms single, double and triple beds available. Electricity and self-contained with each room. Within walking distance to food, shopping, business, and easy connection to bus, taxi and airport available. Not a five star hotel but clean, safe, friendly and affordable. Breakfast currently includes bread, fruit, mandazi, chapati, coffee, tea, eggs, a hot cooked bean or lentil dish, and sometimes another dish, and fresh juice. Update: Make reservations early. This is becoming a busy place. There are times they are completely full!

Very old property, very poor room service, staff non cooperative, and inexperienced. Room furniture is broken, shabby ambience, and worst food quality. Please visit the property before you book online.

Great place, not far from the city centre or port and it is affordable on a budget for a single room. Very clean room, smells fresh and they provide complimentary WiFi, which is great. They also have great photos on the walls if that's something that pleases you. One issue I had was with the toilet seat, which was broken and the shower head that seemed rusted, but otherwise a solid 4.5/5 recommended.

The rooms are extremely variable depending on what price you want to pay (the executive rooms are quite nicely furnished and new whereas the basic rooms are... quite basic). There is an elevator and cold water sold in the lobby. The staff is nice and the location is safe and clean. I highly recommend getting street chicken from Mamboz which is right around the corner and the best in Dar in my opinion. The breakfast is fine as well but nothing special so I always go get chapati and beans in the alley outside.

I stay next to econo lodge. Very economical lodge. I see many European tourists staying here. Indian non vegetarian food also served. Good place to stay though the rooms are small. But @22 dollars a day it worth staying. Rooms are small but cozy

The employees are very helpful here, and make sure you have a comfortable, safe place to stay. Location is near all the hardware shops.

It's a place where you can enjoy normal Dar-Es-Salaam life while still not spending much.

More improvements are needed. Cleanliness is needed more. Management has to be on their toes always and not to be in their closed cabins always. Otherwise it's a nice place to stay in the city centre of Dar es salaam. Staff is good. We liked it always.

We stay here often. It is safe, friendly and they take good care of us. When we drive they guard our vehicle. It's not fancy but meets our needs perfectly. Never have had a problem staying here. Many foreigners stay here on their way to and from the airport, especially missionaries and Peace Corp groups.

Newly renovating still. AC and fan in room which was nice. Couldn't hear much from the outside probably due to AC unit. Close to Zanzibar ferry and other good spots, market, restaurants. Breakfast was good but you might need to ask for extra things if the buffet is empty.

Rooms are modern, good and clean. It's locations is perfect for those who like to be in the middle of everything. Grocery's, plenty of restaurants, a marked place, electronic stores. Everything is within a few hundred meters of distance

Horrible hotel full of cocroaches, clean but very old. Nice staff though, I would recommend somewhere else for tourist unless you are under budget.

Kingsize Rooms are very good. Beds are comfortable. Water is running. No toilet cleaning brushes and no sandals in rooms. Breakfast is very basic. Location is very ideal to airport and from City centre.
