Service was fast and staff been attentive. The atmosphere was ok. But food quality was not good at all. Chips was oily, over fried Lemon chicken was burnt πŸ”₯ and better. If this their quality, I don't recommend. Come On Choma you should be better!

A family friendly place with a big seating area which mostly comes alive from evening hours Famous for its bbq.. chicken, beef, mutton and as well as indian/oriental cuisines. Its worth checking the place out. Its not a fancy looking place so if thats what you are looking for a take out is a great option. My favorite food here is their crispy veggie and naans. Very yummy!

We threw our friend a birthday party here and it was just great. Choma hut is spacious, comfortable and just has a calm vibe. The servers are very polite and interactive and the food is just mouthwatering. One thing that annoyed me is the fact that the Sinia dish is just not enough lol πŸ˜‚

went there for the buffet, we enjoyed the service, staff was very welcoming and one item which was missing on the menu was actually replaced with something similar (very rare to find such instance)

It's like stepping into a another world 🌎 the flavours are mixed so well into each batch of food. I really like the attention to details in the decor.

Great place for grilled meat. Mbuzi choma juicy and flavorful. Prices a bit high, but portions are large and meat is of good quality. Note that they do not serve or allow alcohol.

We went for the all you can eat buffet, Best decision ever. You eat until u can’t πŸ˜€. It’s definitely worth the money. Had a smoothie too, very good 😊. Service was a bit slow when we got there but eventually they caught up. I would definitely go back.

The food was awesome and not too expensive! We had the Tandoori Chicken and the Choma chicken. The chips masala was a bit too salty but I still liked it very much.

This African-Indian restaurant is a hidden gem in Dar es Salaam. Very friendly and professional staff, broad variety of food and drink choices, price-quality they offer great value. You feel the hospitality when the lady of this family-owned restaurant, Masuma, comes by your table and let you go with a gift of herbs. It was our second visit to the restaurant and we highly recommend them for African-Indian cuisine. "Come hungry, leave happy" is their slogan and we left twice even superhappy!

One of the best places to eat I’ve found in Dar. The food is definitely one of the best, the customer experience is also really good. Good for families with little children as there is a playground with staff supervision as well

One of my fav places to go and have dinner, instead of suffering the traffic jam in the evening. BBQ, fish and chicken excellent. No alcohol but juices and tea are very good. Quality, good service and very nice ambient. Credit cards accepted. Small parking with security.

Feel better with the taste of BBQ/CHOMA......Indian test mojito and much more

  • 4/5 Kim M. 5 years ago on Google
Food is delicious, but a bit too oily for my liking. Nice variety of chicken, beef, prawns, fish options. Fair prices. Spicy (not hot, but flavourful). Indoor and outdoor seating options. Great for groups. Great location in terms of proximity to other great hangout spots. Highly recommend the Poussine grilled chicken.

Dar es Salaam has loads of Indian BBQ spots but Choma Hut stands out in the consistently high quality of food available there, the varied selection of options on the menu and the wonderful service. It's a family-owned restaurant and the proprietors are always happy to hear the feedback of their patrons and make improvements.

Food was very fresh and served hot. Very good service by the waiters. The owner takes time to come to table to ensure all is well and makes some suggestions on what to eat. Was a good experience.

A very good restaurant, with good service, tasty food and a wide range of varieties to choose from.. It was very delightful to see a prayer room within the restaurant making it convenient for customers to pray.... 😊

Kind of ok. I dont think I will visit again. The food is rather overpriced and the portion of the main food was somewhat small. 70 percent of food served was Chipsi. I ordered the choma set, zanziba pizza and changu which costed me 40,000 in total including drinks. Good things about the place are that staff are kind and polite; moreover, the place is clean and wide open. I wish food was great.
