Have been going here since 1995, lots of memories here. Everything remains the same the food and interior. Wouldn't change a thing. The interior is nostalgic, reminds of the good old days.

One of the most, if not, the most famous Tea shop in Tanzania, with its 80's-90's setup, nothing fancy, pretty much a small corridor with a few tables and chairs. It has this unique vibe, with witty waiters and regular customers im groups discussing everyday topics. The samosas and the kebabs are my favorites, with the coconut chutney and slices of lemon on the side. The tea is strong, full of flavors from different tea leaves. They even have unsweetened tea for diabetics or anyone who doesnt use sugar. Overall a nice experience.

Had heard really good reviews about this place. Until I tried for myself. Cup of Tea is a specialty. Really enjoyed. The muttons kebabs and Samosa were superb. They should improve on the sitting area and ventilation of the shop.

Kabab was ok. Shaami kabab was ok too. Samosa was perfect but a bit oily. The main issue for food: all served cold :( Tea: was fantastic. It's worth to try once.

Small but busy place all the time with few seats inside. You can pass-by it without recognizing there is a "t-shop" here. I took the best chai of the town with a tiny sweet cake which costs only 5000 TZS (2 cups of tea and cake). The staffs are mixed between old men and youngsters who can't speak English but show their best support with body language and big smiles.

A very good place for snack munching like samosa and kebabs, or chapati, cutlet, have tea. Seating is not family friendly nor comfortable, but food and tea there lets you forget the absence of ambience.

K Tea is a charming and delightful café that has captured the essence of Africa's Local Milk Tea like no other. This hidden gem, tucked away in the heart of the city, offers a truly exceptional tea experience that will leave you craving more. As a tea enthusiast, I was absolutely captivated by the rich and authentic flavors K Tea has to offer.

Small place. Duration to get food (chips & mayai) was 10 minutes. Reasonable. Food selection is limited. But tasty. I took takeway and honestly, the takeaway bag was clean and professional including a pakcet of tomato sauce and another one for salad. Its worth a revisit.

I had gone on a public holiday and it was booming with customers, what you get is an authentic experience with local food made on the spot. Don't be fooled by its small size, the food and chai is exceptional and will leave your heart wanting more. The place could be slightly cleaner, but given how busy they were, its forgivable. A pleasant experience. Nice to walk along the side of the ocean and experience the buzz of people at the local restaurants. Not really a Sandy beach type of place but good views. You can also get a short boat ride around the bay or a long boat ride to the island. My video on this is coming soon to You Tube. See the Charcmode You Tube channel for more.

The place is amazing. They serve regional and international dishes. You can eat lobster here or try local beef broth with chapatti. All tables are protected from the sun and the benches are very comfortable and equiped with pillows. I love their tuna steak. It's so big and perfectly prepared. The staff is always nice and very friendly.

The ambiance is great; one of the best places to enjoy a meal as u enjoy the African sunset as God intended at creation. I sampled a tender goat meat dish, served with deep fried & dried bananas with vegetable salad. I liked everything except the salad (served without any dressing). Price is comparable to other restaurants of same calibre in Dar. Customer service was average. During the day/evening u may have to contend with some "Indian House crows" anxious to grab a piece of ur meal. Seems like a very popular place, patronized by locals & foreigners. It will be great to designate a specific area for smokers. Overall, a great place

  • 4/5 Jo-marie L. 3 years ago on Google
I love this place but it is really pricey for example the mtori. One bowl of mtori cost 15,000 tsh but our local diner serves mtori at such a cheap price that my whole family can have 2 bowls of mtori and enough chapatis as the same price at The Waterfront. I suggest there be a smokers area for smokers because I only went twice but each time I went, there was smoke and it was very disruptive. But the food was amazing.

☕ The tea here is delicious. It gives the Indian vibe. They are also famous for their Kara kababs. After a long cycling ride you will enjoy breakfast here. Their service is fast. 👩‍🍳 They serve samosas kachori mix and other stuff as well. The prices are good, cup of chai is 2000tsh. 📍 Enough place to sit inside they have extra room also. Parking is an issue so I would recommend takeaway.

I dont know how or why anyone could put anything less than 5 stars for this place. On arrival I wasnt sure this was the correct place because it just looked shady. After checking the menu it sounded like the place everyone talks about and its called KT Shop - cant be coincidence, it must be the right place. So I put aside my reservations on appearance and ordered the samosas, kebabs and the bajjia. They were absolutely amazing!! I had the tea with it too. Completely blew my mind! I have had this stuff back in London and this is another level. The price is very cheap too! Highly highly recommend. The food, drink and service alone deserves more than 5stars. The location wont even come into it when you take your first bite and sip. Highly highly recommend!
