Good place in my opinion but the data is too old they are showing the information of 6- 7 standard students. This is a total bhaiya street view so you can believe me and on my review. Means in my opinion this should be called a children museum not for all. If you are a class 10th student you will not enjoy it and you will feel that your money has got wasted. I am giving you the overview that they are showing as this is moon this is mars this is Neptune etc. Maximum it goes for 22 to 25 minutes in which you will only listen a lecture of nearly 20 minutes in that 25 minutes with a darkness inside the room. And the lecture was also not very interesting they are only just saying this is known this is earth It has one satellite this is mouse this as dash satellite means there only giving the knowledge that young 5th to 6th standard student knows. So in my opinion I have not seriously enjoyed it because I was known to it and even those who are there also does not know about that they also don't enjoy it because it was too boring and they are getting a sleep that 25 minutes of time. So in my opinion it is only for a third fourth standard student it is not for adults. Thank you for reading this review and I hope you will UP vote this review for my this little effort. thank you very much.

This planetarium has conducted various exhibitions and shows in related to astronomy. This attracts many tourists and many people from abroad visit this place very often. To know more about space and research one should pay visit to this place. The institute continues its developments But there are some problems, As I felt during the show like The management of this organization keeps the entry of people in the hall during the show's start. Thereby, those who see the show there have to face problems.

Exploring solar system.nice infrastructure. Clean and green environment for the visitors. Very knowledgeable activity for all spectators and specially for children. They learn about solar system and their phenomenon. Here people can reach easily by local transport and own transport. Local environment is clean but due to air pollution some problems are occur.

Misused in the name old name and heritage. The movie about the stars they show is still something very old and one can find better videos on YouTube itself. Upon that they are charging for this show 50rs. Hardly the common crowd could understand. Nothing special about this place other than dirty roofing, dirt fountain. I surely request the owner to renovate and get some better videos to show about star world. They need urgent upgradation

There is nothing worth to visit here except the 30 min show. Only 30 min show @ 250 each individual. And the topic depends on your luck. And there is time allotted for show @12:30 pm, @ 2:00pm, @3:30 pm, @5:00pm and special some time @11:00 Am. if you came just after show time you have to time pass upto next showtime, very boring. Show is also not so exciting that finally you have to feel some good. NOT ANY VIDEO TYPE, only some photo and audio in dark night I feel ticket should only be @10 enough. I am very disappointed

Located in the city of Patna, Indira Gandhi Planetarium or Patna planetarium is one of the oldest and largest planetariums of Asia. It is also popularly known as Taramandal, meaning a circle of stars and is one of the most well-maintained planetariums. Famed as one of the largest planetariums of the country, it attracts thousands of both domestic and foreign visitors. A wide range of film shows on subjects related to astronomy is showcased here. Apart from that, exhibitions are also held on various related topics for the visitors.

It's a beautiful place. Here you can spend your time with friends & family. It has a beautiful garden too. Due to old projector and story, I'll give 4-star. These days all the planetarium in India have been updated or upgrading. The government of Bihar also needs to take an attention on it and upgrade the system in 3D. Overall all the things inside and outside of the Patna planetarium was good and clean!

Nothing has actually changed here since 10 years..Same set of old and misleading commentary, flavoured with still pictures projected on the dome.. Actually many information are outdated and very misleading...2 stars, only because at least there's a planetarium which can be even of little help...Birla planetarium at Kolkata has recently got updated the sky projector and you can see videos also(there)..

Outdated. Projector does not work properly most of the time. It looks like you are being shown poor cartoons of planets in PowerPoint in a dark room. They r still carrying on with 1980's system while today is era of immersive virtual reality. For most of the objects you hear blank descriptions without illustration. Totally waste of time and money. If they cant upgrade it they should close it.

A good concept to educate the enthusiasts about space.. but needs a few modifications to attract general public for it's true purpose . There are even several shops here for a variety of goods ... ranging from artworks to daily utility items

It's a nice family getaway place in Patna . With a good amount of crowd on weekends. It is basically a planetarium with a relatively outdated information video being played for years now. I can guarantee you that the recording hasn't changed a bit for over 7 years now. BTW it has 40 odd minutes show with a ticket price of Rs. 50. Also just across the street from the planetarium is the old patna museum. You should visit both. But do remember the planetarium has only 3-4 shows a day and it is closed on Mondays. So keep that in mind. I would recommend taking your kids..it would be a learning experience for them.

This planetarium saw you a show of Universe, Solar system Black hole ? , and also explain details of origin of earth from Big Bang Theory..... at a price of 250/-...... Patna's Indira Gandhi Science Complex is one of the largest planetarium in asia. The planetarium was constructed through Bihar Council on Science & Technology at a total cost of about ₹11 Crores.[2] It was conceptualised in 1989 by Bihar Chief Minister Shri Satyendra Narain Sinha with construction[3] commencing in the same year, and opened for the public from 1 April 1993.[2] It is named after senior Indian National Congress leader and former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi. Patna Planetarium is one of the largest planetariums in Asia. It attracts many domestic as well as foreign tourists. The planetarium has regular film shows on subjects related to astronomy. It also holds exhibitions, which attract many visitors.[4] The planetarium uses traditional opto-mechanical projection of celluloid film.[5] In contrast to more modern digital projectors, the opto-mechanical system uses films that are difficult to change. As a consequence, the same film may be shown for years The first digital planetarium of Bihar was planned to open in late 2016 at the premises of Shrikrishna Science Centre near Gandhi Maidan in Patna.[5] The planetarium has been developed at a cost of Rs 5 crore and is equipped with a Carl Zeiss digital projector system.[6]
