This is only airport in darbhanga. Place is neat and clean. You can reach airport via train ( book a auto from railway station) or bus ( reach Delhi more by bus then do auto or you can walk too). Airport is empty and not much crowded at a time of flight you might see a rush. You can fly most of the places from here( direct and connected flight). Place is neat and clean and well managed by cisf. Do come little early for smooth check-in process. People are friendly and helpful.

This is the worst airport of India. Very very small, super crowded and no facility at all. Passengers are not allowed to take vehicles inside. You have to carry all your luggage from the road to inside the airport by yourself. You can not take luggage cart inside the airport. Carry big big luggage in your hands only. You have to wait outside for hours and hours because there is no waiting area inside. Even before getting in bus, you have to wait by sitting on plastic chairs. Plastic chairs! Can you imagine? Modi hai to mumkin hai.

Has a good runway. Pleasant landing. Defence Airstrip is being used with a civil airline management kiosk. Does the job in simple way. Toilets could have been more clean and functional.

Darbhanga Airport is located at Aerodrome Darbhanga, Ranipur, Darbhanga, Bihar 847242 India. Darbhanga Airport have really very much helpful and supportive staff working in very efficiently in less resources. I hope the infrastructure and basic facilities must be improved in future. Yes foot walk made with roof. Somehow the passengers feel relief. The walk way towards the terminal is now nearest to the entrance of airport. New entrance gate and exit gate is open and easy for the passengers. I really save the time to traveling from Darbhanga Airport. Earlier I was going from the Patna Airport. Love to visit again.

Pathetic Airport. No rules and Regulations, there's no one there to control the que. Management is at worse. Airport is smaller than the bus station but thats not the problem, Its again the non standard way of running the airport. Security checkin takes more than 1 hour 15 min. Really need a major improvement to run this airport. I won't recommend darbhanga airport to anyone, you can go for patna.

Airport is small but good but airlines have to take some action to improve services, like baggage scanning only one is operating, security check is taking to much time. If two flight scheduled time of departure very close to each other definitely someone will miss his flight or flight will be delayed Easily accessible by road, Airport staff is helpful. But the terminal is too crowded needs a bigger size hall. Wheelchairs are easily available.

Road to Darbhanga is good. Airport is very small and crowded. Vehicles are not allowed inside the airport premise, so one has to leave the car on highway and walk with the luggage from there. Can be bit more hectic if u r with lots of luggage and kids.

This Airport is less than half KM away from Dilli More Bus Stand and 4 Lane National Highway 57.

Small airport... Clean place... High level security... However waiting place for travellers before boarding is not good.. you have to wait outside airport where no AC available.... Airport is good overall... It's new... Developing stage.

Here only two flights are available one is spicejet and another is indigo flight , to take a bording pass you have to come 2 hours before if you are late then no one will help you . if you want to do some office work inside the airport than you have not single place to put laptop.

Darbhanga Airport is a very important airport in terms of convenience as it saves time for various people such as nearby Nepal border people along with that the airport needs a lot of infrastructure development because the space inside the airport is very less which causes a very hassle experience as the security check takes a lot of time, therefore, I recommend everyone to reach the airport before 2 hrs boarding so that you can have your all procedure before time.Airport is smaller than the bus station but thats not the problem, Its again the non standard way of running the airport. Airport is still under development. Only 2 gates for departure and 1 belt for arrival leads to crowding. No proper seating, air conditioning doesn't work. Only positive is the team handling the airport is very accommodating.

One of the worst managed airports in India. 1. Highway connectivity indeed is very good nd u will reach the final crossroad to the airport within your planned time but real struggle starts when u reach the final crossing which is about 700m from the airport. Vehicles from all 4 directions are merging at the same point without any arrangement of traffic signal or even a traffic police. I almost missed my flight even before reaching this point 2 hrs before the departure time. 2. There is no regulation to control the flow of traffic ie. The road was full of trucks and buses impairing other vehicles to move. Local vendors were controlling the traffic using wooden and iron rods damaging your expensive cars. There should be a separate road to the aiport(like all other cities in India) which should not be disturbed by the trucks nd buses. 3. Even at the airport gate there is no arrangement for parking nd you have to literally run with ur luggage otherwise u will end blocking all the vehicles around. There is single road without any separation to channelise the vehicles in 2 lanes. 4. The airport main gate is obstructed by the local taxi drivers trying to sell their plans nd their is security arrangement at the gate as well. In the pics u can see the situation of the traffic and the condition of cleanliness as well. 5. Challenges will not end even after entering the airport. After entering the main gate u have walk for around 500m to reach the check in door. Even inside the airport there is not ample sitting arrangements for passengers. Most of them have to stand waiting for their flights. Toilets are also very dirty and stinky so drink water at your own risk if u are planning to travel from this place. It's a disaster to see an operational airport in such a condition. Don't know where all the multi crores have been spent. Hopefully I will never have to use this airport again.

A small but feasible airport that has everything of necessity but nothing more and nothing less. Don't expect that you can spend hours here before your flight as there are no stores or waiting area, just entry and exit gates, 1 convener belt and that is it. The airport is small but clean and well maintained and has a history of its own which if possible do explore.

Darbhanga Airport has started functioning just few years ago which has given a new sky to the people of Mithila. It has connected IT city, Metro cities with direct services. Management should look after the facilities and services very carefuly to make it grow, better.

Service is vary bad. They will check your luggage weight as well as your cabin bag weight. SpiceJet is looting here basically. They make sure luggage is upto 15kg and cabin as 7 kg not the both as sum i.e 15+7 . Also have travelled multiple places in india but this rule is only here. I agree due to Airforce rules and regulations should be there but the service is worse. No one will take care about lines. About food. The laptop box which is used to scan bags n laptops are very dirty. Suggestion- do check your luggage weights if a single 100g will be more they are here to charge for this😒.

1. Poorly maintained toilets. 2. Poor mobile signal. 3. Insufficient space for movement even between two block of chairs. 4. Post boarding gate area is open to keep it hot always if passanger has to wait.

Really Poorly Managed airport. There are other smaller airports managed beautifully. But this is completely mis managed airport. Not sure why but even Flight keeps getting delayed. And this is very frequent. AAI should review and revive it. They should take the responsibility and provide better infrastructure. Possible reason could be very high number of air passengers. If this is the case AAI should have developed and bigger one Even Approach road to airport is pathetic. I shall get worse day by day

Very poor service and facilities inside airport. No LED screen work which can help you to see status of your flight. Scanner does not work, so if you have digital boarding pass, that will not work, you have to take physical ticket only. Wrost security, even people can go inside without security check. No covid protocol being followed.

Need to improve and most importantly things upgrade, anyway it's ok compared with Bihar region, it's good

Wonderful experience, very nice airport. All negative reviews are exaggerated. It is understood that a new airport takes time to develop. Passengers are not co-operative but the security and airline staff do a good job to handle high 🚦 volume.

It has infrastructure like a bus stand. A number of flights but inadequate space to accommodate even one flight's passengers and therefore you will always encounter complete chaos. Feel lucky if you get a trolly / wheel chair at entrance. The departure terminal is about 400 mts away from the entry gate and just imagine if it's hot sunny day or if raining. Once you are out you will be troubled by a large number of travel agents /touts. The approach road to the airport from the highway is always jam due to heavy and unregulated traffic. It's been a year since it became operational but there is hardly any improvement. This airport has huge potential to become one of the busiest airports and the authorities must ensure overall infrastructural development as a priority.

Worst airport ever. You are not allowed to drive car in the airport to drop or pick passenger, no public transport access. Frequent cancellation of flights, so if you are in emergency never book a flight to or from Darbhanga. Bhagwaan bachaye aise airport se.

One of the worst airport in India. No facilities, No maintenance at all. Sometimes we can see people with motor bike and scooter at airport 😂 AND VERY CROWDED
