    The Kranichstein hunting lodge is a former hunting lodge in the Kranichstein district of the same name in the north of Darmstadt. It was originally built in 1578 for Landgrave George I of Hesse-Darmstadt. The castle is one of the few remaining baroque hunter's farms in Germany. Today the complex houses a hunting museum and a hotel with a restaurant.

    Went to the restaurant today for the lunch buffet. It's a bit more upscale but for 39 EURO per person you get super good food and an appetizer and a coffee are also included. Food great and staff very friendly and attentive. All in all very satisfied, will definitely come back again.

    Really nice facility, very nice for a walk. Unfortunately the cake isn't that amazing. Therefore “just” OK.

    The atmosphere is great and the staff is very nice and accommodating. Unfortunately our food wasn't that good, it was only lukewarm, the grilled vegetables were more than al dente and the apple strudel wasn't baked all the way through. But maybe it was because of the large company that not everything was on point

    A very great castle complex with a very nice park. The gastronomy and the hotel are the best in Darmstadt. Very well maintained, great staff and a breakfast to fall in love with. A facility in Darmstadt Castle could take a lesson from this and see what you can implement if you want to and don't just want to build an event park.

    Kranichstein Castle is always worth a trip and hike, whether in winter or summer. The hotel is the best there is outside of Darmstadt. The collections in the castle are unique and special tours with parents are offered for children.

    The Hotel Jagdschloss Kranichstein is probably one of the best hotels in Darmstadt. The peace and quiet on the outskirts of the city is particularly pleasant. Very nice staff and everything is always clean and pleasing. Particularly suitable for company meetings with the rooms.
