Food is good - a bit over price - service is between 20 to 30 min until food is served - pre reservation isn't need it .

One of the best restaurants in Darmstadt. The food is fresh and absolutely delicious, service is quick and the ambience is lovely. The portion size is good and the menu includes both vegetarian and non vegetarian options. They have parking at the premises. Book a table before you visit.

It's not a bad place, but it kind of annoyed me that they mentioned the upcoming price increase due to vat increase. I do understand that but please just let me enjoy my meal and the drink. We're all fed up with complaints and negative Infos.

Went there with high expectations because everyone around me told me that this is the best traditional German restaurant in town. To be honest it was beautiful inside but the food was just average. Nothing special to be very honest. Lacking salt, the fried potatoes were huge pieces and not entirely fried and soggy. Service was as good as I’ve never seen it in Germany before. The waitress was always super attentive to our demands. One sad thing was for me: even the Brewery Grohe is right next door they served beer from another brewery but on the other hand the first owner of the restaurant founded the brewery where the beer is coming from. Service and Ambiance saved the restaurant the fourth star in this review.

I had the pleasure of dining at this incredible restaurant on two separate occasions, and if I were a resident of Darmstadt, I would undoubtedly make it a regular spot. Whenever I peruse the menu, my eyes are immediately drawn to the pork dishes, as they are my personal favorite. However, during our first visit, we were accompanied by a vegan friend. While the rest of us indulged in the delectable pork offerings, she opted for the vegan risotto. The dish looked so tantalizing that I couldn't resist taking a bite myself. To my surprise, it was absolutely delicious! The experience left such an impression on me that I knew I had to return to savor the restaurant's risotto in its entirety. As a non-vegan, I can confidently say that you must give it a try! This place is perfect for those seeking a restaurant that caters to both vegan and meat-loving palates, offering mouthwatering options like pork, beef, and chicken. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Have been visiting this restaurant on Christmas day as I was nearby and the ratings have been good. It was packed and I had no reservation so I was lucky to catch a seat. I have decided to give their Christmas menu a try: Roasted geese consomme ( potato dumplings, truffle ) priced at 7.50 EUR as starter, boar pate ( puff pastry, minced game with plum and kohlrabi, potato gratin, red cabbage salad with pomegranate ) priced at 23.50 EUR as main course and Christmas dessert in a glass ( cinnamon cherries, orange panna cotta, chocolate mousse, speculoos sprinkles ) priced at 7.90 EUR. The menu itself was fine in taste - but since I consider the starter overpriced I have to deduct 1 star. Staff ( Laura in my case ) was very friendly and attentive.

Top option for German/ Hessische food. The menu is surprisingly extended, food is very tasty, good meat and dishes are big. Big restaurant with cozy atmosphere divided into smaller rooms and with traditional construction. Prices are a bit high, but it's worth the quality and service

Beautiful place. Feels like those old wooden taverns (and it's old as 1871), with a very good taste in decoration. Asked for a bolognese schnitzel with spatzle, with tasted just great. A must do in Darmstadt.

Very nice food, especially the salad, great service, willingness to humour the customer's whims, and a cosy setting. Just one minor thing: the place felt a little too stuffy on a rainy day.

Excellent food in a friendly atmosphere. We tasted a variety of dishes but Schnitzel with asparagus was something else. Service was fast and the staff very helpful. A must place to be.

The Schnitzel is absolute delicious! Adding melting cheese and the ''music'' to it is just a pure enjoyment. They also have the local speciality ''green sauce''. As someone who has never tried it before, it opened a new realm for me. Not to mention the staff and the atmosphere are all great. Definitely a good place to visit and have good food.

Restaurant offering local and seasonal dishes at good quality as well as beer at a bit above average prices. The interior is in traditional style, lots of wood. Can be packed in the evenings, so better call ahead. Easy to find and reach by public transport.

The restaurant Sitte is one of the best restaurants in Darmstadt and the best to go with the family. There are amenities for children that make parents' lives much easier, plus the food is delicious, the atmosphere is great, and the service is super friendly. A sure place to take friends or family in the city.

I had the rumpsteak madagaska, perfectly cooked to medium rare, the taste was good. They served very quickly eventhough it was New Year’s Eve

Ah the Sitte. It's been a while but it didn't disappoint. Goats cheese starter was delicious, steak was succulent and the beer came cold in a ceramic mug. Service was friendly and attentive. A great experience once again.

The place is not bad, and stuff are friendly, but for that prices honestly I know better places with more tasty dishes. Second time was there and second time the same problem with quite dry Schnittstelle.

I tried the salmon lasagna and it was great. The service was super nice as well even they if they were full. Allowed us to pay separately.

My salmon lasagna portion was huge and pretty good. My friend had a steak with gnocchi and loved it. The restaurant design is pretty elegant and interesting!
