I DON'T KNOW DAVAO WELL, BUT I KNOW GOOD FOOD! Hi there! CDO's top foodie here. THE SPACE: Matina Swiss Deli is on a busy street, but has a reasonable amount of parking out front. You have to walk through the deli to get to the dining room, and you immediately get the impression that each one relies on the other. The dining room is clean, bright and spacious. It does not get particularly noisy, but that is probably due to the smaller table sizes and lack of big groups when the two times (in my two-day visit to Davao) that I dined there. The silverware and plates were nice. The seating was comfortable. THE SPACE: 3 stars. THE FOOD: The food is absolutely fantastic. We tried pastas, sandwiches, salads, soups, two meat dishes, and found them all to be excellent, with an abundance of cheese, home-made pickled vegetables, gravies, and chips. I also have to include in the food section of this review the items that can be purchased in the deli, which is an absolutely grand assortment of in-house cured meats, imported cheeses, as well as other canned and dried goods. Between the overwhelming variety of the dining room menu and the overwhelming variety of the deli stock... it was all pretty overwhelming. THE FOOD: 5 stars. THE SERVICE: The service was absolutely fine. I noticed the staff didn't spend their idle seconds watching customers, but they weren't missing anything either. THE SERVICE: 4 stars. THE PRICE: Overall, the prices were a bit better than reasonable. While nothing was priced substantially lower than I would have expected, I still felt like I was getting a good deal. The prices in the deli are (based on a later visit to Ayala where I saw a few of the same cold cuts for sale) the same as other retail outlets (but again: with a vastly better selection). THE PRICE: 4 stars. SUMMARY: Matina Swiss Deli is a fantastic restaurant with a great menu of European dishes that do not disappoint. Bring extra money to do some shopping at the counter, because I think that is every bit as important a reason to step through the doors as the meal you are served. The doubled-up shop/dine experience you have here just makes The Swiss Deli all the more worth a visit. TOTAL: 16/20 (4 stars)

So much love for this restaurant. The attentive service, the delectable food, even most of the pricing have been the same since I first visited 4 years ago. Mad respect for the consistency. I used to come here for wine and beer (you could never go wrong with german beers). You can buy them here for a very affordable price. This place is going to make the hearts of wine enthusiasts happy. Definitely, you can stay here for hours and explore different types of imported wines (red, and white, even vintage ones), amd other beverages. My personal favorite Francis Coppola (2014) Cabernet was available here. Lots of German beer, my favorite Pilger cost just 120 pesos for 500ml. Gotta love this place. ADD: you can buy wines by bottle and drink it there, (instead of per glass, to pay lesser) you just have to add 150 service charge, they will serve you with guaranteed better drinking experience.

After being a loyal customer and bringing many of my friends over the past couple years, today the female owner gangs up against me with some police to say I'm constantly rude and hard headed because I didn't bring a mask... Thanks for being on my side... Really upset. I loved this place...

It was a good experience. Staffs are accomodating and friendly. They have limited parking space but their location is very easy to find. They have lots of food choices, they also have breads and cake area and alao frozen foods why I love.

Food was delicious and good quality. Menu had variety of options. The processed meat and variety of chees available for sale and prices very reasonable . I recommend this place

Very good food ! Price was correct in listing as $$ . Had the Pork Tenderloin Medallions with Mushroom sauce. Highly recommend. Also had the Seafood Chowder soup in a Bread bowl bun. EXCELLENT and great value. Portions are generous and food is Spot On for flavor / Taste. Service was great as well. Menu has European flare leaning more to Swiss cuisine. Some casual Filipino foods as well. Recommend for date night or out with Family.

Food is outstanding, great service and a really private feel. If you are willing to taste the best food, then you better be willing to spend on it. Will not recommend for dates, but a sure place to treat your parents.

Maybe the best place if you like german/european food. The Restaurant is very good, friendly staff, good food. And you can buy a lot of european grocery (Lebensmittel) , bread, coldcuts (Aufschnitt), Cheese (sometimes even cambozola!), good Ham (sometimes Serano, sometimes Parma, sometimes Jamon. German Jam (Marmelade), Knäckebrot, Bratwurst (BBQ-Saussage), Leberkäse. And mostly you get some new connection for free. They have also some very good White- and Redvines, for an affordable Price.

Very high quality ingredients including imported foods. It's easy to become a regular customer here with the many fine choices to choose from.

If you are looking for Cold Cuts, cheeses and other europeam food. It's here.People are friendly, decent pricing lots of selection. Guts and Günstig brand is herr sad that they remove this in Robinsons but can still find it here. You can also eat here there is a restuarant

Very delicous - even for a critical German 😉 the food is very near to the origin food. Tastes like Home. Also the bread and sausages are very yummy 😍

Great bread supplier, the ciabatta bread is delicious. Get all your regular charcuterie components here. Great cold cuts choices and Decent cured meats and cheese selection.

It was surprising for me to find such place here, as a swiss citizen I naturally miss my food and it was a great experience to eat there. Although I can't put 5 stars because it's still need some necessary improvements that I'll not detail here, but I recommend it for anyone curious about our gastronomy

Nice restaurant and deli, many European dishes and products. Big servings, is good, but same like another places with European owners have service fee, not sure people here happy to get 10% more bill that they order. If any administration read this, just include fee to prices in the menu, don't worry, it's still good purposes for your dishes.

Has a decent range of deli goods, breads, offers European food. Its my go to place if I want some Ciabatta Bread and its where i found my mint chocolate sticks too... love it.

The place need a bit of illumination the last time we visited. Ordered my usual soup but a bit disappointed with the almost burnt bread. Anyway just a feedback so they could be more consistent.

Their platter of cold cuts is delicious. I also love their tiramisu. In the shop, they have assorted meats, sausages, cheese and all sorts of items that can be put on a charcuterie board. I wish they have available wine for tasting since we have hard time selecting which wine best suits for our charcuterie.

THERE IS NO PLACE IN DAVAO LIKE SWISS DELI! It is everybody's favourite, one-stop shop for European and Mediterranean delights.They offer a good selection of hams, sausages, cheese, sauces, aperitifs --- and all stuffs that vivify your charcuteries and realize your European cuisine musings. Plus, the restaurant is simply amazing! Don't miss their marinated beef ribs and creme brulee.

Great food but very crowded and noisy for a cozy place. Staffs were sometime accommodating but exhausted. Management should have a plan on how to manage the crowd really.

Good and fresh baked breads and pastries. Good selection of cold cuts and cheeses. Food in the resto is so, sos, not that fantastic. Beef tapa is always tough.

Nice food and a decent range of deli goods. A bit pricey, but you'll find things here you can't easily get other places in the area.

The place was not crowded when my wife and I went there. I like their food and desserts.
