Very solemn church. After mass, the priest called and blessed the birthday celebrants for the day, and the church goers sang a birthday song for them. For security, there were officers at the gate inspecting the bags of the visitors.

Saint Peter's Metropolitan Cathedral, also known as San Pedro Cathedral or Davao Cathedral, is the ecclesiastical seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Davao. An earlier church, said to be in the Neo-Gothic style, was built on the same site as the current cathedral in 1847. In the 1960s, due to its small size, the Diocese of Davao sought funds to enlarge the church to resemble an ark, hence the pointed front with a cross. A separate bell tower was also built. The cathedral has witnessed two bombing incidents: an incident in 1981 that killed 17 people, and one in 1993 that killed seven people.

This is a Cathedral located in Davao City. It has an interesting architecture on the outside. Made largely of concrete it gives a modern look when being viewed on the exterior. The concrete gives that cold vibe to the design, but as soon as you go inside you will see the warm lights surrounding the interior and the wooden seats that face the central altar. Interesting to note also, the cathedral is facing the city government buildings. When you want to go around San Pedro street to look for interesting contemporary architecture, don't forget to stop by San Pedro Cathedral.

San Pedro Metropolitan Cathedral is located at San Pedro St., Poblacion, Davao. It is one of the oldest church and is considered as a history landmark in Davao. The spot is accessible to commercial establishments like banks, restaurants, inns and the like. It is one of the most beautiful churches I have visited in the Philippines.

The cathedral is a massive work of art and policemen are scattered in the area safeguarding the visitors and the place. Its also close to nearby parks such as osmena park, rizal park, city hall of davo and a few walk going to bangkerohan market.

A historic church in downtown Davao City located across Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Davao building in San Pedro Street. Army are now guarding the church due to the recent bombing of a cathedral in Jolo. Bringing of backpacks is now prohibited in the church. Masses are held all throughout the day, all days of the week with schedule posted just outside the church. Vendors of candles and other religious items can be found inside the church complex. CCTVs are installed around the church as an additional security in the area.

The Cathedral have English masses. The homily is in cebuano though or maybe depends on the mass presider.

A Cathedral of Davao City designed by Davao City very own late Architect and Civil engineer Manuel N. Chiew who was born down the street in San Pedro.. archway with stained glass rose window with the most spacious seating and radial pews and a added huge ceiling fans. Architecture dominated by Curve parapets similar to the notre dame chapel in ronchamp france.

One of the biggest and with unique structure Cathedral I've been. It is a round building which you can see 360° view from the altar. It has a big fan on top so its a bit windy plus the church is open both sides so its not really hot even there's a lot of people. Church staff also organizes seats during the mass, they will assist you if there's still vacant seats so you can sit. Restroom: FREE (you can give donation voluntarily) All in all the place is very nice, if you love visiting churches San Pedro Cathedral is A MUST TO VISIT. So add it to your list! Outside the church there is food stall, small stalls for saints figurines, bracelet and many more holy accessories. There's park in front of church and fastfoods and many more!

Is a place of worship of Catholic people in Davao City. Church goers love more to attend Holy Mass here because the celebrant (Priest) will give time to bless with Holy Water the birthday celebrants and couple who are celebrating there wedding anniversary, and the churchgoers will sing a birthday song.

An iconic landmark in the center of Davao City. The cathedral's roof is shaped like a boat maybe it is a nod to Noah's Arc. One can buy intention candles to the nice senior and differently-abled people outside the cathedral for Php 20 for 3 candles and light them in the candle place within the cathedral grounds. Note that it is not allowed to bring big bulky bags such as backpacks inside the cathedral, for safety and security reasons.

a place where you can cleanse your soul and have a deep talk with God. you can feel the solemnity even if it's in the heart of the busy city. a place where you can give everybody a chance. a chance to see the light of righteousness. a highly recommended place if you feel lost. a place where you can feel the Divine intervention.
