Those that say the food is expensive, want their food for free and even then they would complain. Unlike a lot of eateries, that eatery pays proper taxes, wages and benefits. They use the best ingredients and their kitchen is modern, ask to view it, they will gladly show you. You cannot take food inside the eatery which I can understand because it is place that sells food, that is their business, selling food. How could they pay their bills, staff if everyone is allowed to bring in their own food. The place is called the Blue Carabao Diner, not the Blue Carabao picnic area. If someone gets sick from their own food, they could blame that business and put it in a lot of trouble.

Despite of the lack of parking area, the place is crowded during peak hours as it was definitely the choice to eat for some office workers, merchants and even those transacting in government offices nearby. The food is great, affordable and in large servings. Must try their pochero and other local cooking.

Self Service When you tired of commissary-restaurant food and want home cooked food. Servings are good sized. Had Bangus and beefsteak Tagalog. Worth the money, this is a Find ! Clean kitchen. Value for money. Non Aircon, but focused on food quality, taste and value.

In my 25 years… finally! Nakasulay na gyud ko’g kaon sa Blue Carabao (now known as BluCab Cafe) 🥹 BluCab is a long-standing legend. It is definitely among the must-try diners in Davao City. And I am happy to have found them in their new location along Monteverde St. (near the fire station). The diner offers Filipino home-cooked meals at affordable prices. It was unbelievable that our bill only totaled 390 PHP. Quarter-leg fried chicken, huge piece of lumpia, pork steak in 200 ml tub, and two big servings of rice ALL AT 390 PHP! 😳👌🏻 TANAN LAMI. Lumpia was fresh, hot and crispy! Its vinegar sauce made it more flavorsome. I loved the overall saltiness and sourness. The fried chicken, on the other hand, had tasty breading and was well-cooked. Although no longer crispy, the fried chicken was delicious. Dili kaayo tender ang pork steak pero okay lang! Portante lami. Amo lang gi take out para maluto usab and tenderize. The best thing about this kind of places is that you can always ask for soup at no additional cost. In order words, FREE SABAW. 😂 We actually had lunch at 12:30 pm and thankfully, there were available seats when we arrived. Even at 1:00 pm, BluCab Cafe was still busy and booming. Staffs were approachable and welcoming. Simply put, the place was lively and full of positive energy. BluCab Cafe deserves recognition for their quality dishes and customer service. It became clear to me as to why many people patronize this place. It was not due to hype or anything similar. Lami lang gyud ilang pagkaon plus sulit. Normally, I would not expect much from a Filipino eatery. However, I had a really good experience dining at BluCab Cafe. I was comfortable. I was happy. I was full.

Food was superb. Grabe kasarap😋😋😋 Friendly staff👍. Location, not my ideal. Country side would be better with the view of the mountains and spring😉. Overall its excellent. ❤️👌

I would say they're the best version of the Filipino Karinderya in Davao City. Large servings of delicious, home-cooked meals. You also see that they practice standard food safety and sanitation measures. No wonder they've thrived for this long.

Although the meals are not that cheap when compared to other karenderias, they got a wide array of dishes that can make your mouth water. So far, I've experienced no problems with the staffs. The meals have a huge serving. On top of that, the quality of the food is great. In addition, the ambience of the place is not your typical filipino karenderia. For me, the place got a cowboy feel to it. If you're craving for food and you're from around the neighborhood... come and definitely visit the place.

We stopped by the Blue Cab Cafe in Davao city. It was an amazing experience with the Philippinos local foods. The place is clean, packed with people and very friendly staffs. The dishes we had were very tasty and we left with big and happy bellies. We also had a chance to meet the owner Francis Scott. We definitely come back more often once we are in Davao again.
