My husband and I had the BEST experience at Sol Bungalows, and we have no doubt we will be back. From the minute you plan your trip with them, your hosts Drew and Tamara do everything they can to ensure that you have the best Bocas Del Toro experience possible. And they succeed. They listened to the activities, tours, and experiences we were interested in and then took care of lining up everything, which was incredibly convenient and helpful. We highly recommend listening to their personal recommendations on which activities to try – they absolutely know the best local guides! The bungalows are adorable, comfortable, and affordable. We loved having our own private space with ocean access and a deck to lounge out on. There is abundant snorkeling right around the bungalow and the island you stay on. The location is perfect as it is super easy and fast to get anywhere else you need to go. The food alone is worth staying here for; every meal we had was DELICIOUS, and they were more than willing to accommodate food allergies. The only thing I regret is not making time for a massage! Do not hesitate to book this as your next place to stay.

Wow. Sol Bungalows is truly the best. Drew was extremely helpful from the moment I booked their property! When it came to just general knowledge of the area, the bungalow itself, activities, he was the best. Tamara also was wonderful!! The food was INSANELY delicious, (especially their homemade brownie made with organic chocolate!) I highly recommend staying for dinner. If our flight was able to be changed, we 100% would of extended our stay!!! Don’t look anywhere else, Sol Bungalows deserves more than 5 stars. I hope to be back one day, and for definitely longer than our original stay!!!

They deserve more than 5 stars! Cannot recommend this place enough. As everyone mentions, Drew and Tamara are incredible. They go above and beyond for you starting when you arrive on the boat. The bungalows themselves are luxurious... Both indoor and outdoor spaces definitely make you never want to leave. Plus they are stocked with everything- snorkels, noodles for floating in the ocean, ear plugs, a hammock. They thought of all the best details. Also recommend treating yourself to an in-bungalow massage! The food is delicious. 5++++ stars all around. Can't wait to come back SOON!!!!

Sol Bungalows is simply the BEST place to stay in Bocas Del Toro. As the boat approached then property, we were treated to an amazing view, two thatched roof bungalow’s with a huge decks and stairs down to the water and a two-story dock with swings downstairs and a dining area upstairs. The room was amazing, the king-sized bedroom was separated from a full sized seating area by cool, sliding barn door. Great ceiling fans, lighting and plenty of electrical outlets. Great, super clean bathroom with a huge walk-in shower with great water pressure. This place is fantastic! 8 minute boat road from Bocas Town and close to the best surf break. The hosts were awesome!! Responsive, helpful and very accommodating. Great breakfast every morning with French-pressed coffee, and for dinner the best food on the islands. And they have paddle-boards, snorkeling masks, and help arrange water taxis. We stayed 5 days and we’re sad to leave. Definitely staying here again on our next trip.

This is our favorite place we have ever stayed. The bungalows are perfect with a fridge, huge shower and a view and a deck that will make you relax more than you ever have on vacation. The food we had at Sol was not only the best we had in panama, it is some of the best food we’ve ever had, period. The hosts are amazing and could not have been more accommodating. They were friendly, talkative and quick to help with suggestions about things to do in area. We will return to Sol Bungalows every time we return to Bocas del Toro.

Sol Bungalows was everything we thought it would be and more. This was the first time my wife and I have visited Bocas Del Toro and we hope to come back. We stayed for 3 nights and traveled with friends who stayed in the other Bungalow. It was easy to remain private when we wanted, while also feeling like we had lots of space to hang together. It was like having a resort to ourselves. The staff were exceedingly hospitable, and we felt they went beyond expectations in helping make tour recommendations based on weather conditions and to arrange guides and travel for us as needed. The bungalows themselves are well made, sustainably powered, and feature lots of attention to detail. The views off the porch are spectacular as you look across the carribbean waters to gaze at the mountains of mainland Panama. Even during rainy weather it’s a treat to watch the clouds move across the mountains. Being able to snorkel and kayak or paddle board off the bungalows was a perfect way to break up lounging on the porch with a book and a drink. There was plenty to see underwater and it was fun to paddle along the island coast. We loved being able to explore Bocas, but opted to spend our last day at the Bungalows to enjoy the tranquility. We would recommend a guided hike to hospital point on Isla Solarte as it was a highlight of our trip (maybe add in a massage after the hike as it’s a wonderful experience). Overall we felt the value was unmatched compared to other options we considered for our trip, and we look forward to sharing memories and recommending that others stay at Sol Bungalows for years to come.

Had such an amazing stay at Sol Bungalows and can’t wait to return! The rooms were magnificent. So clean, with the most unreal views. The staff…. incredible. Sol Bungalows is a uniquely boutique+luxury experience! Drew and Tamara are effortlessly warm and welcoming. They've put an incredible amount of care and thought into every detail, and it shows—including in Drew's fabulous cocktails (the best drinks we had on vacation) and Tamara's gourmet recipes, cooked to 5-star perfection by the hotel chef. The location on Isla Solarte is perfect: close enough if you need to get to Isla Colon, but it feels like you're on your own paradise island (view in photo is from our bungalow). Make sure to grab a kayak or paddleboard and hit up the small beach by Isla Solarte!

The Sol Bungalows exceeded my expectations! They were conveniently located and the host was responsive and accommodating and truly made our stay memorable. We highly recommend eating dinner on site when it’s offered, the food and service was phenomenal. Drew and Tamara, the hosts, made us feel so welcomed and the bungalows were so reasonably priced for all they offered. You could also easily take the water taxis into town if you wanted to eat or over to the island to snorkel, as well as a guided jungle tour through the rain forest. 100/100 wouldn’t change a thing.

Sol Bungalows exceeded our expectations. We came to Bocas to scuba dive and relax. Drew and Tamara were the best hosts, friendly and knowledgeable. With their staff, they made the most delicious breakfasts and dinners that we rarely went anywhere else for our meals. They had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. My friends and I had an amazing time at Sol Bungalows! We rented out both bungalows so we had the place to ourselves. The owners, Drew and Tamara, are so kind, welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful. They thought of everything when building the bungalows—an outdoor shower, an umbrella for shade, snorkel gear, lots of seating areas, windows in the floor to see the water below, indoor and outdoor fans, mirrored doors for privacy during the day AND screen doors, plenty of storage space, a safe, a mini fridge… The breakfast was included and so delicious. We loved getting to choose something different almost every day— and especially loved having coffee delivered to our bungalow in the early morning! And the dinners were SO GOOD. Easily the best restaurant in Bocas—and only available for their guests so it’s super intimate. They use local foods and lots of ingredients from the farm on the property. The location is awesome. Close to downtown, but far enough away for some extra privacy and beautiful views. Drew was especially helpful in giving recommendations and coordinating tours for us so we got the best guides and prices. As someone who travels a lot, this is INVALUABLE. Bocas would have been really overwhelming without his guidance, having years of experience living in Bocas. And Tamara gives the best massages in your bungalow. It was different than any I’ve received and one of the best I’ve ever had. Overall, they really ensured we all had a great time in Bocas del Toro. I highly recommend staying here for your next vacation or getaway! Great for friends, families, and couples.

We went here for a portion of our honeymoon, and couldn't have been happier! Drew was so helpful with setting up anything we needed, and was great to have a conversation with. Tamara gives a beyond amazing massage, and is so friendly! The view from anywhere in the bungalow is like a dream. There are beautiful corals and mangroves to see when snorkeling just off of the dock , and I was able to pet a nurse shark that likes to hang out under the dock of their restaurant! The food was amazing and we had such a relaxing time, it was exactly what we needed. What a beautiful place!

I am not sure where to begin. For our honeymoon, my now husband and I were looking for an overwater bungalow that was affordable and did not take 24+ hours to get to. I stumbled across an article that featured Sol Bungalows and let me tell you, it did not disappoint!! We had the absolute best time. Drew and Tamara were gracious hosts and so hospitable. First, the bungalows were gorgeous and everything we were looking for. The pictures do not do it justice. Second, the food was beyond delicious. We honestly had no desire to go into town for dinner because the food offered was that good. The breakfast options were phenomenal. Third, service was outstanding. It was great to get to know the owners (Drew and Tamara) because they were present and were there to help with anything we wanted to do for the day. Great suggestions and we enjoyed every one of them. Their staff was great as well. There was plenty to do at the bungalow or around town. We really felt immersed in the Bocas culture. Everything was overall excellent. We are already trying to figure out when we will be back!

We had such an amazing stay at Sol Bungalows. From the moment Drew greeted us off the boat until we left we had a 5 star experience. The snorkeling right off the dock was great and having access to paddle boards to cruise around on was a bonus. I can’t say enough about the food too! It was delicious. We can’t wait to go back!

Our stay at Sol Bungalows was by far the highlight of our trip to Panama. The bungalow was beautiful, modern, and clean. The views from the bungalow were amazing (and you can swim and snorkel directly off the private dock from your bungalow!) The food was delicious, fresh, and creative. Last but definitely not least, customer service was top-notch, with our host Drew going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and more. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. We are frequent international travelers, and this was easily one of our top 3 lodging experiences of all time. Would highly recommend staying here.

I've been telling everybody that I know that they need to stay at Sol Bungalows if they go to Bocas. The bungalows are incredibly comfortable and the hosts thought of everything that might make your stay in Bocas more comfortable. Drew and Tamara are amazing people who are incredibly knowledgeable about how to navigate Bocas. Drew and Tamara did such an exceptional job on both the Bungalows and their service, I don't know if we can stay anywhere else! Next time we go to Bocas, we are staying here for sure!

WOW! Where to begin... We had the most AMAZING time at Sol Bungalows. Drew and Tamara truly have a piece of paradise and provide 5 star service. The bungalows themselves are a dream. The woodwork craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout the bungalows are incredible , while being very functional. The see thru floor in the bedroom is a super cool feature and you can watch the sunset from the amazing shower. We stayed with our two young boys and it felt like plenty of space. My wife and I would lay on the lounge chairs and count shooting stars at night. The boys jumped in the water and snorkeled right off the balcony. Bocas town is only a 5 minute boat ride away and so is everything else you would want to do in Bocas but far away from the busy party town. The food was INCREDIBLE! The breakfast menu was amazing with a lot of vegan options. The dinners were all something you would see in a gourmet restaurant , including local favorites and fresh seafood. And every meal is served on the second story deck looking over the water. We made some incredible memories here are I would recommend anyone wants a laid back vibe with 5 star service and incredible food to book it right away.

Drew, Tamara, and Sol Bungalows were incredible. They were helpful from the time of booking, sending us a welcome packed with contact information, directions, packing lists, and local information. They were actively in contact from before our arrival until our departure and helped arrange actives for us. There were free paddle boards, kayaks, and snorkeling on site and they served optional meals that were fantastic. The hosts did everything they could to ensure that we had a memorable stay. This is one of the most beautiful and unique stays and I could not recommend Sol Bungalows enough.
