Great location for live music, good food & drinks, and has a nice play area for kids to run off some energy. I wen with a friend Sunday just to catch up for a bit and ended up staying for 5 hours. The staff was super friendly & personable: excellent customer service!! The band they had playing outside (at 7pm) was exceptional and brought us some old school rhythm & blues with horns, the sax, flute, drums, keyboard and more. It was such an unexpected treat and had lots of us on the dance floor making memories. Can't wait to come back again! 💃🏽

This place is really good place to hangout and have a few drinks. Food is good for this atmosphere.

We went here for an outdoor concert…playing were 2 tribute players (Billy Joel & Elton John). Aside from the weather being a perfect 10 pre-fall…lots of fun, happy people. (Felt bad for the women, seemed to always be a long line at the bathroom for them), the musicians were excellent!

Great W at place. Came here for a Nirvana band Concert. Totally worth it. The food has some areas of improvement but all in all a good place.

Food was cold and bland in the past. Last visit they closed the kitchen a hour early without notice. Stools you have to sit on are very uncomfortable and are unable to have legs under table without hitting table supports. Acoustic are horrible in the poorly built building/lean-to. Stall are very unhelpful and seen to not care, just want the High Price entry fee..... Only went to see a very good band, will not return to this venue. Would rather travel a couple hours then be frustrated in a uncomfortable venue !

Great place to see a band! Great layout, but outside, so weather can be a factor! Saw On The Border. Didn't eat, so don't have a comment on the food.

BoatYard LKN in the Lake Norman area just minutes outside of Charlotte is a great place for the entire family to have a meal. The menu choices give everyone something to choose from. Tried the Steak Philly and the Steak Wrap and both were very flavorful with good portion size. The items came with one side. The Sweet Potato fries were nice and crispy on the outside and tender and flavorful on the inside. The fresh Hand Cut fries were the best though. The natural flavor was really perfect with the entrée. But you pick what ever you like as a side. They also have a Mac and Cheese that we'll try next time. There is a really long FULL service bar with a really cool looking old fashioned farm sink that we thought was a really cool touch. The venue has two stages for live bands and entertainment so we'll definitely have to go back for that as well. There is plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. There is a covered patio as well as open air picnic style tables. There are fans on the patio to keep the air moving and make it comfortable even on hotter days. And if you need to work off some of the calories, they have cornhole too. There is a fenced in playground for kids just steps away from the patio. There is plenty of parking near the entrance for regular operating hours and for big events, there is overflow parking like when they have live bands on the weekends. The staff knew the menu well and gave great suggestions. You order at the front and pay there as well and they'll bring your order to the table. Our food was ready in a comfortable timeframe that allowed us to sit and get comfortable just as they came to serve it.
