I've had amazing times here. Suspended bridge is a favorite of mine, especially on flooded nights. The moonlight reflecting off the water with clarity was beautiful af.
Wasn't sure who to tell. Not tryna scare anyone off, cause they won't bother you, just be careful. But there's quite a few Water Moccasins in the lake there. Specifically seemed gathered (if you go to the back end and cross the bridge in the back, turn left along the water they were near that stone you can sit if or set stuff on near the water. In the rocks on the edge of the water) we saw at least 6-8 different ones at least 50-60 times fishing there for a 2-3 hours. Hard telling how many times we saw the same ones but they were from about 6 inches up to 2 feet long. Had to be a nest up in the bank there somewhere I'd prefer they not be killed. But you gotta be let known, there's too many kids near there
This is one of my favorite places to hike. It's beautiful. They also have fishing and things for the kids to do.
Very pretty. I like the bridges and some of the old signs that tell what the trees and plants and animals are, are still there but could use updating.
So many bugs... Every where we looked there were the bugs from the photo I took. The nature trail was very muddy today. Had a good walk. There was a strange sound coming from speakers somewhere in the park.
Happy Memorial Day! Thank you to every soldier that we've lost that gave us our freedom! Without them I wouldn't had an amazing day walking the trails and taking so many pictures. I am grateful.
Amazing park! Classic playground feel with jungle gyms and basketball courts, baseball fields, etc...with beautiful trails running through a nice, thick treetop canopy atop a modern suspension style bridge to keep you up comfortably and completely out of the mud & muck, as it does tend to get flooded in some parts of the Forrest when the creek is high. (I personally LOVE when that happens! It's transformed into something reminiscent of a mini rainforest; it's magical! 🏞️🌳✨
Went for kite flying show and cricket tournament organised by Gujrati Samaj of Tristate. Well planned, Food was by Sankalap Louiseville. Few more stalls. Investment, banking, Indian attire, face painting etc.
