It was the most amazing day! I've already checked on the wedding venue aspect of it. It is more than worth the admission fee or a drive!
Really hot day so didn't spend as much time as we would have liked to but was impressed by what we did see. Only $8 donation per person to walk the park.
Went today for the first time after having it saved for years on maps. It was well kept grounds, perfect weather today to tour the grounds. We enjoyed the beautiful flowers, trees, and landscaping. The fountains were also beautiful and peaceful. The place provided lots of seating and benches to relax along the way or enjoy the scenery. We paid $8 per adult to get in. Anyone who lives in the area should at least visit once.
Nice combo of plants, flowers and some sculptures. Very well kept. Last time we went was free but they have since acquired a historical house and expanded so there is a fee to get in but worth it. They also have a kids playhouse area that my nephews enjoyed. Only thing, I wish they’d clean up the lake and highlight the water more. So much potential there. Lots of places to sit and enjoy.
First time at botanical garden and enjoyed it. Just wished the maps/brochure and donation box was relocated from old entrance to new one. We did not find brochures until the end of our trip through garden. Easy walking paths throughout and benches available for those that need them or would just like to sit and enjoy the view.
There is much to see and enjoy in these gardens. We were impressed by the daylily garden that had myriads of flowers, with not one dead one visible. It takes a lot of work to remove all the previous blooms from that many plants. We also enjoyed the little greenhouse with orchids and other exotic plants. The lady working in the house that admitted us was awfully talkative. We wish she had started us out at the beginning of the path, rather than walking us through the building and just pointing straight ahead. We couldn't make sense of the map until we eventually reached the spot where the entrance used to be and they had signs to point where things are.
A hidden gem located around an historic mansion. Great place for special events like bridal showers and weddings as was happening on the day we stopped for our first visit. We were greeted by a very friendly volunteer and enjoyed a beautiful walk in the gardens. What delightful place with many exhibits.
There was a yearly spring Market, where farmers have brought their speciality products and herb plants, decorative plants etc. Some stalls had art and craft products too.
