We’ll we didn’t even get to stay in our room. After explaining to multiple employees that we wouldn’t be there till late our key wasn’t where they said it would be. They called the next morning and apologized saying something happened and someone accidentally brought the key home. Not a big deal. Things happen. But then I had to book another hotel for double what I was going to pay here. So I asked if there was anyway to compromise. The one lady told me that wouldn’t be a problem. They would leave a check in our room or refund my card. I get back to the room. No check, and no refund on my card. Instead they assumed we would stay there for the night that I already booked and tried charging me AGAIN. This night had already been paid for. And before they went into our room to see if we were staying they booked the room out THAT I ALREADY PAID FOR! Not happy at all. This ruined our entire trip as every other hotel is fully booked or almost triple the price.

I usually read the reviews before picking a place to stay, but liked the idea of having a place on sight to clean our catches (fish). I should have just stuck with the reviews and decided to move on with another hotel. The rooms being outdated I can handle. But the shower handle was so hard to turn on and off that only my fiance could do it. There was room service only one time during the week, and since we were asleep, no trash removal or extra towels were provided. Next, we have an oversized truck. They would park trucks and boats to the side so we could not swing around and back up to our room (see attached of an example-way more trucks and boats were there by night side by side). So we had to park side ways and were yelled at for it even though we couldn't do anything about it. Then we had 2 boys with us who were excited and giggly to be on vacation. One night 2 very big men came down from 2 doors down and tried to fight my fiance cause of the boys laughing! It's definitely not family friendly as they kept staring down my boys while they were playing! The "private beach" isn't really a beach at all, just a spot they carved down to so you could get to Lake Erie and the pool fits 1 family. I was willing to give it a 3 until the fight almost happened, having no room service for a week, no one in the afternoon in the office to help and being blocked in by the trucks and boats. Don't go unless you don't have kids and just want to fish!

We had a family reunion there. Nice place, we were able to have a nice cookout under the Pavillion. The rooms were decent. All clean, but the 1br cabins are very small and not right on the water as I thought. And the steps up were too high for me, but they moved us to a different room that was better. Nice people, cleaning people were very nice. The 2br suite my sister had was large. Very nice setup. We had a great time.

We stayed here 2 years in a row for the NHRA races in Norwalk. Close to the track. Has a small beach. Rooms are fair in size, clean but not spotless. Could use some updates, but it serves our purpose of a place to sleep. Pretty quiet place.

Great Family run business. Comfortable, relaxing, beautiful grounds. Check out their website to see a virtual tour.

Cute little motel rooms are small but clean. Its about a 20 minute drive to cedar point kind of off the beaten path. The owners. However are great. Super nice people very friendly and accommodating. I did feel the room was a little overpriced for the size but that is pretty much any hotel in that area. If you want a stay in a quieter area this is a good option. They also have the option for 3 beds which is hard to find there.

A charming throwback to old motor court motels from the 40’s and 50’s - and includes individual cottages, a pool, shaded lawns, and a small cove on Lake Erie (Great for our [leashed] Labrador Retriever). Caters to fishing people as well. Not a spit & polished, sterile corporate-type chain. Do NOT stay here if you can’t be flexible with the rustic charm of an older motel. Hope this bit of Sweden (!!) stays in business for years to come. Staff was friendly & professional (!!!).

We stayed at this motel for 8 days. 2 in a single room cottage, which was very nice, but small. We moved to a cottage that had a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and Livingroom. It was closer to the Lake and the wind and breeze from the Lake was wonderful. We enjoyed our stay, the staff were great and the owner super nice. Quiet and relaxing. Restaurant's are close in Huron. Berardi's is great and we had the lake Erie perch and Walleye, Very good. Thank you! M. Mayer/G. Lund

My biggest issue with the place was the owner. I called the day before our stay to verify the rooms had microwaves and fridge. Th lady that answered the phone stated they did. Upon arrival we checked in and the room did not have a microwave. When I asked about this the owner stated "No one here would have told you the room had a microwave" This could have been an easy fix on the owners part, but he insisted on watching our family on a camera in the pool area. He then came into the pool area and asked if our dog was in a cage in the room (One service dog and one pet.) Needles to say after he continued to make our family feel like we were a problem we checked out and went to a different hotel. The owner may want to let his employees deal with customers, as he came off as rude to his employee as well who seemed fearful of this guy. He did refund us just under $250 so we could stay elsewhere.

I received a call because I was arriving late I received a call asking what time I would arrive and if I wanted the card on file to be charged I said yes and that was the end of the call. Upon arrival 7pm the office was already locked but my room key with my name was hanging on the door. No problem. I rented the single room cottage. I had an issue with the lock but figured it out. To lock the door, you lock the door first then shut it. And figuring out the shades you had to push up. I didn’t use the t.v so I couldn’t tell you about that. There’s a mini fridge but the top part with the freezer didn’t work. A mini microwave would be a nice suggestion. The bed was ok I slept decent. Bathroom no issues. Although I do recommend your own towels. The bath towels are tiny but they do work. I did question house keeping because there was hair in there and it just didn’t smell clean I’d suggest maybe some plug ins or something. There’s a fire pit with free wood down by the beach. I went down there at night I don’t know if you can swim in that little area but it’s definitely beautiful down there you can see cedar point lit up at night. It was quite and I had no issues. Good location 15 minutes either direction from some good beaches. Stores. Restaurants ect. If I’m back in the location I would definitely book this place again.

Loved the little bungalow and it's on Lake Erie. Nice private pool area.
