What a gem! Stopped in Parkersburg on a road trip and decided, after reading other reviews, to eat dinner here, rather than one of the many chains. I'm so glad we did. The smell of the different spices and meats all swirling together when you walk in is incredible. The young woman who took our order was very friendly and as she could tell it was our first visit here, made recommendations which we selected for our meal. The service was spot on and we didn't wait long for our food, which was truly so delicious. The owners came around to ask us if we were enjoying our meal and also provided us with dessert; be sure you save room for the cream cheese baklava as it's DIVINE. If only this restaurant was back home in Cleveland. The food, the prices, and the friendliness and kindness of the staff make this a not-to-be missed restaurant.

Great people, great food, great service. Hummus was even good and I'm not a fan. The lamb was the best part of the meal. I recommend trying the lamb shish k Bob when you go.

Tucked away on a quiet business street in Parkersburg, West Virginia is Chams Lebanese Restaurant. The dining area is simple and large, with scenes from Lebanon hung on the walls. The atmosphere here is intimate and romantic. The owners Rick and Chams greeted us warmly. Chams is a very attentive and helpful server who made good food suggestions  which turned out to be perfect for my husband and I to share. We ordered and shared the Vegetarian Stew with zucchini, eggplant and chickpeas over rice and the Vegetarian Special, which included stuffed grape leaves and a spinach fatayer with two large dollops of fresh hummus along with a Greek salad with chicken chunks,( the pieces of chicken were especially well  spiced and tasty.) All  of this with a glass of robust Lebanese wine. We took away some of the finest baklava I have ever tasted. The whole meal was a delicious feast.

Place is awesone and if you are a regular the owners geet you as such. Ate lunch and ordered the special. Not sure what any of it was but the grape leaves but it was good.

How do I even begin... the atmosphere is very calm and welcoming. Our server, besides being ungodly beautiful was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. The food, oh my the food! There isn't a Lebanese restaurant that compares to the quality of the food and I travel the country for work so I've tried hundreds of Lebanese restaurants. The owner made sure we were 100% satisfied with our food and while paying our check gave us some very tasty free baklava. I HIGHLY suggest visiting this amazing restaurant!!

I got the vegetarian special and a strawberry smoothie. My smoothie was delicious and made with real strawberries. I really enjoyed my grape leaves but the whole meal was delicious and reasonably priced. They sell baked goods as well as offer sit down meals. They also do to go orders. The staff was friendly and the bathrooms were clean. Limited parking.

As soon as we opened the door the aroma told us it was going to be delicious, and it was. The portions were generous and the hospitality was maybe the best I have ever had at a restaurant. Great Mediterranean food! We loved the vegetable soup, the shish-ka-bob wrapped in pita, and the shish taouk. The lamb was delicious!

Visiting from Knoxville TN. Nice family owned restaurant. Food was good and portion sizes were big enough, my favorite was the Tabouli salad. Good service as well.

Excellent Lebanese cuisine. Chams is the French first name of the Lady co-owner with her husband. Everything is made from scratch. Hummus is especially delicious. The daily specials are an excellent choice. Good homemade traditional Lebanese cuisine. Personal attention by the family owners welcoming everyone with friendly, polite and dignified service. No hamburger or French Fries here. Many awards hanging on the walls. In business for 17 years surviving the pandemic lean times.

Best Mediterranean food I've ever had! Their hummus, toubouli and falafel are the best! The coconut cake is also great and not too sweet.

Hands down the best restaurant in downtown Parkersburg! Every item on the menu is prepared from scratch and made with healthy ingredients! Chams and Rick are very welcoming and the atmosphere is very warm and friendly! If you’ve never tried Lebanese cuisine I would suggest Chams Platter which has a little bit of everything! Don’t forget the baklava because after you have Chams baklava you’ll be back again and again! Five big huge stars for this gem in downtown!

Took a physician to this restaurant who was Lebanese. Her exact words, "This is AUTHENTIC Lebanese food!" It took her back to her home and family in Lebanon. The staff is wonderful and the food is amazing! Great place to eat and chat!

I got a pita Shish wrap sandwich for $9, which hardly could find tiny pieces of meat in. The total weight of the sandwich was less than a small Mac burger!! Don't waste your money in this restaurant.

The wine, salads, and entrees were delicious. We carried our dessert out and, oh my!, it was amazingly delicious!!! Our server was spot on and very friendly. She was excited to hear that we were first time visitors to West Virginia and checking our 48th state off of the bucket list.

I recently had the pleasure of trying out the Lebanese cuisine at this restaurant, and I must say that the flavors and authenticity are truly top-notch. The menu offers a unique selection of dishes that are a delightful treat for the taste buds. The quality of the food alone makes this place stand out in my books. However, I wanted to share an experience that left a bit of a sour note during my visit. On one occasion, I arrived about 20 minutes before the closing time. I had heard great things about the baklava dessert, which I was eager to try. To my surprise, when I approached the counter to place my order, the person working there seemed rather frustrated and berated me slightly, saying, "You know we're closing soon." I understand that working long hours can be tiring, but I believe that good customer service should extend until the very end of business hours. As someone who works in customer service myself, I always welcome customers with a smile, even if they come in close to closing time. I know I'm being oversensitive but at my store I genuinely enjoy assisting customers and ensuring they have a positive experience even if they come near closing. My only gripe with my visit was this interaction at the counter. It left me slightly taken aback and affected the overall impression I had of the place. I firmly believe that exceptional food should be complemented by exceptional service, regardless of the time. In the end, I rate this restaurant 3 stars due to the fantastic food and the desire for a more customer-friendly approach, even during the final moments of operation. I hope that my feedback is taken constructively, as I genuinely enjoyed the culinary experience your restaurant offers.

Good for lunch. The portions are certainly not large enough for dinner. No beer here, only wine. I ordered a salad which came with way too much bread and a lamb wrap (more bread). The lamb nuggets (they called them medallions) were small. The best thing I had there was the cheese baklava.

It’s been a week, and I’m still thinking about this place. I stopped through on my way home to Huntington. Everything was delicious, and the staff were kind and attentive. I look forward to my next trip through.

The kabobs were amazing and the hummus is homemade and so creamy and delicious. Top it off with their tasty baklava. I will be back when I return to Parkersburg

Had my first experience in Lebanese cuisine at Chams today. All of the food was excellent and came out exactly as ordered. Our server was so kind and took her time to explain the different dishes and how they are made and how to eat them. I ordered the Chams Special and was able to try a variety of different foods they serve with this meal. The baklava was delicious as well. We will definitely be returning, especially have to get some more of their fantastic stuffed grape leaves.

Recommended by a local we stop to ask while traveling to visit moms both places. Had to wait to be seated the place is very popular. Arrived just before a lunch time and the line was consistent. Good selection is food. Falafel, lamb, beef or chicken options. Everything made to order so bring a conversation with you. I had falafel that included a salad. Mom ordered a salad, hers was too small for a meal, more like a side salad. We ordered a second salad to keep us full as we had a long full day of driving.

This is BY FAR, THE BEST LEBANESE FOOD we've had, period, end of story. It's so FRESH, I felt alive when I had it for the first time with my husband. You will not find this kind of food anywhere else. We are going to be long time customers. Cham and her husband are the sweetest people, just a wonderful experience <3
