This restaurant was everything I was hoping for and more! The style is perfect for trying a variety of world class dishes. Everything came out two plates at a time and it was so much fun to share dishes with my partner and talk about how amazing and thoughtful each bite was. I wish a could pick a favorite but they were all so good. The staff was exceptional as well l! I will be back soon that's for sure keep up the amazing work!!!

I don’t usually leave negative reviews. What make me think I should review this restaurant is because of the quality of service, the food, the drinks, and finally the bill doesn’t make sense to me. Starting from the hostess, we walked in, there’s already a group of people waiting and seems to have been waiting for a while. Many staff saw us standing at the door and no one seems to care. The hostess finally came after chatting with her colleague for a while. The server introduced the menu as traditional tapas (which it’s definitely not). While I don’t mind casual service, for the price I at least hope service would be professional (which it’s definitely not). The only tasty food on the table was the blue cheese, which I think was from a separate local vendor.

One word - WOW. Now, I understand why Mita's has a James Beard nomination for Outstanding Restaurant of 2023. Took my son here to celebrate him becoming a senior in high school, and we tried many dishes. It was one hit after another! We really like this tapas-style menu as we are people who like to try many things, so this was perfect for us. But they do have the larger format plates. Would love to try the paella sometime. We started with a special that one of the chefs told us about - the hamachi tartare. YUM! It just tasted so fresh and clean. Then, we had the pimientos pequillo rellenos - those were fabulous, especially that sherry gastrique (which my son now wants to try doing at home). Next, we had the tostones y guacamole - better than the tostones we had in Puerto Rico! The guac is super silky, creamy, too. Yum! We also had the espárragos y manchego, bocadillos de hamburguesa (which, wow, how do you cook sliders to this perfection??), pupusa de chorizo y curtido, empanadas de res con pique, and patatas bravas. For dessert, it was the pastel de tres leches. Oh, and we got some plantain chips along the way that were to die for - just give me some wine and a big bowl of those! Our service was also EXCELLENT! Our server was very knowledgeable about the dishes and preparations and very attentive. Everything came out at the right temperature. It's a very open restaurant - well decorated, clean bathrooms. I like that you can see right into the kitchen. The sound level is good - never felt like I couldn't hear my son or had to talk loudly. And with the walls of glass, it's got great light (especially for taking photos of all of your food, like we do, lol!!). Needless to say, we WILL be back - and will probably order the pupusa de chorizo y curtido, pimientos pequillo rellenos, patatas bravas, and pastel de tres leches again. My kid talked about the tres leches all the way home! I am looking forward to trying several other dishes on our next visit - reservation already booked!

Mita's does not disappoint. The interior design is beautiful and welcoming. We split 6 small plates for the two of us and got a few glasses of wine. The Pulpo was the star dish, but everything we had popped. I would come back to try more of the menu.

My baby girls birthday eve and she wanted to have a sit down adult dinner. She is busy and a single mom and this was her priority. Booked a table for 4 for 5.30 pm We arrived in time and a friend joined us in 15 minutes This is an upscale Tapas place and absolutely delicious 🤤 Monday eve was not busy at 5.30pm but when we left at 7pm their place was full 😀 I have reviewed this place before but I come back with very high reviews in 2023. Thank you Jose Salazar for your contribution to the restaurants in Cincinnati ❤️🙏🏽😊

This place has an absolutely lovely atmosphere and food. The portions are great for sharing between two people. We got three plates to share and it completely satisfied us. Veggie taco, ceviche, and the mango vinaigrette salad all a wonderful explosion to our taste buds.

A well deserved 5 Stars. Well staffed at all levels, prompt service yet they would all take a moment to ask how you are doing or how you like the food. Elegant and open atmosphere. Clean, private restrooms with hand towels (research air dryer sanitation if unfamiliar - any legitimate operation will have hand towels). I had the honor of being their first Cincinnati Restaurant Week meal. One of the cooks checked in with me after each course. It was wonderful sharing our passion for culinary creativity. Each course was perfectly prepared, using a variety of ingredients assembled to create a unique experience course by course. Mita’s was everything a restaurant should be and more. A big thank you to their entire team!

SO GOOD!!!! Everything we had was amazing...well...other than a couple of dishes, but that was just my personal taste. The beauty of tapas is that you get to sample a ton of different plates, hence all the pictures. The tres leches for dessert was AMAZING! Very cool restaurant.

I assume the food served in Mita’a is Latin America-Spanish fusion. Dishes were all very tasty, although definitely with a North-American twist to it - which is positive (=tasty) but also a negative (=unnecessarily greasy and stuffed). Their take on the Dulce tres leches —> absolutely worth trying. Service was friendly, yet the final bill came higher than expected.

Mita’s is a great restaurant with Spanish/Latin American foods with great flavor! My fave was the ceviche with the catch of the day which was quite good and served with plantain chips. Margaritas here are simple but delicious! The seafood pozole verde and paella are solid as well. Highly recommend! Also if you’re a credit card points hunter, they partner with Milage Plus (United miles) and Upside (cash back) so you can get triple the points for a single visit! 👏

This is small plates style, and I love trying different dishes. My partner is vegetarian and this is a great date night restaurant for us. I could probably just eat the tostones and guac all night - it’s delicious. She also likes the mango salad. I like getting the ceviche dishes in addition to the vegetarian dishes. Nice romantic atmosphere, and not too loud. Service is excellent.

Such delicious food! The ambiance is incredible. Our server was super nice, and very attentive. If you’re traveling to Cincinnati for work/fun you should definitely make a reservation for a night at Mitas!!

Finally got in here after months of trying. Very good. Small plates but be careful not to over order. Dishes were well spaced; we never waited too long but weren't flooded with food. I'm sensitive to spicy food and our server did an excellent job of guiding me through dishes and removing ingredients. Don't sleep on this place- we'll definitely return.

Me and my wife wanted to try something different. The interior is great. Our server was great. I also appreciated the “sharing” aspect of the restaurant. The food was good. It peaked my interest enough to go back and try something new again.

Dining experience was excellent. The food was excellent; we tried a variety of dishes. The highlight was the Paella Valenciana - incredible dish! The atmosphere is very calm and the service is quite polished. We had no problem eating, drinking, and enjoying one another’s company at this amazing dining experience!

This is my favorite restaurant in Cincinnati. We always go for special occasions, 3-5 times a year. Mita’s ALWAYS delivers spectacular food, drink, atmosphere, and service. The menu at Mita’s is updated seasonally, so there’s always something new for us to try. And their signature options are beyond great! The food is fresh, expertly seasoned and cooked, and beautifully presented. Our staples here are: shishito peppers, watermelon gazpacho (summer), pulpo, and lamb croquettes. The atmosphere is inviting, background music is lively and never too loud, and the distance between tables is perfect for intimate conversation. The service is always on point here, as well. The staff is friendly, attentive, responsive, and knowledgeable about what’s in the food and how the various wines taste. Every time I ask for a recommendation on drinks, and ask them to choose for me, their suggestions are always superb. I can’t recommend this place enough. If you know how to savor food and appreciate culinary excellence, then Mita’s is perfect for you.

Have always had a great dining experience at this restaurant. Enjoyed a lovely evening with a friend. Great tapas. Easy sharing dishes if you wish.

We have never had a bad experience here. The food is consistently top notch, great drinks and really good service. The taste, ambiance and service totally justify the price. The ceviche and shishitos are always divine, and all the shareables are awesome. One of our favorites.

We've gone here several years now for birthdays and anniversaries. The food is always fantastic. The tapas gives you lots of variety and it is all very good. Maybe a little salty at times but so tasty. We typically order 5 items for the two of us and that is probably 1 too many. The staff is very friendly and very accommodating. The atmosphere is great. It feels fancy and intimate but not dark and heavy. We love it here.

The food was absolutely divine!!This was a very unique menu of tapas-shareable size dishes for those who don't know. The atmosphere The drinks the breadboard omg. Also A big thank you to our absolutely wonderful and attentive server cane you made excellent recommendations and made this experience that much better. In my opinion I don't know why this doesn't have at least 1 star its deserving of so much more. If in the Cincinnati area please try this place.

We really thought we would like this restaurant. The inside was beautiful and the food was good but it lacked something. I didn’t feel welcomed or that I was appreciated for my business. I felt like our server wasn’t attentive and when we were seated by the host, she seemed like she was too good to seat us. We have been to superb restaurants in this country and world, we were not impressed by Mita’s.
