We had an awesome time. There was a group of 8 of us in town for a conference for work and thought we’d try our hand at axe throwing. Jessica was awesome!!! She was great with instructions and made the entire evening a complete blast! I highly recommend this night out to anyone looking for a different activity that brings ton of fun and laughs!!

It was our first time axe Throwing but definitely won't be the last. This place is easy to find, has quite a bit of room for being downtown. The guide was experienced and helpful. They offer drinks (alcohol and non). It was definitely something different and fun and we'll be back!

What a fun place! The person who was there showed us how to throw and gave us advice on how to do better. We really had a great time and felt the price was worth the fun. The only issue I had was with the QR code. When I was signing the waiver another site popped up asking for my credit card. It had nothing to do with the axe throwing place and was confusing. This didn't happen to my friend, though. This is a wonderful place to go for a different type of fun!

We made a reservation for my birthday. Our coach was amazing she provided us with detailed instructions and also gave us some great examples on how to hold and throw our axe. The atmosphere was awesome. We had a really wonderful time we will definitely be returning.

We showed up not knowing exactly what to expect. None of us had thrown axes before. We knew we could expect about 90 minutes and we had an instructor. Honestly, I figured it would be 45 minutes of struggling through safety and showing us complicated technique. Instead, John explained things thoroughly but quickly. He showed us a simple technique and we started chucking axes. He read the room well. He played music we liked. He made terrible yet amazing axe puns. He showed us truck shots. It was an amazing experience and I will definitely plan more events around it. It was so much more fun than I expected it to be.

We had a wonderful time. It was our first experience and Avery was wonderful. She taught us how to safely throw the axe and even taught us a game to play. Thanks for making this a memorable experience!

Such a great time at Bad Axe throwing. Helpful Coach, Mack, made sure that we knew what we were doing so that everyone could enjoy the throwing experience. Definitely recommend for a small group activity!

Great experience! John was great! It was fun, the atmosphere was lively, and everyone was friendly. It was like a family of axe throwing Vikings. If you’re looking to do axe throwing in Indy, this is the place to go. It almost felt like you were just in your backyard with a group of friends. #BabyViking

We had a blast! My husband and I went yesterday as walk ins and everyone was extremely nice! The atmosphere was great and the instructor was amazing. He went over everything in detail and answered all of our questions. 10/10 will definitely go back! It’s all very wheelchair friendly as well!!

We were a group of 6 walk-in on Saturday around 4pm. They weren’t too busy, we got our demo and went straight to a lane. There were 3 smaller sized lanes in the front and 2 larger sized lanes in the back with more room and seats. Enjoyed going to the back side with more room. We threw axes for about an hour, it was most of our first times and we had a blast! There was a white board to keep score with a picture of how to score. Totally going back. Parking is rough downtown, there is scarce paid street parking and 2 lots that cost $20. My only upset was they were out of water due to FFA the previous week, should have brought my own.

Attention, Black people! You have GOT to try axe throwing. I surprised my husband on his birthday by inviting all of his best friends and reserving a private party at Bad Axe Throwing. We have had such a good time!! DeJon was our coach and he was phenomenal--personable, helpful, a great coach, and a fabulous bartender and DJ all wrapped into one little Black package. Try it out, and ask for DeJon, and get ready to have the most fun you never knew you could have.

Super fun. Our coach, De’jon was absolutely hilarious and gave us great tips. All the other staff was awesome too. But 100% recommend for any group events for sure!

My wife gave me a gift card for my birthday so we went yesterday when they opened which was perfect because we were the only ones there. The instructor was kind and thorough about how to throw the axe because it was our first time and we had a blast. We’ll definitely come back.

Fun for our family and friends! Ages 9 to 50. Our group of 5 walked in Sunday and had quick lessons and were instantly having fun. Great day of affordable fun.

Went in as a walk in around 10:30pm on 12/2/23 for a date, there were about 6 people in attendance. I walked up to the window, stood there as the employee was doing inventory. After about 3 minutes I seen the waiver sign, I completed that. Then stood there another 5 minutes. Between this time I asked a player if I’m suppose to see the man behind the counter, she replied yes. The whole time me and my girlfriend stood there, the employee never said a word to me or even looked at me once. He just kept doing his drink inventory so I left. It was my first time in there.

Had such a good time here on a date with my boyfriend! The demo was quick and easy to follow and the trick shots were fun to learn too! I’d definitely recommend to anyone looking for a unique date night or a creative way to blow off some steam!

"It's just throwing an axe." Yes, but the experience was awesome. I had a few practice throws before we got competitive with my group and couldn't get a stick. I'm thinking, this is not going to be fun. Then it stuck, then I did it again and I had so much joy from it. The instructions were great, the staff friendly and accommodating and the drink options were a nice bonus. Would recommend for a small group outing any day of the week!

Our group had a blast at the downtown Indy spot. Our instructor was super helpful and gave great demos. My only issue was that the location is narrow so there is not a lot of space for a big group, we were 9. It was also hard cause the group next to us was also large (6-8). I was also thrown off by the lack of a walking lane behind folks throwing. Overall such a fun night and so much easier than I thought, I stuck the big competition axe 🪓

My first time throwing an axe in this type of setting. So much fun. The price was very reasonable. Our instructor, John was very informative and had a great sense of humor. He made our experience worth the trip.

Great time! Wonderful experience! We were greeted with a friendly outgoing staff. Checked on us, made sure we were doing okay. Gave me pointers! It wasn't anything like I would have expected. We definitely plan on going again.

Went to Bad Axe with my work team on Nov. 8. It was terrific from start to finish. We were all new to throwing, so I think most of us had some nerves going into it. But our coach, Max, was great and set the tone from the beginning -- he created a fun, no pressure atmosphere immediately. After a few minutes of practice, he divided us into teams, and we played games to see which team hit a certain number of points first, or hit certain spots on the target. Most of us ended up hitting a bullseye at some point, which was as thrilling as it sounds (even me, and I was by far the worst thrower.) One more note -- I couldn't find my receipt the next day, so I emailed Bad Axe asking if they could provide another copy. Their response was fantastic: They were super helpful and the got me a copy right away. I really felt they wanted to do a good job and make me happy, and they did. Anyway, go throw some axes at Bad Axe --- it's a blast! Great experience all around.

My brother, my son, and myself were walk ins and it was the best experience ever! I love how there wasn't a minimum age to participate (sometimes kids under 18 get excluded from things) and our two lady coaches were funny, kind, and extremely helpful! This was a perfect self-esteem boost for my teenage son and a great sibling competition between my brother and I. I would highly recommend this to anyone, even if you have no idea how to throw an axe. Thank you!!!

I've been wanting to try axe throwing for awhile now so I'm glad my husband and I gave this place a try. We did a walk in and had a 45 min wait, which was fine with us. We were able to watch others. Our coach was pixie... she is awesome. Great music playing. All in all my husband and I had fun. Next time we come back to Indy, we will bring others with us.

We stopped for bad axe as part of a bachelor party. It was the best part of the night. The host was very accommodating and helpful. Would highly recommend it.
