Halifax Deltona if I could give zero stars I would. My mom was taken to the hospital and was there for 2 weeks. Many problems at this hospital. 1. Security people are rude! 2. Nurses do not have answers for anything if you ask, they always say I don't know or that's not my department. 3. My mom went in for surgery (30-minute procedure) at 1:00 the first update we got was at 3:30. Every time we asked the nurses said we don't know anything. I spoke to the lead nurse and admin and let them know how unhappy I was with this. I then asked for their names and was never given their information. 4. My mom's sheets had blood on them for 4 days straight the sheets were never changed I took them off the bed myself so they would put new ones on. 5. Her room was never cleaned I finally asked if the floors could be swept because there was so much junk on them. 6. When it came to discharge, they had not set up her outpatient dialysis like they said they would my dad called and set this up. The two positives at this hospital were the cafeteria staff they were amazing at getting my mom the correct foods she needed for her diet and feeding my dad each day. The other would be the dialysis nurses, they were amazing and gave us great information each day they took her. My mom was told her kidneys had gone to stage 5 kidney disease, the next step was a surgery for a port and then starting dialysis. During this time, you would think that the hospital and staff would be very kind and understanding to my family and that was not the case. Do Better Halifax this was a horrible experience!

I have been a couple of times at this Hospital due to Stroke events. All the time and services professional outstanding, compassion and listen, clean from the areas, rooms and the staff, Doctors, Nurses, cleaning people, serving people. Compare with others in Orlando I was before this is a Royal Palace. God bless the Hospital and Staff.

They are a horrible hospital to go to. DO NOT GO THERE. I would rather die on the side of the road than go to Halifax. I got in an accident they ignored my injuries and my sister having a seizure. The staff is very rude and unprofessional. They made fun of my sisters seizures and then proceeded to be rude when she ask how to get out. We stated that I was the ONLY and PRIMARY contact for my sister and they still contacted other family putting us in danger while getting checked out. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL! They are not worth the trip better to run to ADVENTHEALTH before I go here! I would RATE THIS ZERO but it ain’t letting me! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this hospital TO A FLY!

If I could give 0 stars I would!! In September 2021 my husband went to the Emergency Department for severe back and rib pain. They only did a chest X-ray. He asked the doctor if there was any fractures. The doctor responded with “No, I just wanted to make sure you didn’t have cancer.” The doctor gave him a prescription for pain meds and sent him on his way. Fast forward 5 days later, he lost all functionality of his lower extremities and is transported from home to a different hospital. Found out he had an infection in the spine. This was determined from a blood panel and imaging. After getting an attorney and records, the hospital falsified blood work that was never done. If you try to sue them, no attorney will do a thing. Why because it’s not a quick buck for them!! Go somewhere else!!

Terrible customer service, very rude. There’s nobody here they put you back in a room and sit out at the station and eat and chitchat. There was two patients in the emergency room, and I literally sit back here for two hours and nobody even came to check on me.. don’t waste your gas by coming here. These people have no clue what they’re doing. This hospital will not stay in business long.

As a new person to an area, it can be stressful leaving the known behind for the unknown. Thankfully, the staff at the Primary Care office treated me well. From the first phone call, communication was good. Follow up was done in a timely manner. As a new patient I was advised to come in early for paperwork. And there was paperwork. But thankfully that part is behind me. I was seen on time and the nurse went over my information. We wrapped up about 20 minutes later. Shortly after she left, my new doctor arrived. Nally Calzado Ricketts, MD was personable and made me feel at ease. As we went over my chart, I could tell she was listening to me. All in all, I think I made the right choice by choosing Dr. Nally Calzado Ricketts as my primary care doctor.

The Supposed professionals there are rude and act like you're interrupting their pow wows at the desk. One particular nurse that "helped" me was judgmental. Not to mention a Dr. there didn't even remember what he had prescribed me. Pretty pathetic situation over there, not sure how they stay open. The fact they are never busy speaks volumes.

I'm sooooo blessed to have found Dr Arellano and his staff, to help me reach my dream of a healthier me, after trying everything else. Dr. Arellano did an excellent job with my procedure to the point that in less than 24hrs after my surgery I was walking around the block of my house with my dogs. Faith has taught me about nutrition and answered questions before and after my procedure to help achieve my goals but mainly to do it in a healthy way. The staff at the office has been always professional and kind and I could not be happier thus far with the treatment I've received in Dr. Arellano's office as well as with his surgical staff at the hospital. For anyone like me who has tried everything to be healthier and it has not worked and is in search of a great bariatric surgeon. I recommend Halifax Health UFHealth and Dr. Arellano hands down as your best option. Thank you, thank you, thank you for giving me a second chance at a complete healthier life!

My father just passed away from brain cancer. I can't tell you enough how warm and helpful the team was. The support and love they have shown and the respect they let my father have before he went to see the Lord. I would recommend anyone to bring their dieing loved ones there. You know they are in the best care.

I went to EI Halifax hospital today. The service was excellent. The crew made me feel comfortable. They took care of all my needs Danielle. The tat was very attentive, bringing me blankets when I was cold. She explain to me what she was doing at all times, Amber and Robert, the nurses were very attentive, asking me questions and reassuring me about what they were doing Dr Vale was excellent good bedside manner he asked me quite a few questions. He came to a conclusion of what he thought I had. He just needed to do this procedure he did and his conclusion was correct. I am so glad that I went to ER Halifax hospital great crew good service

This review is long in coming only because I was hospitalized in August. I have congestive heart disease and because I can be a grumpy old man of 60, I Waited to long to go the emergency room. A ambulance was needed to transport me to Halifax hospital in Deltona . Upon my arrival in the ICU Dr. Cartagena told me what was going on and explained my condition and what she was going to do for treatment. The difference was she may sure I understood everything of what was going to be done. I have been in three different hospitals multiple time. But what I witnessed in the ICU was very impressive . The way the worked together, if one nurse or tech got busy another one would help. The camaraderie of that department and there care for patients was outstanding. So I want to give a big shout out to the following people from ICU. Charlena, Tatum, Melissa, Lovrdes , Antoinette, Jonathan, Keisla, Gina, I also have to acknowledge a few more people. Everyday I had a issue with my meals. I am 210 pound individual so a scoop of eggs and a slice of toast with coffee that I don't drink did not cut it. When I was transfer to the 5th floor I met Micky from Dietary. Instead of saying what she could not do, she said let see what we can do. Then Cheri the supervisor got involved and had the dietitian tweak my program and then I was able to eat well. Antoinette was my first nurse and my last. I at this point had now been coop up in the hospital for almost a week . on Friday being a type A personality I was going stir crazy. So my apologies to the following people on the 5th floor. Antoinette ,Steve ,Tara., Dawn and Ismari. Because I could not control anything when they did not come up to take my breakfast order for the next day .I got enrage and indignant for how dare they not come take my order. I stay up all night bitching and complaining to those individuals I mentioned. Not once did any of them break there professionalism ,they are a great crew. The next morning Saturday. Jim The cook brought me up my meal and it was exactly what I would order. All that complaining was for nothing. He also told me what his best meals were .I must say my last two meals was outstanding. If I ever need to come to the hospital again I will be a perfect gentleman because your crew handle everything . It was me who was in the wrong. A few more shout out to Ron from respiratory who help me out because I use a CPAP machine. Very professional and friendly. Becky my case manager went over everything with me . Monica from physical therapy. She was great and took the time to set me up a home visit. I guess the company Halifax uses for home patients PT drop the ball and I received nothing for physical therapy. Other than that everything was great. Halifax hospital of Deltona you and your staff gets 5 stars From me .Great Job and Thank you

I was very pleased with care received at Halifax/UF Medical Center of Deltona in the ER. I had an irregular heartbeat and my iwatch & iphone were warning me of atrial fibrillation. Within 15 minutes or less the ER team were running an EKG upon my arrival. Treatment begin to stabilize my heart and treatment was thoroughly explained which was appreciated because AFib is new for me. The ER Dr. was Stephen Viel, ER nurse Robert are the names I recall, kudos to the entire team. I was admitted to the hospital for the night and was happy to see each room is private. Dr. Ravi Pranav was on duty in the hospital and checked on me. I highly recommend that ER location.

Brought my friend to this ED to get pain checked out after a minor car accident. Every single person was so kind! Security, the front desk check in lady, triage nurse, Stacey her nurse in the back. We got in quickly and didn’t have to wait much at all. Kacie the PA was very nice and thorough. My friend came back from Xray talking about how nice and friendly the rad techs were. Overall we were impressed!
