I just got takeout from this location and when I went to pay for food none of the staff were wearing masks or practicing social distancing. Food is always good but I will not be returning due to lack of covid precautions.

I LOVE this place. They are really different & if anyone is nervous about trying something new THIS IS THE PLACE TO DO IT! Everything is good. My husband always suggests this place when he is hungry.

Amazing service and delicious food. Great atmosphere. Counter order and they bring the food right out to you. We all tried different tacos and every one of them was on the “would order again” list! Can’t go wrong here.

The staff here couldn’t be more friendly. They are all very bubbly and kind. It’s very cold here and the atmosphere is chill. The food was amazing and kept exactly the way it should be. The sweet tea was amazing as well. I’m looking forward to my next visit.

I used to enjoy Jimmy Hula’s but it’s gone downhill. I went there last night with my family and my wife got a poke bowl. It came with a sharpie cap in it. (See the pictures) They did agree to remake the bowl but that was it. The manager never came to our table. I would expect at least an apology for putting a chocking hazard in someone’s food.

Jimmy Hula's has a fun and lively atmosphere. You order at the counter (don't forget the tip bucket) and your food is delivered to the table. The food is served quickly and nicely prepared. You can mix and match your taco selection. Vegetarian selections are available. Seating is inside or outside. There's plenty of parking and seating. (The bathrooms are clean.) We really enjoyed our meal.

Friendly staff, delicious food and quick service. Will definitely be back. Photos are: shrimp caeser salad, Street tacos w/carnitas and steak and the Burnt Reynolds burger. All were amazing.

"Superbaliciuos" is the best surfer term I could come up with to describe these amazing, unique tacos. I had the Jimichurri, the Voodoo fish and the Jerk Chicken with sweet plantains tacos. All were Superbalicious!! 👍👍 oh, and I almost forgot the fries were just as amazing.

Great atmosphere, great food, great drinks, and most importantly - great service from an outstanding staff. This was our first visit. We will be back - frequently!

By far the best restaurant you can go to beachside for a casual bite. The Kingston tacos are a must and are usually filling at a fair price. The sauces are always tasty! We were some of the only ones in the restaurant and were never approached by staff asking how things were. Sitting outside on the porch would be the best eating experience to avoid the flies indoors.

This place is awesome. Love the killer and kingston. But they are a little spicy.

There was hair in my food & the server didn't even apologize. Nothing was done to help the issue & I was given the same taco back after I complained. They are lucky we had to pay before we sat down. No tip due to poor service.

Oh my goodness best food. We enjoyed the delicious chicken and steak Luau tacos with a pineapple pico sauce that made them so amazing. The staff even though overwhelmed are friendly and curtious. Best value too

Excellent service. I went here for brunch on a Saturday morning with friends. We were the only group sitting outside, but we were served perfectly. Waiter and waitress came by many times to make sure everything was good. Would definitely visit again!

One of my go-to places under the bridge by Dunlawton. Good beers, good chips, tacos, nachos Edit: sometimes they'll let you down, like yesterday. Sat at the end of the bar and must have been invisible. My incredibly messy, can't-eat-it-with-your-hands burger came quickly but I waited over ten minutes for the fries to join them. And yes, I tried to get some service, but that invisibility worked against me.

The Baja fish taco is delicious. The cabbage and mango combination is very good. The Poke salad is off the hook. Highly recommend it. When in Daytona Beach come to this establishment. Great service and its Reasonably priced great atmosphere killer vibes . Barmaid Stephanie is awesome 🙏

Food was very good but it not one of us got our meal at the same time . Kids hot meals at different times couples got meals at different times which is awkward. Guy in charge I assume owner or manager was not having a good day no smile or anything and kind of sarcastic. Not sure I'd go back because of him alone. The place is really cool looking live music is great but you need to be able to eat together and have friendly people serving you not cranky people. Also tips are asked for up front .

Surprised by the local feel in what looked like a tourist hot spot from the outside. Live music on Friday was a surprise also. Really cute staff and dress code. Had to ask for cinnamon for the sweet potato fries.

Food is usually great but service has gone downhill. Tacos came out 20 minutes after everyone else was done eating. I asked the server to check on our beers after people that came after us had received theirs. She never checked on them and never came back. I grabbed them myself and saw other drinks in puddles of their own condensation...they'd been sitting there a while along with ours. The servers were standing around talking and drinking their sodas when multiple tables needed to be cleaned off and wiped down. I saw a patron cleaning and wiping her own table so her and her family can sit down. Temperature inside was the same as outside. I never saw a manager walking around. The old managers from 2020 -2022 were so much better. If I ever go back, I'll save tipping for after my meal.

Went in for a quick bite and were very disappointed with the service. Fortunately Theodore, a new manager, was there to apologize and make it right. Thanks for listening and caring. The Taco menu is amazing and, according to other reviews, we want to try some ourselves. We'll be back to see how it's going.

Casual restaurant. I have been here multiple times, with and without live music. Last time their singer/acoustic guitarist was incredible! Food on te other hand is hit or miss. Last time fries were incredible this time they were not, but i do have to say their accommodation for the new set of fries was on point and done promptly. Tacos are okay- meet is decent quality but their taco shells are great. Overall good place for a casual bite near the intercostal.

Burgers are very good. Had the jerk fries, which on flavor were great. The fries themselves were very hard, and didn't get to the table until the burgers were already eaten. Staff was very friendly and polite. In today's world, I'd call the pricing fair. (Get a burger this good at McDonald's for the same money, I dare you)

This was my first time here, I came down from up north for the Veterans Day weekend. The bartender Celeste was incredible, she actually knew what she was doing and did it professionally. I got my food to go, but it looks and smells great. I would come back in a heart beat. I spoke with the GM briefly, he was warm and nice.

Food was good but the atmosphere was definitely obnoxious. No social distancing or masks anywhere to be found while people are coming in, out or waiting. Somebody was carrying a boxer (dog) around also there was a giant furry dog in the restaurant around peoples food. I didn’t think that was allowed. People screaming across the room to each other. The 2 live singers looked so unnerved trying to perform. Would probably do take out if we ever go back.

Love the live music and food! Only downside was, it was like a pet boarding establishment with the amount of animals! Seeing the servers, including ours, petting the dogs, made me think of how unsanitary this place could really be..🤔🙄😒

We can’t get enough of Jimmy Hula’s! Love this location and the one in OB as well. Mellow atmosphere, great menu, friendly staff, and the owners are super nice. Highly recommend the Kingston and the Jimmychurri tacos, and of course the queso.

This restaurant is always clean, fully staffed and presents a welcome energy. The food is super fresh and they have a full bar. My go to is the steak chimichurri bowl or the chicken teriyaki with pineapple. Always super fresh and delicious. Full menu including burgers and tacos. Last night they had live entertainment which was an added bonus! It's under the Dunlawton bridge, easy access.

I've been going to Jimmy Hula's in Altamonte Springs for some time now. Then one popped up in Ormond Beach a few years back and I was excited for it being there. Now there's one even closer? Awesome. The food is reliably good and consistent throughout the franchise. The ambiance is casual, and accomodating. My only concern is the seating is tight and few are following social distancing though most, not all, of the staff were making an attempt at wearing a mask.

Hands down the best tacos i have ever had in my life. I had the Voodoo, the Wipeout, and the Buffalo Ceasar. I was legitimately speechless when i took my first bite. If i could give it 6 stars, i would. I dont think i could give this place a better recommendation. Didnt take any pictures because i was too busy stuffing face. Friendly staff, and absolutely phenomenal food. It was a truly transcendent experience.

You have to order at the register. Pay for your food. Leave a tip. Take a number then they bring your food. One plate at a time 5 minutes apart. Remind them you never got your drinks....
