You can tell that the owners are working on the place. New mattress, really nice sink and faucet in bathroom. Negatives, refrigerator barely worked and the worst was the bedspread. No smoking signs everywhere and bedspread had about 30 burnholes in it. Also no safety lock on door. I am put a chair against door

Upon arrival, everything was kicked off to a great start. Friendly people ready to accommodate us even though we arrived early and wasn't time to check in yet. We requested a non smoking room and were told that they only had one nonsmoking room so we would have to wait until that guest checked out. So we put our stuff down into a smoking room until that guest was supposed to check out and then we could move our stuff over to the non smoking room. Come to find out a few hours later that derma allowed that other guest to keep that room for one more night because that guest asked her "please". If a guest was supposed to leave at a certain time and it's reserved for someone else at a certain time, why would she allow them to stay another night and not notify us? We didn't want a smoking room and since they only had one, we were really upset. When we tried to talk to derma, she asked us if we wanted air freshener for the room….NOO…like obviously something needs to be worked out. They ended up giving us $25 fee back for the late check out for the next day…which is at least they could do for the inconvenience. When we asked for fresh towels, eyes were rolled from management. Later on in the rooms, there were cockroaches in the bathroom. When we went to checkout, I brought it up to managements attention and she pretty much called us liars and got really defensive. We never once called her out of her name, and she started saying why are you calling me a hooker? She's delusional. Terrible customer service… And to top it all off…. The staff that worked around the hotel were whistling and catcalling…making me and my sister uncomfortable and one of them gave me the middle finger. Very unprofessional. I had a terrible experience here while I was trying to enjoy my vacation to Florida. I would never come back here and I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay.

Chose to stay here as at the last minute. On the outside it does not look that bad. There are shady people all around there. The room itself was horrible. The comforter had cigarette holes all over it. The bathroom had been renovated but was out of place for that room. The room had a bad smell. It also had roaches. Since there were no other hotels available because of an event at the Daytona speedway I had to stay the one night. I disinfected sanitized and cleaned as best I could and was out of there the minute I woke up. If it's an emergency this place will do if you have a choice this place should not be one of them.

I was eating on the bed in room 163 when I saw a bed bug! Then I started looking around and found that there were roaches everywhere. This was at 10 p.m. I went to get my money back and no one spoke english and no one would give me my $$$ back. We waited an hour and a half for someone to show up that spoke english ....just to not get $ back. It was awful. Come here if you want roaches and or bed bugs brought to your house. Oh ...and you won't get your money back. And they can take your $$ but no one can speek english and give back your $$. I am going to call the board of health on this place.

Cleanest motel I’ve ever stayed in and book often. Great friendly customer service and low rates, 100 percent worth the quiet area and super close to the beach!

I was awakened in the middle of the night by bedbugs. So I slept in my car. My husband tried to explain to owner about the bedbugs. He ask my husband where was the key to the room and slam the window in his face. These people take your money knowing that they have infestations of bedbugs in there hotel. Please don't spend your money in this nasty hotel.

I am shocked, surprised and thankful. Clean clean clean. Huge shower and updated. Woman in the front was so nice and accommodating. Small on-the-go breakfast and coffee. It’s an open parking lot so you can always see your vehicle but won’t be necessary. Quiet at night and during the day. I have lived in Daytona on and off and ridge wood is not the ideal location but we were desperate because of bike week. And we got lucky! Highly recommend!

Front desk was hard to talk to...had to go .. make up room after I got the keys...

ROACHES AND SMOKING. We booked this place as there was an event going on in town. The price wasn't awful ($189 (tax included) per night for 3 beds), HOWEVER as soon as I walked in the room it smelled like cigarettes, and I saw roaches running around. I ran straight to the owner who tried arguing a little bit but quickly offered a refund. I didn't even check the beds for bed bugs but I'm sure they were there. Please don't stay here.

Old, neglected rooms with a musty smell. Cockroaches in several corners. We had a "problem" with the Booking reservation (they did not respect it) and to solve it, we had to pay extra. I don't recommend it at all
