Lovely owners, Jan & Andrea, who were super accommodating, friendly & helpful. Our room was gorgeous, offering all your necessities with an extremely comfortable bed & clean bathroom. Breakfast included a fresh fruit platter, crackers with cheese, pickles & preserves, cereal & a hot English breakfast or omelette. Beautifully decorated & immaculately maintained. You drive through a slightly dodgy-looking area & breathe a sigh of relief when stepping through the gate of Potties, walking through a gorgeous big garden with swimming pool & bonfire area. The perfect place to start off our romantic roadtrip down to Cape Town & would loved to have spent another night. Close to shops & restaurants, too. LOVED IT!

Wow what a great place to visit for working purposes if not even for breaking away to get peace off mind to get rest or even for a holiday get away these two amazing friendly heartwarming people Jan and Andrea made me feel alway comfortable and at ease,no matter the time i phoned them they always made a place to accommodate me even wen thy are booked fully,theres every tim something that's changes sins the previous times wen I visited last Jan is always thinking out side the box and change to the beter off there business,wow iam amazed that it's not just there job or business but there passion to se the faces off there clients wen they see every time there's something new to see,as I am for the past 8 Months one off there customers I'll never have to look around for a place again to stay overnight or even for 11days like I did this is there pride an keep there clients happy seems to me like a passion thy have that I haven't seen from other places well done you have today I customer for live guaranteed....Jan is sorely bussy with his new project....I'll call it Potties Paradise If seen the development that's taking place on his newly premises wen it's done I can't wait to visit there again further make an effort to star this amazing people business and rate them...lovely personnality and fun ti get to know them,,,... Stayed over in Potties Guest House 23 June 2019. What a great experience. Friendly hosts who were willing to go the extra mile to accommodate my husband and myself in supplying supper at short notice, and taking my food allergy into account. The sleeping facility was excellent - comfortable and cosy down-duvet and pillows. We could not fault this guest house and would definitely visit there again. We would recommend this guest house to anybody visiting De Aar. Thank you Jan and Andrea for all you hospitality (and delicious peach jam!)

Cute guesthouse managed by a real "power couple" Our stay was in a newly renovated room which was so homely and beautifully decorated. The lights in the garden brightened up the area at night and truly was a lovely sight. The eating area was furnished with wooden tables and chairs, followed with a braai and kitchen area. Breakfast was deliciously prepared by the couple. Although it was only an overnight stay, the couple made you feel at home like you were just out visiting friends. Definite hit and repeat

We work all over the country and stayed many places but nothing compares to the services that we received from this guesthouse. Leana went out of her way to assist in any way. The technicians had to leave for work very early and couldn't attend breakfast.. she drove to the site where they worked and delivered food parcels for them without anyone asking. Our guys can't stop talking how much they enjoyed their stay. They also provided dinner which was also unbelievable!

Amazing little spot. Owners are extremely friendly and accommodating. Beautiful garden with koi ponds, fire places, a pool, and a cash bar. Breakfast is incredible, all in all a great experience. Coco (the dog) is also a sweetheart.

This Guesthouse is beautiful, so quiet and serene. Perfect little oasis in our way to Cape town. Would definitely recommend. The host was very friendly and welcoming and made us feel at home. Clean and neat. We had a great stay.

I stayed with my friend and we were made to feel very welcome. Jan and Andrea couldn't do enough for us. It was a hot day but we were able to cool down in the pool and relax in the beautiful garden. Also the food was delicious and I would recommend this place to anyone. It was fantastic! Paula and Ella from Manchester England.

There is a Gem to be found in De Aar  - Potties Guest House!! Hosts are interactive and caring, with generous accommodation topping 5* (wifi, fridge, microwave, DSTV, iron with ironing board, fresh crisp white linen and towels, aircon, and so much more). The garden is beautifully landscaped with an inviting pool beckoning you to have a swim.  Secure parking with good security all round provides extra peace of mind. Breakfast was outstanding with an equally generous selection to tuck into. True value for money. As for hospitality? Absolutely Priceless!!. Thank you Jan and Andrea for helping us with a late check-in. Our car broke down and Jan helped us to jump-start the car twice, notwithstanding taking great care to ensure all was in order for our safe travel back home.

Even though it was a vary short stay. The room was vary elegant and beautiful. Keep up the standard guys. Well done.

Pool maintenance 4 days out of a 5 day stay. Workers literally on our doorstep. Very noisy, envading our privacy & contaminating the tranquility of the expected peaceful location Prior notification & a discount would have balanced the inconvenience. Owners' Dachshund barked nonstop from early in the morning till late at night. Furthermore: poor quality toiletpaper, bath towels not of adequate size (too small for an adult), poor coffee set-up (fresh milk & bottled water expected). On a positive note. Lovely surroundings (if no noise pollution), beautiful swimming pool (could not use due to maintenance work). Position of barbecue area contributes to lack of privacy. Communial "braai area" located in front of room "one" created noise & disturbance. We would recommend the breakfast.

The room was not clean up the next morning...no fresh bedding, shower were still dirty.... No tea, coffee, sugar or milk available. Basically it was a turn off after a full payment was made.

Hospitality defined. What an unexpected and brilliant experience. Top marks, 12 out of 10 on every front. Personal attention from the hosts and good clean facilities. Change your route to Capetown and make sure you visit here. The road is much nicer and not as busy in any case. Thanks for making our journey a lot better! Who knew De Aar could be this good?
