This is great sushi! Not just good for rural Alabama, but genuinely great. Had the sashimi deluxe tonight as well as some daily special rolls and I couldn't be more satisfied. Large portions is not something you normally expect at a sushi place but they definitely deliver without sacrificing quality. Sashimi was served on shiso leaf which is a detail I really appreciated. Will definitely come back.

I always come here for the best quality sushi in rainsville, you can tell the owner takes pride in his work and his establishment, love coming to eat here, such friendly and professional people. Great sourced food cooked the right way! I will always be coming back for more. 5/5 would highly recommend eating here if you're in the rainsville area. Owner is a super nice family man!

I happened upon this restaurant between my appointments with our customers. I’m so glad I saw this restaurant because what I ordered (Sushi Deluxe) was just really good. Rice was cooked well and sushi vinegar was applied very adequately. Raw fish tasted very fresh on every piece of sushi I had. Next time I’m in town I’ll have to try other things. One thing is that prices listed on the menu aren’t updated - but it says on the door as you enter the restaurant that they had to raise the price on everything due to the pandemic or something. But even though they raised the price on everything I still thought it was a bargain for all that sushi for that price. I highly recommend this place!

One of the better sushi/ hibachi places in the near by area. The service is always friendly. The food is always hot and fresh. I've rarely had any issues out of the restaurant itself other then not having enough room for all of the food!

My family and I like to try new places when we are out siteseeing and let me tell you..... we will go out of our way to eat at Toki again!! After reading the reviews and only seeing 1 negative, we decided to give this restaurant a try. I'm so glad we did, the food and staff were amazing! I like to go with the staffs suggestions and try at least 1 new item. Our waitress suggested trying captain crunch and su special. We tried both and I'm so glad we did! Our kids loved everything they ordered and the portions are perfect. I was impressed that our grandson ate the salad, our daughter ate both our soups, then they both chowed down on the appetizers. Even with a reheat our 6yr old grandson was raving about how good the food is. I would highly recommend anyone in the area to stop in and give it a shot.

Wanted to take a moment to update this review: the building has had some updating. New paint, and all that. It definitely looks nice and well kept. This time around, I tried to filet box dinner which came with a generous amount of teriyaki steak served on sautéed onions (which was super delicious and super saucy), fried rice, vegetable egg rolls, and 4 pieces of sushi. It is also served with an appetizer of the clear soup and salad. Every single bit of it was delicious. Except the sushi, but that is a personal opinion and not at all the fault of the restaurant. I order the box to save a little money off of the hibachi filet price so I knew what I was getting into with the sushi being included, lol. We also got the fried gyoza as an appetizer. Was definitely good, and crispy like gyoza should be. Great price, food was delicious. I ate so much I was absolutely miserable the rest of the evening. I do love the hibachi experience with the person cooking in front of you, but it is also refreshing to be able to get some good Japanese food without having to be social with a cook and other families sitting at the same table. Would definitely recommend. Changed rating from 3 star to 5/5. Restaurant building is outdated. Food is good, though. The restaurant definitely has a local loyal following, so I think you just have to really be into sushi to get the full experience. Coming from someone that isn’t, I’d rather go to a hibachi. But if you’re in it for the sushi, definitely swing by.

This is my go to joint for good sushi in DeKalb county AL. The staff is awesome. Service is always exceptionally fast and who would expect to get quality sushi In rainsville, Alabama, but Toki delivers every time.
