A very lovely place in the historical city center. The service was wonderful and they were accommodating despite me not being able to speak Hungarian. There is an English menu available. The dish I ordered was cooked well and tasted amazing.

Nice atmosphere, good good. Decent prices. Paid parking spot nearby, not too big. For the washroom you need to ask the access code.

Wonderful atmosphere. Great staff and service. I am surprised with mango soup. Also it is very nice when you can choose small or big portion of the main dish, so that you can be ensured that you will eat all from the plate. Very good mix of different vegetables, porridge, meat and some kind of sauce. Good start of getting familiar with new city by trying good cousine culture!

Absolutely one of the best restaurants with exceptional food and service. Place has nice atmosphere and good vibe. Location is centrally located with easy parking nearby. It’s a 10+ place! A must visit, extraordinary place for sure! If you like special Hungarian food this is your place!

I am still stunned by the high level and quality of this place. The food was so impressively delicious, the complexity and depth in flavor are strikingly noticeable and fascinating. The interiors and the atmosphere are so nice, relaxing and classy. The service is so great and the staff are so neat and nice! The wines are so delicious and there is a great variety in options.

Great restaurant, the foods were absolutely amazing! The only restaurant I have seen so far in Hungary which has clear picture for each of the food on their menu, I LOVE this. It makes thing so easy for me to order, at least to the one who is new to western food. The waiter and waitress are kind. Minus point: if you pay by card, you will be charged for extra 10% fee. Plus the toilet has its codes, you need the staff to help for this.

Traditional Hungarian restaurant. I love it here. Almost everything is wonderful, the food, the atmosphere, the location, the staff. I especially enjoy the beef tartar steak here, it’s one of the best in town :)

First time here coming from a friend recommendation. I can not say anything bad from this place cause the experience was fantastic: food, atmosphere, service and price. For sure a better option than some downtown restaurants. We will be back for sure. We took: Buffalo stew, chicken breast with blue cheese sauce, duck, pork and the breaded chicken.

If you are in Debrecen, it is worth visiting this restaurant. The food is delicious and the service is perfect. I am glad that I could have this delicious experience.

The place confused me a little with its harsh yellow upholstery on the chairs and some purplish lighting here and there as its name and most of the menu suggested a typical traditional Hungarian interior, it wasn't rural or traditional at all. The music was quiet and international that I liked. The Csokonai Soup is a must! Perfect Hungarian goulash soup at its best and as a rare surprise it is gluten free!!! I will definitely go back for that soup alone. My second course was pork stake with garlic roast and smoked bacon. Big disappointment. First of all I had to wait for it over 10 minutes after my soup though I ordered both at the same time. (trying to be fair about the waiting time there was an event going on upstairs, being Saturday afternoon, so probably that slowed down the service) So the pork stake was way too salty for me and spicy the wrong way, the potato (boiled and roasted) didn't win my heart either. The salad that I ordered had nothing to do with traditional Hungarian "csalamade" as it wasn't really pickled but made with fresh vegetables, was OK, but not the food it was named after. I had the feeling that the whole second course was prepared with some budget ingredients...) The service was fine with a very young staff but OK. There was no gluten free dessert, no comment. So overall I would recommend the soup, period.

Tried this place out last night and it lives up to its reputation. The restaurant is spotless, wait staff is well prepared, they speak english and treat you with respect. This place also has a vegetarian menu!!! (Pics included) We were able to order different meals and each had a different experience with one thing in common: the food was too salty. The food was well prepared, presentation excellent!! This place is slightly more pricey than the surrounding area but well worth it. The bathrooms were very clean and had soap and toilet paper.

Simply perfect. Every dish we ordered had such a rich flavor. After 2 years of living in Hungary, this is the best I've ever been to.

If I could add the plus to the maximum mark, I would gladly do it. An excellent and beautiful place where you eat very well. The food is very tasty, excellently tasty. And service and hospitality is at home. The waiters here love their job and make you feel amazing. We will definitely come back here. Thank you!

Outstanding! I tried many restaurants in Debrecen over the years. This place surprised me how good it is. The waiters are experts without a question. They made sure we have a good time. The food was decorated beautifully and the taste was amazing, new, exciting. The portion was big as well. The flavours, the atmosphere, the staff. Congratulation team! Keep up this good work. I will definietly visit again and spread the news how good it is.

The restaurant is worth a visit, the food is good, quality ingredients and good portions after a full day of swimming. Even if the portions are generous they are still delicious. The employees are very professional and pleasant. Will definitely come again next time I am in Debrecen.

I really recommend the aubergine and cheese starter with sweet potato side (it felt like a vegetarian main course, not a starter) and the somlói galuska for dessert. They were both filling and delicious. The ambient was pleasant, but small, so make sure to make a reservation before coming because it fills up fast. The other dish we ordered was the fish with garlic potato side and orange-tapioca buffalo (?) sauce, but that one could have been better. The tapioca sauce didn't taste good in combination with the other elements in the dish. The restaurant was really full too and the service was slow and inefficient, it could have been better. Besides, the waiters didn't speak English so well. I would come back again but try a different second dish, and hope for a better service.

Very nice restaurant with wonderful food. As we came during the summer we were sitting outside, on the patio with charming lights and decorations. The waiter was very nice and attentive, helped us to choose wine and explain the dishes. I must say the prices are very reasonable and not expensive (in my opinion). Definitely will come back here, I strongly recommend.
