Understated. Maybe you'd not expect something this good to be hidden in an understated building at an not particularly impressive location. The staff here (probably the owners?) are very nice and they help you with enthousiasm. The food is honest, not fancy but really tasty and good, if you're not expecting Michelin starred dishes. Long story short: it's a nice and simple place with good food. I would definitely eat here again.

Must see place when in Debrecen. Incredibly good fish food and everything related (the have different type of fresh fish which you can choose out of). The staff is verry friendly and eager to help (event though they do not "master" the english language)- you feel welcome. The decor is quite something- the feeling you get is that you are eating in grandmas kitchen, something cooked by grandma herself.

If you are looking for delicious fish dishes then this is the place. Their Korhely Fish soup and bread is really delicious. The roasted carp also really good. They have a quick pick up service, but it is possible to eat in too. We ordered food ahead on phone and everything was ready just in time when we got there.

Loved the food, the service, the atmosphere. If you love fish, this small bistro is a must. They speak a bit of english, so we could order fish and chips. It would help if they had a printed menu, with pictures of the servings (if not translated in english). We found a menu with google, searching in an application for food delivery. We couldn't find a menu on the bistro's webpage, although we searched (we don't speak Hungarian). The meal was accompanied by twi good, lactose-free, mayonnaise-based sauces.

Very friendly and polite service, dishes are made to order, just like in a chippy. Fresh, warm and delish food at a cozy place. If you like fish, you must try this :)

A small but cozy small restaurant next to the main road in Debrecen. Their name suggests in hungarian their main dish, which is fish :) They have some hungarian basics like halászlé, haltepertő, but fish and chips and fish wrap is available as well. The garnishes are potato chips, sweet potato chips, and a joghurt-sauced red cabbage. Staff is really nice and helpful, and they have many soft drinks and some bottled beers. If you are around, definitely give haltepertő a try!

Amazing. Very good food at fair prices

This is one of the few restaurants in town that actually offer good quality for your money. As we like to cook at home we appreciate places where we can have something we can't easily make ourselves and Keszegsütő is just like this. It's not cheap but nowadays when a decent pizza costs at least 1800 HUF it is not expensive either.

Had a option to visit the place due to my friends suggestions with gift voucher. Had a great time and tasted different flavour of fish in traditional Hungarian style. Liked it very much.

We have discovered this bistro during trip from Romania to Poland. This was excellent choice. There are 4-5 small tables inside and quite a lot of customers willing to try delicious fish based meals. We were lucky to get the seat. We’ve tried fish soup and kids took fried fish. Everything was very tasty. Staff is not speaking English but is very nice and helpful.

A very hushed and serene place solely for fish lovers. This place exceeded my expectations. They accept cards and they are quite affordable. The location is also very strategic and accessible by public transport, and it also near a big 24 hour shopping mall. I must say that it was very clean.
