Went to Smokejack BBQ over the weekend and I like the vibe of the restaurant. We ordered pull pork sandwich and brisket sandwich and the meat was tender on both sandwiches. I also ordered Brunswick Stew but I was not impressed with it. Real Score is 4.4 I will come back again.

I’m not from the US, so definitely not an expert on BBQ, but I definitely enjoyed my experience here. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were out of this world. As a German, I was surprised by the sausages, they were really good!

Canadian reviewing Georgian restaurants. I mean Smoke Houses! And in Canada, we don't have real Smoke Houses. This was the real deal. Emory was an amazing hostess! She made the experience wonderful. She helped guide us through the food selection and made us feel right at home. Also, her recommendation of the Blueberry Moonshine Slushie of Awesomeness was, well, awesome! Someone give Emory a raise and high five for being so amazing. We are definitely coming back to Smokejack BBQ when we are in Georgia again.

Best barbecue I have ever been to. They amazingly create flavors layer by layer. Reasonably priced and very welcoming staff. Strongly recommended.

We visited lunch on Sunday. Not only the ribs is amazing, but the turkey breast is good. And the sides are also great, specially we love that fries! Coca cola cake is cool, base cake is rich chocolate cake, topping rich chocolate sauce then with ice cream, which after dishes is a nice ending. atmosphere is nice. very friendly server.

Good atmosphere and main dishes were delicious. Burnt ends and the all jacked up brisket sandwich were super tasty. Some of the sides were a little disappointing including corn pudding and beans. Key lime pie, wasn't bad but never again.

Staff was courteous but our waitress was awesome. Food was delicious, actually the best bbq that I’ve had since living in Georgia and topped off the end with the Key lime pie, best decision. Drinks and fried pickles were good as well.

I’ll be completely honest. I’m not a fan of BBQ food but the wife wanted to try this place. We went on a Wednesday Evening which we were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and shown a table. The restaurant is kept clean and has a southern decor. The only reason why I rated this as a 3 star was because nothing stood out. Our waiter seemed to be in a hurry and what I mean by that was as soon as we sat down he asked what we wanted to drink and if we would like something to start us off. We didn’t even get to look at the menu which I honestly didn’t bother me too much but nearing the ends of our meals, he asked if we like any deserts. We both replied no thanks and he immediately put the bill on the table and walked away. I know my wife and I look young which might have played into the fast service but it made us both feel like he thought we wouldn’t leave a decent tip or maybe we did something to upset him. Overall, if you like BBQ food, I say give it a try but again…. nothing stood out to me as being above normal. There was an annoying fly that kept landing in our table and flying above our heads.

Smokejack BBQ is a great place to go for BBQ. I got the Brisket with spicy BBQ sauce, mac and cheese, and corn pudding. The fried pickles were okay, and the sauce was great. The mac and cheese was sort of average. however, the brisket was delicious. When you add the sauces that they have on the table, the brisket hits the spot. The corn pudding was pretty damn good, as well. I enjoyed the brisket, but I'm sure most people would cringe that I enjoyed it more with the spicy BBQ sauces they have at the table. I just wish there were slightly hotter and more flavorful sauces to slather on to my food. To be clear, the brisket doesn't need it, but I will never pass up an opportunity for sauces. My peer got the ribs Memphis style, but I don't know the particular dry rub they put on this. As you can see from the photo, his ribs were a generous portion. I don't know the dry rub that they put on this, but it was *absolutely* delicious. One of the servers/waiters who I thought was the owner or manager -- was absolutely top notch. He would check and make sure everyone was okay at each table. I don't recall his name, however.

This was our second visit. We were seated quickly, well taken care of, food was DELICIOUS. Consistency of quality goes a long way with us and everything was just as amazing as last time. Management stopped by to check on us which is always welcome.

I came here for a dinner with friends and I'm coming home with a certainty: here are served the best hamburgers in town. My pulled pork one was unforgettable: perfect cooked and with spicy BBQ sauce. My friends got some briskets and a double cheeseburger and all of them were enthusiastic. Pretty good also the draft beers' list: my favourite one is always the Six Bridges IPA. Much appreciated the service, too. Very very recommended to everyone!

Solid barbecue spot in Alpharetta downtown. Great ribs and brisket - burnt ends were above average but not great. Overall good chicken sandwich and hotdog too. Dessert was key lime pie and banana pudding which were solid.

This was our first time being here. It was absolutely amazing. Our server listened, intently, to my food allergy and made every effort to ensure it was handled. We will absolutely be back.

Literally the best BBQ I’ve ever had. Everything was flavorful, smoky, and juicy. The ribs are the best I’ve had. Don’t dismiss the grilled vegetables just cause they’re vegetables because even those were full of flavor. The mashed sweet potatoes and collards were fantastic! Customer service was also great! Edit to add: Get the orange habanero chicken thighs!! If you like sweet and spicy, it’ll be one of the best chicken dishes you can have. We almost dismissed it but it ended up being amazing.

The first thing that stuck out to me was the very diverse menu. They have plenty of ways to enjoy barbecue that are unique. They’re sauce is great. Meat was perfect, side were good as well. The service was great. Really no complaints. I would also recommend the banana pudding!

Ordered 6 lbs of smoked Turkey breast. Was told it was hand carved. I picked it up today..brought it home and found it was a turkey roll uniform pieces. I called Brooke she said it’s the same smoked breast they always serve sliced in a slicer. Not what we expected for $17 a pound. She started to tell me about the contact I signed. I explained to her hand carved is not machine sliced and if we had known we would have done something else. She did finally offer for me to return it but…. I don’t have any other choice at this late date but to serve it Thursday.

Great smokehouse with a trendy, new restaurant feel. Sat at the bar and ordered a beer and brisket sandwich; and was asked what cut of brisket I wanted on my sandwich, a great touch. Food was excellent, plated well and ample portions. Excellent location, other than the lack of parking.

Some of my favorite BBQ in metro Atlanta. Brisket and burnt ends are some of the best I've had. All the meat was cooked beautifully and the sweet sauce complemented everything so well. I'm dying to try the ribs! Sides are always amazing. My favorites are the corn pudding and mashed sweet potatoes. Don't forget to ask for the daily veggies! Save room for desert btw. Banana Pudding is bangin and I saw a chocolate thing that looked really good. Food came out fairly quick and the atmosphere is great. AND to top it all off, prices are great, which is hard to come by with BBQ. Check out Smokejack!!

This place was excellent!! My son and I had fried pickles and split the Holy trinity and had leftovers to take home. We order fried pickles at every restaurant we go to. I was not a fan of the sauce that came with them. Tasted like straight Mayo, weird never seen that before for those. The pickles are crispy and tasted great. Ask for the Ranch dressing instead. That stuff is magical. The Holy Trinity was outstanding!! The brisket was very good. Unless I am certain a place has great Brisket, I always order Moist. I think you could opt for lean here it was well cooked and super Juicy. Check out the rib picture. It was glistening and that was the dry rub. The rub is loaded with flavor and the ribs are smoked well. I am a huge sauce guy and barely used any which is rare for me with ribs. The smoked sausage may have been the star of the plate. Holy smokes!!! Great bite, juicy and an explosion of flavor. They had Cajun and Jalapeño Cheddar. I cannot decide which was better. I will definitely order those again. They have a great Carolina Mustard sauce. I was fully planning on putting on the sausages. It was main reason I ordered them. I didn't end up using any sauce because they were great with out it. The sides we ordered were Mac n cheese, potato salad, and baked beans. The plate comes with 4 but my son loves Mac n cheese so we got 2. It the has typical bbq style Mac n cheese with crispy crust. My son is insane and does not like the crust but he demolished the rest. The potato salad was the surprise of night. This was amazing. Not typical bbq potato salad. It was rich and flavorful. I would highly recommend. The baked beans was the only miss of the night. For as spectacular as everything else was, the beans were kind of plain. We will be back with the rest of family!

We were in Georgia visiting friends and I asked them for some southern BBQ. They took us here and it was amazing. The food was wonderful, especially the brisket and Mac and cheese, my two favorites! I should mention our server was spectacular! Thanks for the wonderful meal and night out. If I'm ever in town again I know where I'm eating!

I have been looking for a good barbecue in Georgia for a while. Usually I go to Tennessee to get my fix. I’m very critical of my bbq but this place is legit. The Memphis style dry rub ribs are really good. The burnt ends are delicious, the atmosphere is great and the area is beautiful. The desert was good too. Can’t wait to back and try brisket slices and pulled pork.

I truly enjoyed the food and quick service. The reason I knocked of two stars is because of the quality of the service. I asked for a sweet tea and was given unsweetened tea. Since it was the first time, I just overlooked it. Once I asked for a tea to-go and I wanted to buy a gallon to-go, I was still given unsweetened tea and they still didn’t give me my gallon of tea. At that point, I just left without taking my tea since I assumed it wouldn’t be sweetened. I have been there once before which made me want to get the tea. If I would’ve been told that they didn’t have sweet tea, this review would be totally different. Make sure you’re getting what you ordered if you go here!

My new favorite barbecue place in town! Super friendly staff. The Alabama barbecue sauce is the best thing you'll ever eat (especially if you love Ranch). Pulled pork queso is incredible and the grilled chicken was cooked to perfection! I'll be coming back here quite often!

Our favorite place for BBQ in Alphretta Main Street. We had ten half rack with dry rib. The ribs weee juicy and very tasty. The other people in the table had the half smoke bird. Again very good and nit dry. Each main has 2 sides. In addition we took garden salad that was fresh. Wide Beer selection. Service is good and attentive.

Good BBQ - Pulled pork, beef brisket, vegetable sides with peach cobbler dessert. They have a bar, restaurant seating inside and outside. They also have a separate area upstairs for private parties and meetings. Adequate free public parking is available across the street.

Incredibly delicious barbecue. The aroma of smoke permeates the air becoming increasingly intense while approaching the restaurant, intensifying the desire for some perfectly prepared KC, or Memphis, style meat. It was so easy to pick the rib bones clean by simply biting down on the succulent morsels and detaching with a well placed bite. Burnt tips so flavorfully delicious. All the sides will complete your journey to this culinary Nirvana. Be sure to save room for dessert, or take one home with the leftovers.

The best barbecue restaurant I've been to in my life. Usually, I'm more of a brisket guy, but their ribs are so amazing that I strongly favor them. Pretty much all of their side items are great, but I especially like the mashed sweet potatoes, collards, grilled vegetables, baked beans, and mac and cheese. Sweet tea here is decent - lemonade does NOT come with free refills, but it might be worth it if that's what you want as it's very good. One recommendation I have is to avoid Saturdays for dinner purposes because the wait times get absolutely wild - I'm talking 1 hours minimum for couples and 1 and a half hours for groups (with many getting 2+ hours).

In traditional Scotch With E fashion I had to try out a local favorite. We decided to stop into the bbq spot Smoke Jack with my family to celebrate a birthday and an anniversary. The menu was very nice and full of many things to try. We order a platter to try everything that matters. I will tell you everything was great. The flights of whiskey were awesome. Definitely a good choice.

Yum! Everything we ordered was delicious. Smoked Turkey, pulled pork, brisket, burnt tips, all of it! The Mac and cheese is a must. Mashed sweet potatoes were amazing, think Thanksgiving table where they can double as a dessert. The greens were cooked and seasoned perfectly. Corn pudding was moist and thick. Service was fantastic! Great decor, clean, beautiful bar. The setting was gorgeous, and the location could t be more perfect. We will be back every time we visit Alpharetta.

Smokejacks is a local fav of mine for good southern food and BBQ. My personal favorite is the Smoked Boneless Chicken Thigh appetizer which I usually get as a meal. The Orange Habanero Glaze, Slaw, Blue Cheese and Scallions combo flavor is so good... If you are a fan of fried pickles and/or mac-n-cheese, Smokejacks is a must! And please bring back my favorite fish tacos please, please, please!!!!!
