This has to be the worst experience I have ever had. My wife went there 4 times for imaging over 3 months, they managed to botch 3 procedures. The first time she went she had a port inserted. She was a bit nervous and was looking for support. She talked with the nurse who said "I see you would like a bit of small talk to help, I suppose I try!" My wife asked one question and the nurse said "I just can't do this!" and walked off. After that she woke during the procedure because they were late in starting the procedure. She experience lot of pain during the procedure. The next time, not only was she nervous after her previous experience, but was asked to wait in a room after drugs were given for a PET scan. She was told not to move and it would only be an hours. Given the uncomfortable state and the previous experience asked if someone could come in and see her in an hour. Over 2 hours later they come in and took her off for the scan. On the final time, my wife had to go in to have some fluid drained. While doing this she had a IV connected and as they moved her into the machine the line got caught and flooded all through her hair, this really upset her. Unless you are an inpatient and you have to go to here, go elsewhere. You will save a lot of money to! I have since spoken to a lot of patients, I am yet to hear a good comment. In fact a common statement has been to get the scans outside and take them with you.

I couldn't speak more highly of the staff here. From reception to nurses to radiologist, I have had to have two procedures within a week of each other. All staff were caring, and wonderful. Sympathetic to my anxieties and all around beautifully natured. As a sufferer of chronic pain it is reassuring to know they care, and do their best to make you feel comfortable. Every step of my procedures was explained in detail. Thanks guys :)

I went for a bone scan today and it was a very pleasant experience made so by Ahmed Bawakid and Byron Russell. It was a very difficult process to find a vein and Ahmed was so caring and sensitive to my situation. Thank you both for the wonderful care you provided me today. Regards Gina Solomon

For weeks I was liasing with an admin woman 'Miriam' over emails trying to book an investigation with this radiology clinic. I provided her with two referrals, she kept responding with suggestions to why I should go elsewhere, even though they offered this procedure, she even suggested I travel to Melbourne while my residential address is in North QLD! Eventually, I was forced to go elsewhere, however first I complained to their higher management, that I also had to ask for twice for. I didn't get an explanation to why this was so difficult from their management or any form of compensation, they were just happy I found 'elsewhere to get my investigation done'. I ended up booking my procedure with QScan, and that took one single conversation. The cost of the investigation was apparently, if the i-med woman gave me correct details at all, a thousand dollars more at i-med. This entire experience was like dealing with a public hospital in a socialistic country. Either that, or I was simply discriminated due to my non- Australian name. 20 years I have never had an experience like this anywhere in Australia.

Professional life saving service, any hour of the day or night when admitted, but for some reason they just cant seem to get the invoices out correctly. I never receive a first invoice just overdue reminders with very short payment requirement. 3 times in a row this has happened, yet they insist they sent the initial invoice. its very frustrating. but hay, I am alive so thanks for that....... being billed is not the be all and end all.

I have had numerous scans and MRIs at Wesley Imaging in the past year (accident prone), and have always been impressed by the five-star service in this busy hospital. Once behind closed doors, in the inescapable clutches of the people in the white coats, the care and kindness shown to me has been greatly appreciated. I have used the services of other radiology centres but the Wesley outshines them all.

I attended Wesley Medical Imaging this afternoon for an MRI that I had some anxiety about. I shouldn't have worried as the staff were so friendly, from both the Reception to Nursing Staff and Technicians. I was attended by Nurse Helen (I'm pretty sure that was her name, but I was quite anxious at the time, so do apologize if that's not right) who explained the whole procedure in terms I could understand. Helen had a great "bedside manner" and made me feel a lot more relaxed. It's the little things that people do, that often go unnoticed, that do make anxious people a lot more relaxed. Thanks Nurse Helen and staff at UCMI.

I had an MRI of my neck, chest, abdomen and pelvis recently and received the report and scan via mail as I had requested. However, the scan only showed the MRI of my neck soft tissue. I rang i-MED and was told that they could not put all the scans on one disc. I suggested putting them on more than one disc and offered to pay for the discs if necessary. They agreed and said I could come and collect 5 discs the next morning. When I went to collect the discs, I was bewildered to find all the discs labelled MRI NECK SOFT TISSUE. Why would you label all the 5 discs with the same name? How would my pancreas specialist know which disc to look at if they are labelled by the same name. Not all specialists have an account with I-MED and cannot log into I-MED. It would also be time wasting for him to go through one disc after another to find what he is looking for. In total, I waited for 3 hours and still did not get a positive outcome. I had to leave because I had to take my sick cat to the vet. I wanted to get the problem settled on that day as getting the discs sent to me by post would not reach me before I am due to see my specialist. I have now 3 discs labelled MRI NECK SOFT TISSUE, one with the word 'ABDOMEN' scribbled on it and another with 'CHEST, ABDOMEN, PELVIS'. It would have taken only 2 mins to download each of the discs to see what is there and label them appropriately. I have never had such a bad experience with any other radiology centre. No apologies were given and no empathy shown by any of the staff members involved. A professional practice would ensure that the customer/patient is give a complete report including the MRI scan on disc/s which are appropriately labelled. A very upsetting experience.

My first experience here and I must say, from the moment I walked into the place to the moment I left, I found the staff most amicable. My personal thank you to all the staff involved in my case

I had to have a 3 phase CT scan a few years back, the graduate radiographer didn't cannulate correctly for the contrast and well it didn't go well. Management dealt with it well and did not charge me for the scan which I was grateful for. I recently had an MRI as a follow up from the CT scan to see how everything is going and I was very impressed! I was nervous and dreading having to do the scan but all my nerves were eased quickly. My scan was prompt, the nurse was caring, the MRI tech was informative and the machine itself was not like the ones I've been in before with other diagnostic places. It was very big! I didn't feel claustrophobic at all, in fact I almost fell asleep in the machine. The report was sent to my doctor with urgency and was extremely detailed. I have to have another test done soon and I will be going through Wesley again as my first choice. Thank you for making my experience pleasant.

I found the staff to be courteous, diligent and completely professional throughout every facet of my recent scans. The technicians and nursing staff provided comprehensive answers to any questions I asked inspiring confidence that I was in experienced hands. Thank you to everyone involved ...

The staff were nice but Dr Walters bedside manner needs to be better. He walked in introduced minself as Dr Walters and had no empathy to my situation. Would request not to see him again. Very old fashioned which doesn't work well with patients needing care and empathy.

Not a medcare provider now. Its fully private and charges insane for scans. There was no notification of when they have stopped bulk billing.

No mention that they no longer bulk bill to Medicare during bookings, has to call and ask - Beware it’s all private billed

The receptionist who attended to me was one of the rudest grouchy people I have dealt with. She speaks quickly and indistinct and then shows her irritation when you cannot make put what she is saying.

Could not have been more helpful. Thank you all staff and especially Jada (who helped me solve the tricky problem of a missing referral).

Shocker to say the least! Last time I checked into Wesley Hospital event though I have had an MRI with Q-Xray prior to checking in and I told them about it that was ignored they carried out another MRI anyway and sent me a whopping bill. In addition they charged me for X-Rays I had already paid and furthermore threatened me with collection agencies so I paid it again. That was eventually refunded with no apologies. Not the MRI though. Now I am about to check in again for surgery and I have had an MRI with Q-land X-Ray (excellent service btw) I tried to ring I-Med Radiology Wesley to let them know prior to checking in and been sitting on the phone for 25 minutes with no one answering the phone. Trying to tell them about the recent MRI which I have a copy. So they don't try the same trick again. Had to hang up in the end. These people should be replaced with a patient friendly efficient competent outfit. Makes Wesley Hospital look bad reading all the negative reviews.

Quite disappointed with the IT service. No image or report was uploaded to my patient portal or practitioner portal after almost 24 hr of an urgent study. Getting an xray done quickly is not what matters, it's how quick a those xrays are reported and communicated with doctors / patients that matters.this was not my personal experience with IMED as a patient
