This is such a cozy little hole in the wall! We chose this because it looks like a welcoming home. The interior is so inviting and the wait staff are too polite for words! ☺ our server asked if I enjoyed the lobster bisque and I said, oh it was okay... and she gave me the MOM look and asked again and I said no, I'm sorry, I didn't like it. She said no problem, I'll remove it from your bill. I ordered the prime rib au jus and my son ordered chicken wings and fries. Husband ordered fried seafood platter. We loved it all and were very pleased. The icing on the cake was when we were done and the waitress asked if we'd like a 'Hoodsie'. We had no idea what that is. She said I'll bring it. Someone will eat it. What a pleasant surprise! It was individual ice cream cup with a wooden spoon. Spencer (my son) was so happy with it. It was chocolate and vanilla. 10/10 come here, you won't be disappointed! Thank you, Colonial House. You are our friends forever. ♥

The wait staff was fast and friendly. The prime rib I got looked nothing like the picture online. Talk about bait and switch!

The “Biggest Thank You” to the Colonial House” for a wonderful time Saturday evening celebrating my husbands birthday. The food, drinks, wine and staff were amazing!! The biggest “ THANK YOU “ goes to Linda, our server, who went above and beyond to ensure our guests were happy and attended to, She was just fantastic .. making sure all our needs were met ( and we had small kids with us) and Linda accommodated them with all the amenities they needed as well as the adults. From drinks to appetizers to entrees to desserts, Linda was “spot on “! Thank you, thank you, thank you for making Billy’s birthday a memorable and wonderful time! The Colonial House is the BEST and never disappoints!! See you all soon!😉

Great atmosphere, neighborhood restaurant. Friendly people visit here and the food is just outstanding. We had the broiled swordfish, mashed & butternut squash. Calamari as an appetizer too. I would recommend to all. Bring a small car, parking can be tight out back. This is in a residential neighborhood, not a main st.

After seeing a post of the pepperoni pizza on facebook... we had to go for ourselves. I got the cheese pizza and the boyfriend got baked stuffed haddock. Everything was delicious and I loved the pizza. Our waitress Linda was so pleasant and so efficient. Great dinner out and definitely will return 😋

Considering it was a Saturday night, we waited over an hour for the two meals. In the end I feel it was worth the wait. The prime rib was delicious and was a very large portion of meat. I would still consider going back here when Im in the area with ample time to wait for a healthy filling meal.

Enjoyed our plentiful dinners of marinated ny sirloin steak tips and haddock cecilia (spinach and cheese). Service was top notch.

Friendly, casual family-style restaurant. We enjoyed the fish and chips and the desserts were very ample portions and tasty. Our waitress was friendly and the food arrived hot. We arrived at peak time and the service was slow.

It has been a few years since we last visited, but the Colonial House NEVER disappoints!! The food was fantastic, and our server, who told she has worked there for 51 years, was as nice as it gets. Great New England ambiance, and great night. Highly recommend this restaurant!!

I can't praise the colonial house highly enough. While it isn't exactly easy to find, being located in a residential neighborhood, the food is great, especially the seafood, and they have some of the best service I've ever had. When my wife discovered that lobster bisque isn't too her taste (not downgrading then for that, they're was nothing wrong with it), they removed it from the bill without being asked, and we even learned what a Hoodsie is (being from Ohio, we weren't acquainted with the little ice cream cups) when the waitress have our son one for free. I wish I could give them a 10/5!

Love this place! The food is always fantastic. The staff is warm and pleasant. Laid back country atmosphere. Sometime there is a wait but well worth it.

The food was really good. We got onion rings and spinach artichoke appetizers and the salmon with mashed potatoes and butternut squash. I have no pictures because we were hungry and we dived right in. Everything was good. They had a hockey game playing at the bar area. We were sitting right by the fireplace. Really cozy place.

Our waitress was incredibly kind and the food was good. Its a small place really, but they have Keno and a pretty good bar pizza. A nice place to bring your family, it mostly attracts older people.

Could be great, but the booths are extremely small and uncomfortable.

I have been going to this restaurant for over 30 years and I have never been disappointed! Amy was very kind and we enjoyed sitting under the umbrella at nightfall. A lovely evening with the best prime rib I have had in awhile. Some places just have staying power!🌻

Friendly service and a nice atmosphere. I had the clam chowder which I enjoyed, also the broiled seafood combo. The stuffed shrimp was okay, as well as the scallops. The haddock was absolutely tasteless and I didn't eat it. I really enjoy a good old fashioned but the one I was served tasted nothing like an old fashioned not to mention it was 11.00 bucks. I wont be returning.

Food was excellent with good size portions. Staff was very friendly. Off the beaten path in a quiet neighborhood.
