Pros: ice cream always taste good Con: I seem to continue to get the cranky staff member when there are so many sweet staff available. Also, no one wears gloves when handling your food, nor are they wearing mask. There is always a line. I was super excited about trying a different Daddy’s Diary location (Norwood) but that changed when the only older woman there was supposed to help us, yet showed so much disinterest in doing so despite us smiling and trying to be nice. Not a happy customer.

The best of the best! Not just an ice cream store. It's an experience, worth the wait always

First time here and we will definitely be back! The line went out the door to this place! So many topping options and so many different kinds of soft serve and hard serve. The choices were endless! We got soft serve birthday cake with a chocolate covered waffle cone. The birthday cake was very unique almost vanilla with birthday cake extract and the sweetness level was perfect, not too sweet. With every bite you got sprinkles and their sprinkles were pretty tasty! They didn't taste like plastic which you get sometimes from adding sprinkles at some ice cream places. Delish! Black raspberry with jimmies oh my goodness! Their Jimmies (chocolate sprinkles) were the real deal! No plastic taste here! The black raspberry was more sweet than tart, but chocolate added to it? So yum! We inhaled our ice creams outside on these cute little park benches. Such a cute spot for couples and families!

Please avoid this place if you are a new customer. Our Son’s 1st birthday was Sunday (12/20), we ordered a $44 birthday cake from this place. We had no prior interaction or viewed the website to know it was an ice cream cake shop. We just wanted to support a local business as Norwood Residents. The cake we received had no ingredient description or allergy information. The cake was placed in a very tight (&small) cake box (plastic), which we could not open!. When it was time to use the cake at our event, it was all messed up, the design ruined (the cover was so tight, the design on top cracked, the inscription messed up) We called the Manager and was rudely asked " do you not put ice cream in the freezer?". Well, Manager if your cake had a label or your employee did their job right, we would have done that! Our point is considering we were just a walk-in customer without prior interaction with this place, we should have been told all cakes were ice cream cake and needed to be frozen not refrigerated! No one called us back when we requested a redesign or replacement. We had to cancel our 1-year-old baby's photoshoot and zoom birthday since there was no cake. The owner was equally worse too and pretty much said we were looking for free cake. I have not encountered more rude & unprofessional individuals! We will never come here again!

Come in once or twice per week. Tonight I was given chocolate water instead of a malted shake. Went back in and this young girl in a tie dye shirt and glasses rolls her eyes at me, tells me that’s how it always is, even though I’m in there in twice a week. She keeps arguing with her bad attitude and total lack of customer service skills and tells me she’ll make another one but I have to pay for it! Worst business decision ever made- my $32 per week for two trips for two chocolate milkshakes will never come back to your lousy customer service, poorly ran, punk attitude organization. I know hiring is tough but this poor excuse for a company representative is the best you can do? I think not. And I’m owed a refund so I’ll file a BBB complaint separately.

Amazing ice cream - I had the peanut butter caramel cookie dough and wow. It was delicious. Honestly glad we don't live too close to here because I would eat way too much ice cream way too frequently.

Super impressed! They had, by far, the most ice cream flavors I’ve ever seen in my life. I got a signature sundae and it was delicious! A little pricey but worth it because of big portion sizes. Such a cute locally owned ice cream shop, definitely check it out.

I grew up down the street from Crescent Ridge Dairy, before they sold ice cream. We received milk in a bottle, in a milk box on the front stairs. Then they started selling ice cream. I thought they were the best until I went to Daddy's Dairy, and had five flavors of soft serve and three flavors of vegan ice cream. Yes, vegan ice cream! I was completely blown away at the taste of the ice cream, the service was very pleasant and the large inside with some tables and chairs was really a nice visit! I'll be back!!!

So many options, you can always get something new here. They have pre-made ice cream sandwiches, cakes, and pints of alcohol infused ice cream which is delicious. They offer sundaes, frappes, shakes, and so much more, or you can choose one of their dozens of flavors and build up from there. They have cups, bowls, cones, waffle cones, dipped waffle cones, you name it. They are even dog friendly!

May you allow me to say, this is the worst ice cream I've ever had. I can't express how disappointed I am. The ice cream is horribly over priced and tastes like NOTHING . DO NOT get the soft serves they are literally like water. I'm actually in tears because of the money spent on the cinnamon toast flavor (DO NOT GET IT!) Cinnamon is my comfort flavor and this absolutely ruined. Thanks for a day ruined. The way their cone is more flavored than the ice cream.....

I'm a big fan! There are SO many options of both soft serve and hard ice cream. For those who may also be confused as to how there are so many flavors of soft serve, I think they add syrups to a base like vanilla. I got dulce de leche with chocolate sprinkles and it was good! Not as flavorful or creamy as I expected but it was still delicious and perfect for the summer weather. They have so many different toppings and colored sprinkles and varieties of ice creams, like frappes, sandwiches, sundaes, mix-ins, and so on. They also sell tipsy scoop ice cream and doggie ice cream which I will absolutely be coming back for. My only criticisms are the $10 card minimum (which I understand) and that the flavor of soft serve I got wasn't super creamy, but even still, I can't wait to go back

They have the best ice cream and the people that work there are always sweet and helpful. Even when the lines out the door. Colleen, the store manager, is amazing! And always makes me laugh!

I took my friend who's visiting from Panama for the experience of Norwood Farmer's Market and for ice cream at Daddy's. When we checked out I asked the nice young lady if I could use their restroom because I showed her my swollen feet and I was on meds to flush it out. I begged her if I could use their restroom knowing it wasn't public. She sweetly denied me and told me I could go to a McDonald's 3 blocks away. My friend loved her ice cream, but I won't go back because I am older and disabled and yet they turned me away. There.

What can I say. One of my favorite places on earth. Love their Extreme Chocolate ice cream sundae with hot fudge, whipped cream, and the awesome little skinny Jimmies. Line might be a but long at times but worth the wait. Yum. Yum. Yum.

Lots and lots of flavors! If you like variety, this is your place! They have hundreds of different soft serve flavors, and lots of hard ice cream too. I had banana peanut butter soft serve with butterfinger candy mixed in. Unusual to say the least, but I liked it. My friend had a banana split. It was good, but it wasn't the best he ever had. They also sell ice cream with liquor in it, and have vegan flavors. If you are looking for ice cream that tastes fresh and straight from the farm, this isn't your place. But if you like variety, you can come here time and again.

We stopped here for dessert on a vacation trip into the Boston area. I'd thought this would be a good place to grab some ice cream and enjoy something sweet after dinner. Sadly, several things really ruined this experience. First, the actual shop was a bit too warm. By the time each of us was handed our ice cream, it was already melting, which meant it was extremely difficult to keep ahead of that and not have a huge mess. For me, I ordered a red velvet soft-serve, but it did not taste at all of red velvet, as well. Overall, because the ice cream melted so quickly, we spent a good deal getting dessert, but were unable to eat much of it at all, and I would not return here as a result.

Their ice cream is delicious. They have an amazing amount of toppings and different treats, as well as flavors, both hard and soft serve. It's hit or miss if you'll get someone super nice or grumpy, but my girl was very sweet tonight so I'm being generous with the stars 🌟 😊

I’ve been here twice this week and the staff at this location is awesome! I brought my dog here both times for a pup cup and the young staff workers love the puppy so much! Their pup cup is vanilla ice cream with peanut sauce topped with a cut milk bone. I guarantee your pet will love it! They also have many flavors from dairy, sorbet, Italian ice, sundaes, etc. the possibilities here are endless. I enjoy this location because of how welcoming everyone is to you and clean this location is. You can bring your pet and put the treat on the floor without fear of other objects. Whenever the puppy and I walk by, we’ll make sure to come by!

1st time visit. Great selection of ice creams. Sugar free caramel pecan was probably the best sugar free ice cream I've ever had!! Got a kiddie scoop for kiddos I was with, and it was more than a single scoop at a lot of other stores. The staff though...beyond incredible. Interacted so kindly with the kids, getting bags and lids as I was short on hands. Can't thank them enough. This place was incredible and 12/10 recommend.

This place is one of my favorite places to go to for ice cream. And when anyone I know is having a birthday and I'm bringing cake, I go there and get their Oreo ice cream cake which is one of the best ice cream cakes I've ever had. They have ample outdoor seating and are right next to the Norwood common, so even if all the seats are taken (which they rarely are) you can go sit on the grass at the common. Someone's the lines are long and you will see them going out of the store but service is fast so the wait is around 15 minutes. Best part is, it's 5 minutes away from my house.

Daddy’s dairy is hands down one of the best ice cream places in Norwood, situated right in the heart of downtown Norwood. This has become one of our favorite local spots to grab ice cream be it during the day or late at night. The ice cream selection and choices with all the toppings will amuse you. They have all sorts of flavors and ice creams you can think of, from frozen yogurt to non dairy, no sugar to vegan, soft serves and of course your traditional hard ice cream. The base is your typical cup, cone/ waffle cone. The store is huge, clean and well organized. I’ve had black raspberry Oreo, chocolate chip, raspberry chocolate truffle and a few more. All of their flavors are delicious. It’s great to see all the necessary COVID precautions are in check at this location. Social distancing, face masks and cleanliness were spot on. There’s an outdoor seating area opened up though this might be temporary. If you’re in Norwood downtown, do try this place. You won’t regret it!

Although this is a chain it is well worth the experience. All ice cream is homemade and they have over 50 varieties of soft serve. Grab a half gallon of alcohol infused ice cream and it's a must win!

Lots of choices for flavors. Both hard and soft serve. Something for everyone. Personally I highly recommend coconut ice cream with chopped banana and pineapple. However it's ice cream so there are no bad choices.
