I stayed for over a month and the stuff is super friendly and helpful. The atmosphere of the hostel is awesome since it is oriented for people who are working and not partying. It is quiet and respectful. They clean the rooms twice and week. Our room for 6 females had two toilets inside which I found awesome. I would definitely go back.

Stayed here on multiple occasions, its my go to in manly! Staff are extremely helpful and always have a smile on their face. Rooms are very clean and have a great atmosphere. The location is close to shops and beach. I definitely recommend!

Great location. Great staff. Great facilities. Best hostel in Manly by far. Highly recommend to anyone looking to go to Sydney. Easy travel to wonderful places along the beach and a short ferry ride to the city. Stayed in a private room and dorm room, both were amazing, especially with the private bathrooms in both. Staff were extremely accomodating and assisted with my stay as well as things to do around the area. Thank you to everyone working.

I stayed at Manly Bunkhouse for 2 months and the accomodation was fantastic! It was a super social environment, and I made some lifelong friends in the room during my stay. Would 100 percent recommend anyone to stay here and the staff are absolutely amazing 10/10.

The Bunkhouse…! I started my year in Australia with a week there, great location and yet very quiet. The private garden is so peaceful… there’s always a few surfboards available for free if you want to give the local sport a try ;) When I came back to Manly I chose to stay there again, and ended up living there for 5 months. Don’t expect daily partying, as it’s a family place, ideal if you’re working in the area and still want to be close to the city. Parking in Manly can be a struggle but there’s free parking 5 min away. Every room has its own bathroom, the place is very cozy. The staff has always been kind and helpful to me, I left the country a week ago and I already miss the people and the atmosphere… Thank you for everything ! ❤️ Ps: long live the chicken parmi Tuesdays !!!

I had a private room with bathroom, I give this place 5 stars because, at such a cheap price compared to other places nearby, the room is just what I expected. It's small (as expected), but lovely staff, I feel there's enough privacy, and the location is awesome.

Best hostel not just in Sydney but of all Australia! Awsome staff, really helpful and kind. Two minutes walk from the beach. 15 minutes walk to grocery store. Really clean and tidy, confortable and cozy. Great place to meet new people and relax, but also a good place to stay if working. Really enjoyed my stay!

Nice, clean hostel in Manly. Located super close to the beach and is a great, affordable option. The hostel has a cozy and homely atmosphere and the staff are incredibly nice. The rooms have their own bathrooms and it is fairly small which means the kitchen is clean and never too crowded. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a place to stay in Manly!

I booked my 84 year old father in for a 9 week stay from Feb-Apr 23. He had a private en-suite room which included a small kitchenette (Room 5). The hostel is clean, has excellent facilities and is less than 5 min from the beach. My father thoroughly enjoyed his stay, the Bunkhouse team went above and beyond to make his stay comfortable. I would highly recommend this hostel.

Stayed here for over 3 months and everything worked out well. Good for individuals looking for a place to stay while working in Manly. Definitely more of a working hostel, which was right up my alley! Good location only a short walk to the beach. Staff was helpful when it came to extending our stay 😊 great for those on a backpackers budget looking to stay close to the town center! Would recommend to those on a working holiday visa in manly!

Brilliant place! I went there with my best friend for a holiday. I told them i was pregnant and they treated me amazingly. They cared about me and my pregnancy and helped me with everything I needed. They made me feel like home. Thank you very much 💟

Fantastic location and price especially in Manly and they accept and prefer longer stays which is great if staying for more than a couple of days. Amazing single rooms with there own kitchenette, t.v and private bathroom if wanting not to share a room. Shared Industrial kitchen with anything you can imagine utensil wise. The owners Mara and Jason went above and beyond and their hospitality was amazing. I've extended my stay in Sydney and booked another week here. I've definitely will be staying here when visiting Sydney in the future. I highly recommend Manly Bunkhouse 😁

One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed, and your best option if you’re looking for share accommodation in Manly. Bunkhouse is both central and peacefully located. Everything is clean and well looked after. The staff are lovely and the guests are friendly. With a big backyard, you can sit in the sun and feel quite at home. Always recommend it and find it a perfect temporary stay solution when I need. Tash

I love this place!!! The staff care so much about their guests and I felt really looked after. The building is old but kept very clean by the staff who put a lot of effort into cleaning and maintenance! There is a lot of character and detail in every corner of the place as it is an older building. I miss these staff and people so much!!! Thank you all for making my stay so special a few months ago❤️😊

Can’t really fault the place. I stayed two nights, everything was clean and tidy, staff were friendly and easy to communicate with. They’re doing really well providing a business and service in these challenging economic times. Will definitely be back.

At manly bunkhouse you get treated like family. I’ve stayed on and off throughout the year and there is no where else I would stay. Each room has its own private bathroom and great storage. Thank you for such great hospitality 💖

I stayed here for 6 months and they tried their best not to pay us back the 700 dollar bond we gave the day we left the hostel. Since the day we started to stay here, they said that the inside of the pillow we used with the cover was dirty and demanded 50 dollars from us, then they showed us the reason why the air conditioner did not work and charged us 162 dollars for the remote. They said that although I bought the same remote, this remote is not original, I want it original. lastly, they took 160 dollars off my $700 bond even though I was not guilty of anything. I really never thought I would have this much trouble. I do not recommend it to anyone, spend your money on better places. They helped me when I had a problem that I wouldn't be entitled to, and it was fine during my stay, but this money incident when we left the hostel really upset me. They didn't forget to offer ice cream on the last trip.😌

I had a lovely time at Manly Bunkhouse. The hostel is so cozy and everyone is very friendly. I stayed for over two months while doing a sailing course at middle harbour and the hostel really became my home. It is ideal to stay if you look for a warm, welcoming place while working or studying.

Easily the best hostel in the northern beaches, great staff who are very helpful and a homely feeling to the building. Would recommend to anyone especially if you are planning on a long stay.

I stayed at Manly BunkHouse twice for a long period of time Once last year and recently this year in July for 5 to 6 weeks. The staff is very friendly and caring and they make sure they look after their guests needs. The whole environment of Manly Bunkhouse is very friendly and homely, my experience with the other long term staying guests were very friendly and helpful. Will surely recommend everyone to experience your stay here short or long term it’s very close to the Manly Wharf and all the other essential services outlets are just a walking distance away also they have a nice courtyard at the back where you can relax under the sun and chill out with other house guests. Highly recommend. I was always treated very Kindly by Mara, Alicia, Joe and Joel. Wish you guys all the best for the hard work you put in to maintain the place. See you again sometime in future.

GREAT HOSTEL FOR NEW COMERS! Every one on the staff was really nice and the room was tidy, clean and cosy. The kittchen is small, but everything works great and you have plenty of space to store your stuff. Finally you can borrow surfing boards and snorkling gear. :)

The hostel is clean and has everything you need to have a comfortable stay. The owner is the nicest lady ever ! She goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and gave me brilliant information and advice about what to do during my days in Manly. Thankyou so much ❤️

I've stayed in many guesthouses and hostels over the years and this is right up there with the best of them. Good sized, clean rooms with comfortable beds (proper mattresses - not foam like so many have - and good quality) and an ensuite. I was there for just over a month and could not have been happier. It had a nice vibe during the day/evening but was peaceful at night - perfect to get a good sleep. The owners and staff were lovely - very helpful and polite. Location is excellent. In a quiet street but close to everything. Really enjoyed being so close to the beach and the cafes/restaurants. The other guests were nice too - good mix of young and old. I'll be back when I can. Highly recommended!

The place is not in good condition, the bathrooms are quite unpleasant. When I arrived, I didn't like it, and they also asked me for additional payments that were not stipulated. I made the decision not to stay. Unfortunately, since I paid in advance, they did not want to refund my money. RECOMMENDATION: do not pay in advance, go to the place first, look with your eyes, and make a decision. The reviews and stars are not 100% reliable.

I stayed in the bunkhouse for 3 weeks, I encountered a new cockroach every day in my first room. In my 2nd week, I moved to a new room, by the way my shirt and shampoo disappeared, maybe it's my fault i don't know. after the final cleaning for my room, The sheet on my bed was a little torn, of course it was a little more torn after using it for a week and they charged me $50 for an already torn sheet.

I spent a good chunk of time here while working in Northern Beaches. Great location short walk to the beach, main bus stops and within walking distance to the Corso(shops) and the ferry to get to Darling Harbour. The staff are amazing, very friendly and always willing to help you out :)

The cleanliness of the rooms was good. The kitchen was not clean and it was very crowded. The common area was nice, but the closing time of the common area was early. I stayed for 1 month and the price increased 3 times.
