Thanks to Kylie and Emma who were super helpful in the lead up to our Xmas Party and on the night. The area was great, the food was yummy and plentiful and we'll certainly go back for future events.

Our recent "Stand up for Brain Cancer" fundraiser was hosted at the Forest Hotel. We hosted 205 people and 4 comedians and raised much needed funds for a beautiful local family. Kylie and the team at the Forest Hotel were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, they were as much a part of the night as the guests. Communication, assistance, food, lighting, sound , staging.... everything was perfect.

I cannot compliment the Functions Manager Kylie and her staff enough for the professional manner in which they managed the Dining in Night for 201 Army Cadet Unit. Nothing was too much trouble, the food was beautifully cooked and served and everything went without a hitch. We will be booking again for next year.

I had my birthday party in the Stag Room recently. The staff was amazingly helpful throughout the organisation of the event, from the moment the place was booked way back in August and they were great help during the night looking after everything in a quiet professional manner. Outstanding, elegant and professional. Highly recommend the place for any type of event.

I was enjoying a soccer game and i ordered some food because i was hungry and i have been waiting for my food for over 2 hours and i even went to the staff to ask and they said that my food would come in 10 minutes and i was still sitting her e waiting for another 20 minutes (mind you this was only a kid’s cheeseburger ) so my advice from this is to get on top of your orders and make sure you customers are been feed and not left going home without eating, do better. (nice bathrooms and facilities tho)

My old school mates got together here for lunch and a catch up. We all enjoyed the food but the desserts were amazing. This is the third time we've used this venue and we are planning a reunion of sorts there in May. We've found that the dining area gets quite busy and it can be difficult to hear each other (we're in our 60s) but it's still worth it. There's plenty of parking. It's a block from Northern Beaches Hospital and I've used it before as a break space when visiting patients. The toilets are clean and accessible. There are indoor and spaces and a dedicated sports area. The staff are polite and helpful. There is the option to order from the QR code on the table but we've found that the service is faster if you order in person. There is easy access for people of all mobility levels. There are some vegetarian options but little for vegans. I've not had experience here dealing with food sensitivity/allergy issues. This is a family friendly venue with a very safe looking kids play area. A nice set up that I recommend.

The food was fantastic, and the prices for lunch good value drinks were also served quickly. The staff is friendly and attentive. Nice day out

We reserved the "Stag Area" in the terrace bar for a birthday party on a Saturday afternoon. It's a great location, as there's undercover and outdoor tables, plus heaters if the weather is cold and private access to the main bar. Hot canapes and pizza slabs were delivered on time and food quality was excellent.

We celebrated our son's 18th birthday party in June, and I can't thank the staff enough for their outstanding service. They truly went above and beyond to ensure the event went seamlessly and that all our requests were met. From the initial planning stage to the actual event, the staff were incredibly accommodating to our requests and were attentive to every detail. Can't fault the food either, chef even came out to greet our son. I can not recommend our host Audrick highly enough for his exceptional service and warm accommodation. Throughout the party, he has been very flexible and efficient. He coordinated everything flawlessly, allowing us to fully enjoy the party without having to worry about anything.

Great atmosphere, relaxed and easy to chat to people without feeling overcrowded. Food was great but the standout was the service. Lucas was amazing - helpful, easy going but still went the extra mile- That man deserves a raise!

Very slow service and no forethought when two football finals are on a Friday night they only have 1maybe 2 bar staff serving. Not good enough. Bar manager should be prepared and have enough capable bar staff to avoid a long line. Same with food service. Be prepared please when you know it's a busy night

A hotel it is not! But a wonderful cafe it is! Great venue for parents with kids. They have a playground for kids which is great. You have got to check out the menu for yourselves. I had lamb shanks which I would grade a 9.

Went here for the second time on a Friday night (17/11) Nice venue, good ambience, decent food. A special shout out to the gentleman behind the bar taking orders who was outright rude. A simple, hi, how are you? Or Hi, what can I get for you is not a lot to ask for. It’s very basic customer service. Your rudeness made our experience so memorable that I’ll never visit again.

My friend was at a Christmas party here. They had a bar tab, and therefore, all of his group had a wristband...he saw a person without a wristband in the group and removed them for their reserved area. The manager then approached with security and removed my friend from the venue. Maybe next time the manager could focus more on her job and ensure people don't enter the wrong area rather than removing my friend for doing her job for her.

The Forest Hotel never disappoints. From the moment we met with Kylie the Functions Manager to organise our work Christmas party event, we were in exceptional hands. Kylie and the hotel chef put together a scrumptious menu based on our budget. The taste of the food exceeded the delicious look of the food. Kylie collaborated with us on the room layout and was extremely helpful with suggestions. On the day the event we were blown away at how lovely the room had been decorated. The bar staff were very friendly and helpful. We have had 2 major work events at The Forest Hotel and both events were a huge success. We would have no hesitation booking our next function at The Forest Hotel.

Went there yesterday for dinner. My chicken parmigiana was warm, probably reheated in microwave and was so chewy and not tasty. I vomited at 1:30am this morning, still my stomach hurts from the vomiting. Purple carrots also does not look well presented. Not coming back.

Great spot for children to play. Found veggie &GF options scarce, food over priced and slow to arrive bearing in mind how quiet it was at 6pm. But very convenient for an easy mid week meal!

Had a meal at this new pub (formerly known as the Parkway Hotel for the past four or so decades OR as The Antler Hotel when it was built then opened in the early 1960’s)…I was impressed not only by the new look of this venue both indoors and outdoors - especially the children’s playground next to the outdoor beer garden, but also the fine quality of the food we all consumed. Whether you are a local resident, working in the Frenchs Forest area or passing through on the way to the rest of the Northern Beaches (or heading back to other parts of Sydney or other areas of Australia), I recommend stopping by to have a meal or a drink at The Forest Hotel !

I had the best service experience from two staff at The Forest yesterday. In particular, Sasha taking our food order - not only did she handle a number of changes to menu due to allergies but continued to check on us during and after our meal to ensure everything was perfect - well above "pub" service. Followed by Audric on Bar who was full of energy, friendly and simply appeared to be happy to be at work. Have experienced the same from Marnie on previous visits. As an employer I can only say well done to the staff and congratulations to The Forest management team for having a great group of staff.

We’ve been to The Forest Hotel many times. Had great meals, laughs with friends and too many drinks. But on this occasion I had a Caesar Salad with Salmon. I should have just gone to Woolies and bought a head of Cos lettuce. I got no only the leaves but I got then stem (whole). The Caesar dressing was running. Nothing like I expected and have had in other restaurants. Hope it was a one time only.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Forest Hotel, and I must say that the bar staff made my experience truly exceptional. From the moment I walked in, their professionalism, attentiveness, and welcoming atmosphere were evident. I want to highlight one particular staff member who stood out above the rest. Sam, the bartender at The Forest Hotel, is a true master of his craft. What sets Sam apart is his ability to create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for guests. He possesses a rare talent for striking the perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness. It was evident that Sam genuinely cared about ensuring a delightful experience for everyone. The Forest Hotel itself is an enchanting establishment, but it is the extraordinary efforts of individuals like Sam that truly make it shine. He is an asset to the establishment and embodies the spirit of exceptional hospitality.

The new menu was tasteful and the place looks awesome. Kid-friendly and the place/parking looks secure enough. Gives you a whole vibe whether you seat inside/outside. Winter time has the heaters on full blast so no need to worry about that. Compliments to the Chefs inside who serves us tasty wings, truffle fries, different types of pizza and calamari’s. Would recommend specially if you have occasions with family and friends.

Visiting from America I wasnt sure what to expect. Went here to celebrate my niece's birthday and had a great time. The chefs Ryan, Kat, and Peach served up a delicious spread. My wife loved the tender Calamari and their cocktails are quite yummy, especially the The Forrest. There is a kids play area, and in a separate area there is a bar and pool tables as well as different televised sports events. Would definitely recommend it for any occasion, whether it be casual dinning or celebrating any event.

Was very impressed. Well designed, well built. Had a really good feel to it. I'll be back !!!

Visited mid for lunch. Great seniors meals @ $15. Food quality excellent, hot & fresh. Staff attentive, very pleasant and well trained. Highly recommend.

Great ambiance and food. We went for a family birthday dinner, 5pm on a Monday so was not too busy! Big serves. Good quality. Comparatively priced. Friendly and helpful staff. We'll be going back for sure! Happy customers

Great new venue. Haven't eaten there yet but I've been there a couple of times to meet friends for a quick drink. The beer is fresh, service is friendly and efficient. If they keep the quality as consistent as I've seen they will have a very successful business and and a great social hub that was really needed in the area.

First time I went here was when it had first opened. Service and food was poor. I thought I would try it again after a friend said they had a positive experience. It was a Friday night so super busy. Food took a bit longer than expected but like I said it was very busy. The food was exceptional. I had the meat lovers pizza and it was delicious!! We will be back!!

Went to the Forest last night for State of Origin, the atmosphere of the new place is great. They were really busy but all the staff were so friendly and let me know there would be a wait on food, once it arrived it was well worth the wait. I'll definitely be back!!

The food is awesome, reasonably priced and you don't wait forever to get yourfood, even when it's really busy! It has a great vibe! The outside area is a fantastic place to catch a game and have a few drinks with your mates! Great family place even though it can get really noisy when it is busy!
