Have been here several times. Love the atmosphere, especially during the winter months. It's just so cozy and gives off a very zen vibe. This is my absolute favorite restaurant to go to.

We loved the Shrimp & Crab Cake along with the mushroom & truffle flat bread. Would also highly recommend the Artichoke & Crab Dio. The environment is serene with the perfect view of along Lake!!

This restaurant in a stand-alone building right on the lake with ample parking space and even valet parking. It's the perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a special celebration. The interior of Birch's exudes a cozy, clean, and tasteful decor that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. What truly sets it apart is the low noise level, allowing for intimate conversations and a relaxed dining experience. The staff is incredibly attentive, friendly, and well-versed in the menu. They provided excellent recommendations and made sure our dining experience was one to remember. Their dedication to making guests feel welcome is truly outstanding. Birch's offers a delightful fusion of American and Italian dishes, with an extensive menu featuring everything from succulent steaks to delectable seafood and fresh salads. We sampled a variety of dishes, and each one was a flavor explosion. The presentation is on par with upscale dining venues, and the portion sizes are incredibly generous; you definitely won't leave hungry. Birch's also boasts an impressive beer selection, and their cocktails are top-notch. The prices range from $30 to $50, which is well worth it for the quality of food and service you receive.

So... I was a little disappointed. The view and atmosphere were great. It was honestly a perfect evening to eat outside but the food was medicore. A bit overpriced. My colleague got the tacos - it comes out with 2. I ordered the Tuna bowl. While there were several things in the bowl that have great flavor, there's too many items in it that are bland that it ended up being unbalanced. It was a boring dish. The server was okay, she was kind of rude. We didn't order dessert (but we had a couple beers), and she acted like we didn't order enough. No plans to return.

Positives: The view is inarguably great, hosts and server were friendly and professional, the beer is quality (Malbec and Hazy IPA) were excellent, and the building and patio are very nice, although the walk to the dock is a steep one and could use a set of stairs. Negatives: 1-star food at 5-star prices. I ordered the prime rib and scallop sliders (came recommended by the server), which looked unappetizing and I couldn't believe there were 2 small sliders for a $23 meal. The portion of the scallop and prime rib on each slider was embarrassingly small and poorly cooked, and the sauce was bland and over-applied. I'd come back for the view and a pint, but no way I'd ever order food here again.

Service was a step ahead! From the moment we walked in and down the stairs we were welcomed and the atmosphere is awesome. We sat right down around a game table with our own fireplace and a beautiful view of the lake. The food was great. The kids had pancakes and a burger, I went in for the halibut tacos and the wife took part of the salmon bowl. All was delicious. We jumped in for the peaches and cream and blood orange beers. Both were very tart, but pleasant.

This is a really nice relaxing place with the best lake view of Long Lake. The food is pretty good too. I haven't had anything I didn't like. They are known for their fried chicken and I don't eat chicken on the bone. Here, I did and a friend said that must be some pretty good fried chicken if you ordered it. It really was good. I also have the mushroom flatbread as well as the prime rib eggs benedict. The people are friendly and it has a "day at the cabin" feel about the place. It's relaxing and it's like you're in the country. Sometimes they have a fire going outdoors. The mac and cheese is really good as well.

Super cute place on the water. It was our first stop when we got into Minnesota. The view from the patio is gorgeous and very comfortable even went out of their way and installed a motorized overhang just in case it does rain, definitely a perfect touch. The employees were kind and attentive. We ended up getting the ribs and the walleye. All in all the food was good. The ribs did seem like the ribs you get anywhere, nothing truly special, and as far the walleye the fish still had its bloodline and bones in it not what I would expect from a premium price place. The atmosphere was fantastic. The food left something to be desired a little bit more attention to detail, and I think they would have it perfect.

I enjoyed the atmosphere downstairs in the brewpub. The beer was beer than expected. The beer menu had a reasonable selection to choose from. The food menu is overpriced, and tends to be on the "heavier" side in terms of richness. Sole healthier menu options would be welcomed. The service was friendly and prompt. Prices are slightly high.

Hands-down the most underwhelming takeout experience I’ve ever had living in the Twin Cities. We can’t think of one positive to say about the food. This is one star food at five star prices. We ordered three items. First off, the presentation was deplorable. A supper club wedge salad looked like a head of lettuce was tossed into a box with less than a teaspoon of blue cheese crumbles and a smashed cherry tomato. The meatloaf sandwich was not good and came with a side of coleslaw that we took one bite of and threw immediately into the trash. It was completely flavorless. Wings were so tough that those also were thrown away. This place is horrible.

First time here on a warm day 11 October 2022. We sat outside overlooking the lake. Great lunch with walleye sandwiches, and fries with the local IPA. Doesn't get a whole lot better.

Warm and inviting dining room with great elevated views of Long Lake. The menu is all over the board offering things like cheese curds and tacos alongside options like Lobster Risotto and Beef Wellington, review before you visit. Service was exceptional adding to the overall experience. Recommend checking them out if you’re in the area, we’ll be back. Went back to visit the Brewhouse downstairs for Happy Hour. Fabulous beers and incredible specials - it’s a must!

We had a group of 8 and not a single person was disappointed. The service was amazing - extremely pleasant, quick to assist, just perfect all around. Everyone at our table thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Speaking for me - I had the Mediterranean salad add chicken and it was vibrant, fresh, and full of flavor. The restaurant itself is a beautiful setting that is rustic yet chic and affords amazing lake views. We weren’t even seated in a table with a view but that didn’t matter because the ambiance was enough to please on its own. Truly here you will find a five star experience - I am confused by some of the previous bad reviews, perhaps someone was having a bad day.

Great experience in a group of 10. Service was excellent, everyone enjoyed their meals. Even on a cloudy gray day the view of the lake is still nice. Be hungry when you come or enjoy leftovers. The portions were huge.

Had a rough start to our dinner last night, but it was quickly & professionally handled correctly by management and our server. The food & drinks were fabulous & the atmosphere was top notch! I highly recommend the Crab Artichoke Dip app & the Halibut. Our desserts were excellent, we ordered the Crème Brûlée & Pumpkin Cheesecake. Beautiful view of the Lake as well! A must visit restaurant for the Wayzata area :)

We've been going 3-4 times a year for a few years. We've gone for brunch, lunch, and dinners. The property is nice, love the brew house and upper dining areas. The fires add a nice touch when they're going. Disc golf in the winter, as well as the dog sledding events are good for variety. Both the service and food is generally good, though consistency could be improved on both accounts. Staff can be either great or inattentive and outright unknowledgeable. We've had some of the best french fries and mashed potatoes around from here. Sometimes it seems like you get a half serving or a really small potato though which can be disappointing when paying $10+ for a side item. I don't mind it when it's the proper basket of fries as you would expect, but once we were brought a small soup sized plate they said was normal. Burgers can be great, though sometimes overcooked. They have a good flavor to them though. Brisket in the summer is also great, just make sure to ask for the garnished items on the side or the pickled juices seep into other items. They offer breakfast items off the menu and a buffet. When made off the menu they are very good, but come very early for the buffet as they tend to stop early. In house beers are quite good as well.

The food was good and the view is really nice!! It was a little confusing, as far as where to go: where host tables are, where bathrooms are, etc. Maybe because it's a brewery + restaurant, they just have a lot going on. That being said, there are many different options for seating and I would love to check out the brewery more next time. Pros and cons. But overall, really nice experience.

First time here and the place did not disappoint! We came in late on a Sunday so there's not a lot of people. The place is very nice with the gorgeous view of the lake! I started with the sautéed calamari and it was delicious then I had the salmon quinoa bowl which was also very good. My husband had the classic bolognese which was also very good. Too bad I forgot to take pictures of them (too hungry)! For dessert, we had the chocolate stout cake and the crème brûlée apple pudding which were both delish! Lastly, all the staff were very friendly! My husband and I both decided this is one of our favorite places we'be been!

Very grateful we stumbled upon this place. Beautiful supper club in the upper level and casual brewery-with full menu- in the lower level. Can’t say enough how we enjoyed the food and service here. Kiddos to our bartender Jason👏👏

Amazing food! Try the walleye cakes. And George is one of the best artists I’ve listened to live, this guy knows his stuff. They have an outdoor patio, access to the lake, and great bartenders. Try the martini, it’s killer. The lobster risotto is killer.

We frequently go there. Never have surprises. Always great service, very good food and the location is wonderful and relaxing. Fried chicken, walleye fish and chips, fish tacos, hot crab artichoke dip and cheese curds are so good. Very great 🍺 and 🍷 options as well.

We have been here several times. Love the atmosphere, especially during the summer months. We love the patio and the view of the lake. Oysters and flatbreads are highly recommended.

Menu is not vegan or vegetarian friendly at all. This is some of those restaurants who are yet to entertain diversity when it comes to food. No consideration for vegetarians or vegans. Thankfully they had 2 options that I could have gone for and I went for the salad on recommends of the server. I checked with my entire party who are not vegetarian and as per them food was Ok. Same with my salad, could have been better. Lot of families were there for dinner which makes it very family friendly. Besides being on the lake, there was nothing unique about the menu or the restaurant. Maybe it would have been 4 stars if I was not a vegetarian. Service: 4 Stars Taste: 3 Stars Ambience: 3 Stars Quantity: 5 Stars Vegan/Veg Options: 1 Star Value for Money: 3 Stars

The beer was amazing. Stouts and the Coffee Ale especially. She loved the sours most. The Brewhouse was fantastic. The Supperclub is always disappointing and too expensive. Happy hour is the best time to go; $4 beers and cheap food. Any other time and the Brewhouse menu is too expensive. The beer now isn't the same. They said that the recipes changed and it shows. The Brewhouse is now not enjoyable since they moved Lowertown's furniture over.

We came here for a date night on a Friday for my husband’s birthday (which they don’t do any dessert or anything for). We originally had a reservation but then cancelled it as we wanted to sit outside & they don’t take reservations for the patio. Unfortunately, we still weren’t able to sit on the patio because of how busy it was, which is understandable given the day/time we went. It was also a very overstimulating environment, but that’s also understandable. We sat inside in the “seat yourself” area. It took 10+ min for any server to see us at our table, but when the server did come he apologized for the wait. The server was quite slow to come back every time, but I think he was new, so I can give him some grace for that! He had a great attitude and we never saw him not smiling 🙂 The tables in the dining area were very close together.. so close that our backs were touching the backs of those at the tables behind us and we had to get up in order for them to get out of their chairs. For drinks — We got the Berry Crush cocktail which was great, not too strong & satisfyingly sweet without being straight sugar. We also had a Hazy IPA which was just what you’d expect for a Hazy. For entrées — We got the Truffle Mushroom Flatbread and the Fried Chicken Sandwich. They were both very, very good 😍🤤 I’d get the Flatbread again and again. It wasn’t too oily and the flatbread itself was nice & crispy without being too hard or soggy. The cheese/mushroom/bread ratios were great. I was able to finish all of about 2 slices on my own. The Fried Chicken Sandwich was also delicious, much better than ones we’ve had at other restaurants. It had a good kick but wasn’t too spicy. The coleslaw was subpar. The fries were also good quality fries. We had the Keylime Cheesecake for dessert which we did not finish 😕 It was VERY tart and very heavy on the lime. It was also more expensive than Redstone’s Keylime Cheesecake, whose portion is MUCH larger & quality/taste is much higher. We would not get this from again. They also have free valet for everyone, which we didn’t know beforehand, but made it kind of confusing. There were also tables around us that had kids who made very large messes on the carpet. Obviously the bussers cleaned the tables once the families left, but they didn’t seem to have any vacuums or brooms to clean the piles of food off the carpet before the next groups were sat.. I would just expect higher quality than that for the prices here.

A nice place, especially for sunset. Asked for a seat next to the window which was very nice. Service was great! Only thing is that there are no vegan options. I modified the quinoa bowl, but would be nice if the restaurant can offer one vegan option which can be very simply done!
