A lively public space dominated by its beautiful neo-Gothic Town Hall. There are lots of nice shops, pubs and cafes in the vicinity and the cathedral is just a few strides away. The Tourist Information Office is next to the Town Hall - I always find them very helpful - and open-top bus tours of the city normally run from here. I especially love coming here when the Christmas market is on; the atmosphere is so vibrant and there are many tempting stalls. Looking forward to visiting the new development and indoor market when it's finished.

Large open space outside the town hall. There are a series of benches on the opposite side that sit in the shade under the trees - perfect for when it's particularly sunny. There is also a bronze sculpture of an elephant that was donated by Chester Zoo located here.

Went on 17/04 Food market was on and it was so nice to see a bit of life back in the centre.

Looking abit of a mess at the moment with alot of building work going on near by but should look great when it is all done.

Quite peaceful at night, even on a Friday. Lovely area to sit, relax, and just watch the world go by.
