love it here, take my German sheoard puppy on his lead each morning when I'm not away. dog bin at the front and also in the carpark round the corner so has enough spaces to park. in the village ,near local pubs and post office shame some dog walkers don't used the dog bins each time.... respect where other people go with their dogs and children please and close the gates when going through, surposed to be for permit users how live in the village but they don't get checked

If you live in Hawarden you can go to the Estate Office on the main road, opposite the big gates to the park, and they'll give you a free permit for the permit holders only bits of the woods

Excellent place to walk. Keep dogs on leads when sheep are in the Park. Some areas available to Permit Holders only.

Fantastic place to take the kids. Great views and a relatively safe area.

Beautiful place and I want to rate it higher, we just didn't see enough. First time there, our dog couldn't go into the woods as the dog flap was too small in the fence hop-over bit. Everywhere else seemed to be permit holders only. The bits we did see were lovely and very well cared for and we probably will go back.

Nice walk but very disappointed that you couldn't get upto castle which should be sign posted at gates as you enter that it's closed off. Also fact you can walk into woods without a permit
