We were looking for a locally owned small cafe or restaurant and not a corporate chain like Weatherspoons. We were so happy to find this place. It's much larger than you expect inside, the decor inside is very nice. The staff were perfect, very friendly and attentive. Food was excellent, great choice and great quality. I'd definitely recommend and although we don't live in the UK anymore, if I'm in Chester again I'll be coming back. Thank you for the great service 👍

Wonderful places, beautiful, great food and amazing service. One of the most recommended restaurant to eat in Chester. We got bad weather, so we spent from lunch time to tea time inside, chill with great background music. Prices are about 8-12£. Food it's something like Italian homemade. Nice options to coffee and tea.

Had lunch here yesterday. What a gem. Please book, always busy by the looks of it we were in Chester for the day. Staff where very friendly the interior is quirky and lovely. Had the vegetarian breakfast was delicious, was also great that tea is served in a pot with china cups and you get more than one cup out of the pot. Had a delicious dessert too and an espresso Martini with a shot of hazelnut. Delicious the best I have had. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Chester to eat here was lovely. Will definitely be returning again.

Simply great food cooked well, in a convivial restaurant ambiance. Plenty to choose from including good variety of options for those with special dietary requirements. I am looking forward to returning here soon.

Was looking for a decent eggs benedict/Florentine for our stay in Chester and we definitely found it! Great vibes and plenty of vegan/vegetarian friendly recipes. Also full of cook books which I loved flicking through whilst waiting for my food.

Lovely little place. Vegetarian burger is really nice and different to usual burgers as it came in pitta bread. Fries were moreish. Would like to go back asap.

Loved this cafe, I had the California, my wife had the Sweet Potato hash, and the kids had the mini breakfast. Nice coffee to go with it, and kids enjoyed their smoothies - a great range of options for them. All meals were excellent. Really tasty, and good value. Would thoroughly recommend coming here for brunch.

There weren't too many vegan options on our visit, but still a decent amount considering the kitchen caters to all. The vegan dinner I had was wonderful, the celeriac steak, whilst my partner had a regular steak which he really enjoyed. The atmosphere was great, and the bathrooms were immaculate. Also, the Staff were SO lovely.

I recommend it! although the cafe is not big, it is very cozy. The taste of the dishes is such that you want to lick the plate 😁 this place became my discovery! Thanks to all the staff.

Lovely little restaurant with friendly staff, great service and good food. We went for dinner as part of a little pre Christmas trip to Chester. The small plates were delightful. We had the focaccia, meatball and fried lasagna. Every item was lovely… and I’ve definitely been inspired to deep fry my lasagna in future! We had the onglet, bhaji burger and broccoli tagliatelle for mains. The onglet was delightful, but I didn’t regret my choice (the tagliatelle). The mango ketchup that came with the bhaji burger was too sweet for us, but I’m sure it would have suit those who have a sweeter palate. If we had extra stomach space, I would have loved to try the lasagna (because the fried version was so nice!) Nothing wrong with the dessert per se, but they were the weakest course… which was a little odd. The chocolate crème brûlée was fine but nothing to write home about … while the sticky toffee pudding was not the right texture for me. The coffees were delightful though!! Overall, this was a good find! I’d love to go back during the day and try their brunch - the Malaysian in me is intrigued by the chai tow kway & paratha (the description is that for chai tow kway so not sure where the paratha comes in, but I wanna try it!!)

Great breakfast spot. Interesting and tasty menu, plus the usuals. Highlander take on Eggs Benedict (with haggis) a winner. Excellent quality food, cooked well. Good value.

Another lovely meal ..... the chicken wings were even better than I remembered, and the meatballs were lush. My friends loved the turkey burger. GUTTED Lasagne was off the menu, though! Baileys hot chocolate was perfect and just the job. Great service as always, great price and I will be back again very soon.

Lovely. Best cooked breakfast enjoyed here on 4-12-23 in many a year. Recommended by a friend who lives in Chester for excellent vegetarian options. Did not disappoint, spoilt for choice on a celebratory weekend 🙂 Enjoyed wild mushroom. Highly recommend

Lovely small cafe away from the busy main centre of Chester. Breakfast was so good and they are very accommodating if you want to change it slightly. All cooked to perfection. Will definitely visit again when I'm next in Chester

Very tasty food (best full English!), can add allllll the extras, and service with a smile! The chef forgot the black pudding but just mentioned it to the waitress and it was fixed before I’d even buttered my bread! Lively selection of tasty breakfasts too!

Absolutely delightful hidden gem! We arrived just moments before they were closing the kitchen and nothing was too much trouble. The spicy chicken burger was delicious and the homemade chips were perfect. Gorgeous little outside space to enjoy it and excellent service too! Highly recommended.

One of the best breakfasts I've had in while, we stumbled across the completely by accident as it was right next to the car park. My wife had the 'The med' and I had the breakfast tacos, both of which were incredible. Would definitely come here again.
