Massive portions, great tasting food. We visited on a busy Friday night but we were straight to our booked table. Fast, friendly service, we were never left waiting. Only negative is that tips given by card are not passed on to the staff. I don't like that....

Step inside this restaurant and you feel you are in Italy already! We loved our food and were very happy to see they provided smaller portions for many of the dishes which allowed us to try more things. The service was perfect and very quick until the point that we finished our food. Not sure why after that even though they could see we were waiting for getting the bill and paying, we had to wait for more than 15 minutes, so one star is dropped for that. Also, they did not accept tips by card which was strange given that it's a family-run business. Still, I'd definitely recommend the place for its cosy Italian vibe and great food.

Absolutely authentic experience from start to finish. From the Italian family welcome at the door to the flourish of ground pepper, this place delivered on every front. Watching the chef work the pizza dough reminded me of everything that is great about Italian traditions. Real gem and should not be missed.

Excellent meal at very reasonable prices. We hadn’t booked but they squeezed us in as the restaurant was incredibly busy. The service was fantastic, the staff worked together so well and the food was cooked to perfection so much so I couldn’t bare to waste any and brought it home with me. We shared a tiramisu which was also incredible. We would both return.

This was our first visit to this hidden away gem in Chester. Friendly and professional staff, great atmosphere, food arrived in a timely fashion and was superb! The wine selection was great in this no nonsense family run restaurant. We enjoyed our experience so much we've rebooked for our anniversary. Highly recommended if you're visiting Chester and looking for somewhere to eat, would recommend booking in advance however as they were super busy.

Worst Italian restaurant in Chester. Booked table for 20:45, arrived on time with family and kids, sorry we not have a table at the moment, waiting over 20 min. They offer to us seating area on the back of restaurant you have to go outside and go round, we have a concern if this place will be warm for us, because was only a tent, don't worry we have heater above your table, ow sorry but heater not working kids was cold. Tent was dirty and untidy. Food was terrible. We had a bad experience won't recommend for anybody. Also made few pictures to proof the point.

I booked this place for my wife's birthday dinner and must say it was worth every penny. The staff were exceptional and a laugh. They had charisma and would chat if you wanted. They really go the extra mile. The food was to die for and a real true taste of Italy. The decor felt like you was in Italy on the med or adriatic. Amazing selection of drinks and food. There is literally something for everyone. You deffo need to book in advance, by a few weeks or as early as you can as you just won't get a table as a walk in if your passing. I highly recommend to everyone to come visit this place.

Recommended by my tutor. Didn’t come with any particular expectations, but it turned out to be amazing! Excellent food and service! Larrrrge portions with reasonable prices :) Takes about 20 mins to serve the dishes. Zucchine Ripiene is super warm and tender ❤️ Roasted courgette filled and topped with different cheeses. The sauce was light but really good. Tagliolini Mare e Monti blended the taste of mushroom, scampi, cream and tomato perfectly together. Could be better if it has a bit less salt. Tiramisu is soft, and not too much sugar - just about the right. Really love the mascarpone cheese!

We went on a very busy Saturday afternoon but everything was well organised and we went to our table straight away. We both had pizza and they were fantastic!. Also very good value for money, cheaper than most Italian restaurants! Staff were helpful and friendly. Excellent !

Great atmosphere as soon as you walk in! Staff very friendly and quick service! Someone did stand over the table with the card machine very soon after us receiving the bill, so felt a little pressured to exit! Food was lovely but pasta was quite oily so I couldn't really eat what was on the bottom of the dish. Had to soak it up with a napkin..

From the very first warm welcome to the smiling handshake from Marco saying goodnight, this has to be one of the friendliest - and authentically Italian - restaurants anywhere. The ambience inside is typical of a trattoria, all bustle and laughter. The seating is close together but this again just adds to the authenticity. There is a good wine selection available but the house red was pleasant and cheap. We ordered a pizza and a pasta dish, both came quickly, freshly cooked, piping hot, delicious, and really huge. In the kitchen we could see the chefs spinning pizza dough by hand. Can't wait to visit again!

This review is base on city center restaurants. Visited early evening Wednesday, the place was almost full. The ambience was good- with an authentic feel, the food delicious and service prompt. We were greeted in Italian- with many of the staff being such. I always want restaurant food to be better than I cook at home...and happily it was.

Absolutely loved the atmosphere and vibe here, it felt very authentic Italian! The service was quick and extremely friendly. To top it off, the food was absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend booking as there were people waiting and people entering the restaurant and told there would be a 30 minute wait - this was on a Thursday evening.

Had a wonderful dinner here. This is a fantastic little Italian restaurant. The portions were a good size for a great price and everything came out super quickly. We had the caprese salad and bruschetta to start and then the calzone and prosciutto pizzas. The only small thing I will say is that due to the closeness of other tables it is very loud, especially if there are a lot of birthdays. We were ok with this but it's something to note if you get overwhelmed by sound easily or want a quiet dinner to talk.

Traditional Italian recommended word of mouth, didn't disappoint a little set back off the main street and some steps , didn't see any wheelchair access though. Friendly happy staff, asked if we had an allergens before our order was taken, lots of choice and we liked how you could see the food being prepared/cooked. We did have starters also.

Brilliant food, walked in on off chance and on Halloween the place was heaving, fabulous atmosphere without being too noisy. We were immediately made welcome by Dario the manager, the waiting staff were great, a really good wine list, but the food was beyond amazing. We discovered this place by chance on our third visit to Chester this year. OMG we won’t go anywhere else in future. What a fantastic find.
