The staff went above and beyond for our weekend stay. Barker family 3 rooms 7 people. On arrival only 1of our 3 rooms booked and paid for via booking . Com had been invoiced to the hotel. The staff were amazing finding 2extra rooms for us and getting them serviced and available. They made our whole weekend memorable we will be back soon and ensure we book direct. Please thank all your wonderful staff.

I stayed here for one night, had to leave early so missed breakfast. They have small tablets on the tables in the bar to order food from which work quite well. Food was average but acceptable. Room was clean and I slept well, useful location for easy access to the A55 and plenty of parking available.

Room was not ready until 15:20. Room was nice and clean, and comfortable. Some of the decor is a little tired.

only gave 3 stars as there was a lot of biulding work going on internally, sort of spoiled the atmosphere, food was very good in bar and staff were spot on

3 for cleaning, room with wine marks, spider, left dirty towels in the room, site tables not cleaned, phone didn't work. Noisy floor, old bed with think topper, could feel sprung.

Took a break for a few days with a friend. Rooms had everything we needed, service was great we were looked after by Harry, Would recommend to include breakfast quality products and plenty if choice. Food can be a little pricey if ordering separately.

Had rooms booked for a very special occasion on 7th April, drove to have a look round Chester and talk to the staff at the hotel. Arrive to find it was full of asylum seeker's and we'd never been informed our booking was no longer valid! Absolute shocking customer service from holiday inn from that point, we have now re booked with another hotel. I will NEVER use holiday inn again.

We stayed for 1 night here and all good , good sized bedroom ,very comfortable bed & spotlessly clean ,but only rate it at 3⭐️ as the buffet breakfast was totally over priced at £16.95 ( having just stayed at Premier inn in London where a way better one was only £10.00) plus even though it was only 08.30 the bacon was dry & tough and the black pudding was tasteless. No problem stopping here but swerve breakfast.

It's fine. Clean rooms, friendly service. Was working in Broughton so stayed here as was handy. If you've been to one holiday Inn you'll know what to expect from this one. Staff friendly at check-in / out and helped arrange a taxi into chester. Breakfast was fine too - a buffet.

Everything was as expected, clean rooms and the staff were great. Had an accident (my fault not the hotel's) and their first aider came around to check me out felt really taken care of, breakfast was great.😂 Almost missed breakfast because the curtains make the room so dark we kept thinking it was night time. Fantastic stay!!!

Stunning decor in reception and bar area, room was disappointing, the double bed was 2 singles pushed together, there was an unfortunate stain on the towel, the TV had no reception and a few bulbs were out. It was just a place to sleep for one night or we would have asked to change rooms. Staff were very polite and we enjoyed a couple in the bar before going out.

I’ll start with the positive as the staff are lovely and so eager to please. However the Place needs a good clean, months of thick, grey dust has built up all over the top of the shower curtains and changing room curtains in the womens locker room. Was told the buffet we had paid for before hand was open at 6pm Only to find it was closed when we got there due to ‘not enough chefs’ so we had no choice but to eat in the very noisy bar area-small kids running round screaming all over the place. The place is huge with hundreds of rooms-can’t help but feel if it was condensed down it would be better run and easier to manage.

We were checked in by Laura who was lovely, very welcoming and helpful. She explained where breakfast was served checked our pool reservation time and even gave the children an ice lolly on arrival. The room was nice, comfortable and clean just a basic holiday Inn. The pool was lovely, you need to book a slot, nice size and there was a jacuzzi for under 16's which was perfect after the amount of walking we had done. Breakfast was nice, plenty to choose from. Overall a lovely stay we would definitely stay again if we're back in Chester

Shabby rooms, air con doesn’t work, TVs don’t work, staying away on business but they put me in a room with an adjoining door to the next room with a noisy family in it. Dirty corridors, hotel in general is very girded. Waited 15mins to check in as only one member of staff on front seat at 6:00pm. Needed to move rooms three times to find a clean room that was acceptable. Definitely not staying here again. The only good point of the hotel was the staff are very polite and try hard to please. 2 out of 10

Great location for Chester. (Park & Ride). Very busy, cleaning staff off sick, had a two hour wait for room. Receptionist couldn't do enough/apologies! Lovely meal in bar area at night, had to book. Restaurant is not open at night? Breakfast is buffet style, not to everybody's taste, great selection. Kids eat free. Recommend.

Lovely hotel, wished one of our rooms wasn't a fiery furnace with a broken air conditioning and a door that won't open except you tap it three times, would have given it a 5/5. Giving our experience a 4/5 for the kind gesture of a complimentary breakfast on the house! Our other room on the other hand, was just perfect. Breakfast was great with varieties to choose from, we were spoilt for choice!! Staff are very friendly and always willing to help, something I have come to notice in all Holiday Inn staff no matter the location.

Used the leisure facilities which included a 20m pool, well equipped gym and friendly, helpful staff. Lots of things you expect at a good hotel. Work out area with plenty of power sockets for laptops, free WiFi and reasonably priced refreshments for members. Clean and tidy and even a resident hairdresser. Everything you need on site

Staff was all very nice, Emily signed us both in. The main meal was good, Mark serving the Guinness, spot on. Our room 404 was OK, just slightly tired, but clean and presented well. Our room has no noise! Breakfast was a good traditional mixture. Had a very nice but short stay given our arrangements All the staff made our stay very welcome. I would stay here again.

We had a great time. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Food great quality, drinks good quality and fairly priced. Room very clean & comfortable. Only slight drawback for some, would be the long winding walk to our executive room, but we were warned beforehand with an apology. Used the pool which, once again was a very pleasant experience. Would certainly return for another stay.

We stayed at the holiday inn Chester south for 2 nights whilst visiting family in North Wales. Very good location if you're travelling by car, Chester zoo is just 10 minutes away. I was really pleased to find the hotel could accommodate 5 of us (2 adults, 3 children) in one room as most hotels it's a maximum of 4. The room was large and set up as 1 King, 1 single and a double sofa bed with plenty of space left for moving around and getting ready. The bathroom was big too with a bath and powerful overhead shower. I would highly recommend the hotel to families as it's very relaxed and child friendly. We used the pool area twice which the children really enjoyed. Cleanliness in the pool area and the hotel room could of been better but it didn't devalue from our stay. Breakfast both mornings was great, plenty to choose from including cereals, continental and cooked breakfast. The staff in the restaurant were lovely and very attentive. First morning we were greeted at the restaurant doors by a jolly lion mascot which started our day off fabulously as we were heading to Chester Zoo, second morning the hot drinks machine wasn't working but staff had no problem bringing any hot drink orders to the table. I'd like to especially mention Emily on front desk who was professional and polite in all interactions. We requested more pillows and an extra quilt the first night and it wasn't an issue in the slightest and brought to our room promptly. The hotel is a bit tired in places but overall it was a great and we would definitely stay again when visiting the area.

Served its purpose however it was strange to see abandoned bedding and towels in the corridors later on in the evening as though the cleaners had disappeared halfway through. Tea making facilities in room but no teaspoon. 3 in our room but only 2 bath towels. Window had several jemmy marks on frame from previous attempts to enter. Ground floor room. Several grassed areas had litter on them, bottles, paper cups etc. Looks shabby. Bedding and bathroom clean though. Nice lady on reception. Park and ride over the road. £2 return, so convenient for Chester. Zoo is 15 mins.

Very nice stay, ok it's a little tired but still great place for a stay. Swimming pool was nice hot tub was very nice. The gym looked good. The breakfast was amazing. So much Gluten free options. Plus 2.5 miles from town centre and 6 miles from Zoo.
