Very unfriendly barperson today. Asked for prices of wine and was directed to a price list at the end of the bar. Chose a 175 ml of pinot grigio at £3.50 but was charged £6 on the till. When I questioned this I was told the prices were increased. She rolled her eyes, not for the first time that I came into the bar. Surely the prices listed in the bar should be correct?

Great home cooked lunch, staff, and atmosphere were lovely. I especially loved the sounds, always a great place to visit.

Recently refurbished, good beers and nice atmosphere. Beer garden and marquee make a pleasant all weather venue.

This was a real pleasant surprise. A small unasuming place from the out side and inside has a warm homely feel. But, the best bit is the food. Great quality, well cooked and really well presented. A big thumbs up.

Friendly staff and locals, great beer, and a large beer garden with a playhouse for the kids.

Stopped in the town for a walk and decided to pop in for some late lunch. Food was really nice formally of us with some veggie options also, several beers on tap and large outside area with plenty of seating.

Been coming here for 26 years, The Fountain has had a number of custodians over the years and I love what the new owners have done with the old place. They have brought some life and soul back into this lovely old pub.
