Excellent cosy place for drinks and food! The staff are really friendly and the menu has lots of choice! Highly recommended!

What a fantastic bar with amazing staff. It was so worth booking a table for after the races. The music was amazing and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Would definitely recommend this bar to anyone especially for a place to go after the races. Thanks for a great night!

We wanted to come a few months ago when we last visited Chester however it was too full. Luckily today we came at midday and they found perfect room for us. The Pepsi Max’s were massive and very cheap for the size. The chips were a decent size portion but cooked perfectly. I had the Garlic & Herb cheese calzone and the Katsu Curry chips. These were possibly the nicest food I’ve ever eaten! The service was excellent and very fast. Would highly recommend!

Great spot to grab a drink. Only saw the outside area which was warmed by heat lamps and had a covering to prevent the rain. The decor was very nice. The drinks were well presented and tasted very nice. The waitresses were polite welcoming and had good knowledge of what was available.

Popped in here for a light lunch, 4 cocktails, and a burger later we left. Even though we were seated outside, it was covered and heated, and so this wasn't an issue. The staff we friendly and a credit to the establishment. Food was served quickly and hot and extremely tasty, but my favourite was the cocktails, amazing 👏 This will definitely be our come back to place the next time we return, "Top Notch"

If you're in Chester you have to give this place a visit. Firstly it's really well laid out and the staff are brilliant. Super friendly and attentive without being over the top. The food is great and the small bites mixer menu is heaven... 10 out of 10 from my wife and I..

Great place weather poor wind and rain horrific but stayed a night or 2 in Chester and Bar lounge was recommended by our hotel and WHAT A RECOMMENDATION!!! great food fantastically presented,great selection of drinks (most certainly whisky)👌. We were obviously with current climate sitting outdoors but every table on the outer perimeter had its own heater and every table had a great blanket provided everything about the Bar Lounge was customer first . Music was music (sorry my opinion) the staff were well presented polite even when extremely busy always looking if you need a top up etc and the atmosphere in the pub was fantastic would highly recommend . Thank you for a great experience and well done to all !!!

Really good Chester meeting & eating place. Part of a large group following a celebration, the staff were so attentive to our needs. The food was very good, but not cheap yet excellent for a large group with none of us waiting. Busy for a Tuesday with perfect ambiance decoration. Well done.

I've not been here before. In fact, I'd never heard of it ! We were a party of 20, so we were expecting a hiccup or two with it being a large group. I'm happy to say that the evening went without a mishap. The food was great, the atmosphere was lovely and the service was also great. I would happily go back.

Attracted to this place by the buzz and lively atmosphere and so glad we were. The food was really excellent with great choices and the service was friendly, helpful and efficient. I had the Bang Bang Cauliflower which was so tasty and beautifully presented. The Courgette salad and Caesar Salads were also very good. The prices were reasonable and portion sizes good. Excellent facilities too. I would definitely recommend this restaurant/bar.

I booked in here for a Friday lunch and requested a table on the terrace and staff kindly accommodated us. What's great about their terrace is when the great British weather takes a turn for the worse they have you covered with the electric canopy protecting you from the elements. I took the liberty of enjoying a couple of glasses of Champagne to go with my grilled chicken and avocado burger whereby the husband order a selection of nibbles although when it came out they were definitely not just lite bites although enjoyed them all the same. Toilets were outstanding, clean and very stylish.

We were a party of six who ate here last Sunday. The service was excellent the staff being very helpful and friendly. Most of us had the beef roast that included a drink with it. All of us had a glass of red wine with it and we're really impressed with how nice it was. All the food was excellent and beautifully presented. Would highly recommend and can't wait to return.

Love coming to Barlounge for good some good nibbles and cocktails with friends. This occasion were more special as it was my best friend's birthday. Even though the evening didn't start off so well with one of the unprofessional staff regarding the cooking but thankfully another colleague could rectify the issue. We got seated in the bar area and couldn't have been a better place for us. We were looked after by May who was amazing and made the occasion more special for us. She was friendly professional and very attentive, then after that we had Ben looking after us which the same he was very friendly and attentive. The service we have received by the 2 colleagues were brilliant and we would definitely return and recommend to friends and family. Thank you to you both again for making the night more special for us.

Really friendly staff, very nice food. Also, the choice of outside dining under cover with heaters if you are that way inclined. Not the cheapest place but certainly to a great standard. Decor is very nice, which gives a great atmosphere. Alongside their signature cocktails they will also do you any of the usual ones if you ask. Definitely worth a visit.

Fabulous Fantastic and excellent. We had our wedding reception here. The staff are 100% the best. The food is outstanding. I can not say enough how great the bar lounge is and how outstanding the staff are. Polite, helpful, attentive, helpful. Simply I can not rave enough about how good they were. I would give it 7 stars if I could.

Visited last night after our original choice of place to eat had stopped serving food at 7:30pm so we came here, was seated straight away. Ordered 3 starters of Prawns, chicken skewers and buttermilk chicken. All of them were enjoyed though the buttermilk chicken (or the sauce it came with was quite salty ) Ordered a fillet steak and a rump steak with a side of Katsu curry fries. The steaks were very nice and tasty though I preferred the rump steak more than the fillet steak. The fries were interesting but was nothing special about them. Service was nice and was asked about our food a couple of times so overall, a nice place to eat.

Great place and friendly welcome. We were given free tasters of new beers that they are selling and a great guy who took his time to explained everyone of them .

I couldn't recommend highly enough, from booking for 12 people, kitchen catering for allergies, communication in between and the service on the night, it was second to none! The staff are just incredible, food was fantastic as is the venue!! 10/10 for everything - great time had by all. Thankyou to the staff for making the night extra special!! Sure we will all be returning!

My friend and I visited our local Bar Lounge on Saturday evening just for a quick drink after work. We are familiar to all the staff there, and indeed my friend is on first name terms with several of them. However, we were greeted by a young lady called Caitlin who informed us there was standing room only at the bar, despite several tables being unoccupied outside. We duly stood at the bar and ordered 2 large wines just short of £20. It was impossible to talk to each other there as it was very busy and extremely noisy. So we decided to go back out and stood like spare parts whilst Caitlin gave us both the filthiest look ever! We checked with another member of staff if it was ok for us to stand outside and she said it was. My friend then spoke to another member of staff, I think he was called Jack, who was extremely helpful and showed us into the dining room and stressed he would need the table back in an hour which was perfect. We subsequently had another couple of glasses and left. This is not the first time this particular staff member has been unwelcoming to me. I visited with my husband one evening and she was rude then. I trust you will look into the matter and address it with her as she is putting us off from revisiting.

Friendly staff, great atmosphere, good quality food

Fantastic food and service. Walked in, shown straight to the seats, left for a few minutes and then asked for drinks. All night the waitresses were attentive but not that annoying type of attentive where they interrupt you during a mouth full of food, the cheesy garlic calzone and BarLounge sausages were delicious!!! The CBA burger was amazing and the side of katsu curry fries are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I had the lemon meringue tart and my friends had sticky toffee, all which tasted fantastic, warning the sticky toffee is very filling though haha. Recommend this location for food, alcohol and a good time with friends, colleagues or family.

Lovely food and fantastic service. After a brief conversation with our waitress about what we were doing in Chester, I was brought a congratulations board with a glass of bubbly and strawberries. It was completely unexpected and made my day.

Came for boxing day lunch with parents/grandparents. The waitresses were excellent, attentive (without being annoying) and brilliantly patient with our elderly relatives. The food was super and everyone left very happy. Also lovely festive ambience! Thank you very much.

Best restaurant in Chester. But prepare to hit hard your wallet. It’s worthy anyway. Good things cost money.

Family day out to Chester and don't know where to eat. Google search and found this place. 4 of us (wife, son and daughter) They love it.... Staff are friendly, nice food, nice environment... Everyone happy at the end. I would recommend this if you not sure where to have your lunch especially you are not local.

Incredible spot to go for mixed drinks! The scene is stupendously designed with sequins, blossoms, sparkle and velvet. The mixed drink list is broad and innovative. The staff are agreeable and supportive. The mixed drinks underneath are Up, Up and Away, which is decorated with a sweet-smelling smoke-filled air pocket and Lavender Unicorn, embellished with bubblegum candy floss.

If a place is as busy as BarLounge was when we went you've got to ask yourself why. In our case it was because they provided really nice food and cocktails with attentive service from friendly staff at a really affordable price. Definitely will go again next time we're in Chester.

BarLounge Chester was a great find. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. The food we ordered was amazing. I was particularly impressed with my vegetarian selection from the bites menu. Our evening was made even more special by Anna who presented us with 2 glasses of bubbles at the end of our meal as I had mentioned it was our Wedding Anniversary. It was a perfect evening. Thank you.

Service very friendly & welcoming staff the BEST delicious Sunday Lunch I've had in a very long time with a glass of wine included🍷😋 If I could give more stars I would as this place is the full package service, food and atomosphere FANTASTIC fully recommend we'll definitely be paying a visit next time we are in Chester 😊❤
