Quirky little Indian restaurant where the staff and the food were fantastic! It's only a small place but I'm so glad we were introduced to it - will definitely be going again. It's a 'take your own drinks' restaurant so we turned up with wine and beers in a cooler bag and were given glasses for the table. The staff were attentive, pleasant and helped us with what we may like from the menu. There was loads of food and it was really well priced. Very well worth a visit.

A fabulous find tucked down a side street in. Mold. A very small restaurant that punches far above its weight. Modern chic decor, exciting menu, excellent staff, and the most wonderful food. You can taste every ingredient. Absolutely first class. Very busy, so make sure you book first, and it's cash only, and bring your own alcohol. Highly recommended.

Second visit cash only can’t think why I had the receipt taken off me ,portions miserable for cost £20+ per person , 1 chutney tray for 6 ,had to add salt to rice ,thank goodness ordered naan bread or would still be hungry. We are tourists from Scotland who regularly eat out weekly at our local Indian restaurant and have left overs to take home for less cost. We don’t drink alcohol no clouded opinion and struggling to see why this is 4.7 on Google reviews we travel to Mold regularly we won’t be back.Photo of Flint Castle just in case you don't believe this is real review.

Food and staff are really great. Bring your own beer and wine is no hardship but cash only is sometimes a bit awkward if you don't know or forget. Can definitely recommend.

We went tonight and were delighted with everything. The service was excellent and the food was faultless and I don’t remember feeling so satisfied with the total experience of a restaurant in a long time. I had the mixed starter and shared it -delicious! The chicken jalfrezi was fresh and perfectly spiced. Loved we could take our own wine. Bought gift cards for friends and they will be thrilled! What a little gem!

We noticed this place the other night on our way to Deadwood; saw it was full so decided to give it a try. We'd booked for 5.30 but due to A55 traffic didn't get there til 6 (we did let them know). Can't fault anything; from the amazing servers, the superb food, and the BYOB made a big difference. We came from Chester but will definitely be coming back. Chicken Jalfrezi and Tandoori mixed grill.

Would never go anywhere else. Amazing food time and time again. The family that own this restaurant are also very warm and welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

I can't fault the food it's the very best around. I would like to eat in the restaurant but find it very noisy and off putting although I'm sure it doesn't bother many others as it's almost always full. I spoke to the owner and they are aware of this and are going to address the problem soon. 5stars.

Food incredible - service much improvement required Waited over ten minutes to even be asked if we wanted a drink before deciding to go and speak to the waitress myself, forgotten about constantly throughout the meal as a restaurant guest, having to go out of your way to have to ask for service… there were only three tables to be served but the restaurant were too focussed on take away and delivery orders. Have someone dedicated to restaurant customers, your food is great but the service is not what I expect for the prices you pay.

Extremely disappointed… I will start with the only good point, the chicken tikka in the korma was good quality… when we arrived home they had missed the two chutney trays from the order, obviously this meant the 6 popadoms and mixed starter was dry and unwanted. The mixed starter was tiny and over priced and the chicken chat was small and tasteless. The two other mains had very little lamb and was watery, also we noticed all curry had no pieces of vegetables, everything was cooked off a basic (gravy). Very expensive for poor mediocre food. I called to explain they had missed off the chutney trays and the manager said we will give you them next time, after a debate and saying that’s not the best as the starters where ruined there was no further suggestions. We eat Indian - Asian food regularly from all over the country and this is poor, we have had some of the food and thrown the rest as it was just sauce and very little meat… I would not bother going to this restaurant again also it’s cash only and no receipt handed out this restaurant should be investigated. Avoid!!!!

Absolutely loved the food - ate chicken jalfrezi, which was absolutely authentic in how it was made and their garlic butter naan was fantastic. The team looks really good too - we were there till closing time, and the chef came out and helped the staff to clear up - it was nice to see and I will definitely visit again.

My wife and I have just had one of the best meals ever! She had chicken shashlik which was excellent and plenty of it. Superb flavours! My Labobdar was a paradox of both slightly sweet and hot dish! And once again, absolutely delicious. Excellent service. We will definately visit again!

It was not a planned visit, rather I needed to eat. And I can say that I would definitely be back when in Mold. Bring your own booze and soft drinks available in the restaurant. Cannot fault it Easy access with a car park across the road.

A treasure in Mold. Excellent food and friendly staff. A lovely family run Indian restaurant. No alcohol sold, just soft drinks, but you can bring your own. Very reasonable prices, and it may sound daft, but try the 'Indian chips', seriously, they are delicious!

Until you go, there's nothing any reviews could say about this place that would want to make you go. Fantastic staff, fantastic food and a great atmosphere all round. It's small but might which in mold seems to be how you can have a fantastic night out. I can wait to visit again the food is some of the best in the area. Very happy all round. A fantastic night here and highly recommended.

Actually alright. Went a few years ago got a starter of whole cooked fish with heads and all, good for social media post not so much to eat. They looked as shocked to me as I was them.

Visited Friday 9th July with my girlfriend. We booked for 7pm and duly turned up on time. We were shown to our seats and then ignored for about 5 mins. We were then asked if we wanted poppadoms to which we replied yes. We had to ask for a bottle opener even though our bottles were on the table in full view. The server brought us one but didn't bother with glasses so we drank out of the bottles. It has to be said though that wine glasses turned up later for the bottle of wine we had when we'd finished our beer without us asking. I had the samosas and my girlfriend had onion bhajis. They were tasty but very small and took us about 2 minutes to eat. The small theme unfortunately ran over to our mains. I had vegetable jalfrezi and my girlfriend had lamb pasanda. Again quite tasty but the portion sizes were very small. While it would be an exaggeration to say we counted the grains of rice it wouldn't have taken long if we had. The curries were the same and my girlfriend commented that there wasn't much lamb in hers. Another thing of note is my vegetables were not fresh as they were definitely frozen ones and there wasn't a single green chilli in it, which as far as I'm concerned is a given in a jalfrezi . So all in all a disappointing evening as when we got home about 2 hours later we were both really hungry again.

Normally 5 star standard. This time curry was more watery when it normally never has that issue. The chicken didn't seem as higher quality or tender as normal. Not sure if they are going to let their standards slip like all other Indians. *Edit* No response from E-mal sent to them as per their request....

First visit tonight with two friends one of which has never had an Indian meal, she absolutely loved it as did we all. All staff extremely friendly and the chef came to check on us. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for a fantastic evening

Had a superb meal here with the family. Great service, with delicious fresh dishes and even a visit from the chef after we had finished. No licence (take your own alcohol), but don’t let that put you off; this is a little treasure of a restaurant.

Amazing food, good location and friendly staff would definitely recommend

  • 4/5 Paul G. 2 years ago on Google
Good food, very tasty dishes all very different with a variety of flavours and heat. Staff are good in that they attend to the table so you're not left waiting, they could be a little more interactive and friendly but maybe just a language barrier. No alcohol licence so you take your own and charged corkage. Food a bit over priced but a nice clean establishment ideal for a quiet meal, does lack a bit of atmosphere.
