We called mid week we hadn’t booked a table and got seated immediately. Friendly and efficient staff. The food was very tasty. Would highly recommend a visit.

Originally from the UK but now living in USA. Today was my birthday. My wife decided we would go out and had looked up restaurants close to where we were staying so we could have a nice birthday meal. We were greeted and seated and got our drinks...the server came over and asked if we were ready to order and we asked for a couple of minutes...well she never came back, I did try and catch her attention at the next table but she briefly looked our way and disappeared again. A gentleman appeared from The kitchen delivered the food to the next table and then asked if we would like to order which obviously we did as we had been waiting a while. The fish and chips was great. We then asked another server if we could have the dessert menu...well we waited and waited a little longer but she didn't return. We got up paid and then told the girl behind the bar we would have had dessert but we have had enough. We were really looking forward to having a nice birthday meal but the service sucked.

Came here on a Saturday evening where I did not make any table booking reservation. I was lucky to be able to get a table here at such short notice. It’s located in a very nice golf club resort. They have very nice selection of gin for those who want to give a try. Quite nice presentation on the food. Though I prefer a bigger steak portion but that’s my preference. Overall good experience!

I had my 50th birthday here last week, organised by my partner. The room was amazing, a large C shape with doors leading to the terrace. Relaxed comfortable seating along with several round tables of 10. There is also a dance floor. We chose to have the buffet on it as the gathering was during the day time. The food was classic but very well turned out, thoroughly enjoyed by all. There is a lift so access for all. On the terrace there are wooden stairs leading to the lower ground and garden where there os a wooden play area. Highly recommend 😁

Booked a Sunday lunch on the same day, and we were very pleased with this choice. A pretty conventional lunch menu, but the starters, main courses and puds were generous, tasty and perfectly cooked. I don't review mediocre venues, so this restaurant is good enough to share with you too. Good value, tasty meals with friendly staff in a classy well appointed dining area.

Very nice place with excellent food. Great service and fair prices. You will pay here for a gourmet dish that in big cities you will pay surely more than double. Lot of parking and we had no issue to find a table for lunch even without booking. We stopped on our way back home from the beach but we will surely come back on our next trip.

Went here planning to have the set meal but chose to eat off the menu instead. It's nice and spacious inside. Food was served in good time and it was tasty. Portion sizes were just right and the service was everything we expected.

Marvelous food! We had gorgeous dishes at a reasonable price. Spotless place with a great ambiance. Great views to the gardens, kind staff.

Family gathering . Very welcoming staff Good service. Not very busy on this occasion so we had the conservatory to ourselves which was great. Main courses were very good. Sticky toffee pudding was also good so I was told. I had cheesecake which was very disappointing so have taken off a star for that. Would definitely visit again but next time I'll have the sticky toffee pudding 🙂

Really nice looking place, with friendly staff. Had Sunday lunch nicely cooked meat, but why put the meat on top of crispy roast potatoes which makes them soggy. The food was barely warm.

Our favourite place to eat in the area. Always delicious food and great menu variety. Our only minor complaint is if you're there a bit later in the evening staff will start packing up around you which can ruin the atmosphere

Came here for a funeral wake. The room hired upstairs was lovely, the staff were friendly and very helpful. The food provided for the buffet was beautiful and fresh. All in all a fantastic place and hidden gem

Had the Chateaubriand & it was excellent, cooked to perfection. They'd sold out of my first two desert choices so went for the passion fruit crème brûlée which was also delicious. Staff were very attentive & helpful & will definitely be returning.

First time there was very clean tidy pub, atmosphere was good staff are very polite and the service was excellent. Had the roast dinner very nice, but could do with more roast potatoes on the dinner over all. Good place to take family or even just your wife/girlfriend for a meal.

We only intended calling in for a drink after buying a new car. However the manager offered us a table and a menu to browse whilst he got our drinks. So glad he did, I had steak and my wife had a chicken dish. We both enjoyed our meals that much we decided a pud was in order. Excellent service, food and ambiance. Highly recommended might nip in next week after picking the new car up 👍

6 of us ate here for my Birthday on 2nd January 3 course menu including a drink - £21.95. Excellent. Only thing better than the food quality was the quality of service from the staff. First class

Went for Christmas lunch with a group of friends. I didn't have a starter but the soup looked very nice. I had seabass with courgettes, potatoes with a watercress sauce. It was delicious. Dessert was Berry cheesecake, again this was spot on. Others had turkey, belly pork, all looked appetising.

An excellent foody place with its own golf course and stunning grounds, we went there for a christening and (on a separate occasion) a funeral. They have a great space and the food was really nice, we'll definitely book it again for future christenings, birthdays, wedding receptions, religious celebrations, book clubs, paper company conventions, and of course funerals.

Food was fabulous. Staff were very friendly and attentive. My only small gripe was the soup of the day was celeriac! All in all great experience and lovely ambience 👍

It's a large place but there's a few little nooks to share a quiet dinner with. We didn't book, it was a Wednesday, but there were lots of free tables in the area by the bar. Our dinner was lovely and filling and the staff were attentive and friendly.

Came for a wedding evening reception. The staff were friendly and quick at serving drinks despite the number of guests vs workers. The food was really good, the room was tastefully decorated and the night went without hitch.

Had Sunday Lunch (roast beef, you can choose to have it well done or pink). Decent sized portion, came with two veg, very large Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and gravy. Very quick service (meal served within 10 minutes of ordering). Staff very friendly.

Me and my friend visited last week. We both opted for the midweek menu deal. I had the pate and the rump steak cooked medium rare and my friend had the prawn cocktail and the rump steak cooked medium. Both steaks were brilliantly cooked to our liking ☺️

Had a delicious meal in The Celtic Arms at lunchtime today. Beautiful setting. Very friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant is lovely and bright and airy, perfect for anyone who might be nervous in these days about being too close to fellow diners and the food was delicious. Highly recommend.

Absolutely Beautiful long awaited family meal. Our food was absolutely delicious and full of flavour we were a table of 10 and no one had a bad word to say. We had a good selection of starters mains and desserts. The manager and staff were very attentive and nothing was ever too much trouble even when the pub was full of diners. We can't wait to visit again. Our Thanks to the Team at the Celtic Arms.

Food good but paid £2.50 supplement for 2 meats on a roast dinner and got one small slice of each.

Gorgeous food. Recommend the lasagne! Friendly staff, very clean and a nice little play area for the kids. We stopped on the journey from Anglesey to the South of England as not far off the A55. Lovely break and welcome change from a service station!

We had a large group with a 2 and a half hour slot for our table. The staff was mostly friendly, food was great, however, we didnt get to order desserts, as, despite finishing our mains in good time, no one really came to ask about desserts. Then we ran out of time to bother.

Stopped off on the way from Wales. The Sunday lunch was one of the best I've ever had, topped off with beautiful scenery. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody. Also it is dog friendly which is an added bonus.

👍👍 Yesterday Ann-Marie and her fantastic team hosted our wedding. From the moment we met to the actual day, she could not do enough. From helping us with the menu to decorating the room. What can we say about the food, we'll it was not pub grub it was outstanding, and the presentation was faultless. I...
