It’s a lovely place for a walk. First time going today. Car park was a little busy but once you set off for your walk not busy at all don’t bump in to many people. Only down side is the amount of campers who do not give a flying f*** about the environment. Real let down. At the start of the walk we noticed a lot of tents. One group we saw in the middle of packing up and leaving. By the time we got back to that spot they had gone and left bags and bags of rubbish behind even an inflatable bed was left by the river😳. A lot of rubbish around in general randomly saw a used nappy thrown to the side of the trail. Absolutely disgusting how you can treat such a lovely place like that. Shouldn’t be allowed made me sick 😡😡😡.

Free car park, it is a starting point of many hiking routes, northern Kinder Scout, Lady Clough Moor, bleaklow heads, B29 wreckage site

Really easy to access carpark. Can hold a fair few cars to be fair. Cross the road and you're in the idyllic woodland. Bikes whip up and down so caution pulling out!

If you like walking you will definitely enjoy this one. Hidden in the forest, offers nice views and experience. Walk itself is easy and you can have a great day out with kids. Make sure you take a flask with hot drink during the cold weather, as there is no shops around.

Parking can get busy around here, best to get in early. Ideal spot for the woodland walk.

Stunning woods easy to get to from the car park. The river runs red as well. Lovely and peaceful.

Great walk to blow the cob webs off, hills, woods, water. Folk do camp here and walk dogs, if your lucky you can watch birds of prey in the air aswell

What a beautiful location for this car park and good access to the trails at Snake Woodland. What a crying shame about the amount of rubbish that is left on this car park! Beer cans, pizza boxes, broken glass, bbqs, black bags, bottles, sandwich boxes, cans the list is endless! I do not comprehend what kind of people would do this, I guess this must be normal behaviour to them. Needs to be monitored regulary to discourage this anti-social behaviour.

Gateway to many hiking adventures. Get there early to ensure safe parking and avoid the crowds. Grouse, Owls and Moorland Hares are a highlight.

Magical places at any time of the year around here. Snake Pass has a magical feel to it and is surrounded all around by rolling hills, pine trees, heather, and bracken and in higher points moorland and babbling streams, Wonderland.

Great place for a more remote walk. Be careful crossing the road into Snake Woodlands - the cars round the bend well fast
