*update, emailed Claire Hall - Head of clinical services and have been blatantly ignore* Some years ago, I was subjected to an attack which resulted in my nose being broken. I went to Fulwood Hall for rhinoplasty and the surgeon promised many things - Ultimately, I was devastated when the surgeon made my face even more disfigured. For years, the handiwork of this surgeon has taken over my life and I am reminded of the attack every time I look in the mirror due to the disfigurement. Recently, Fulwood Hall offered to refer me for a 2nd opinion - I was over the moon as I finally felt this could be resolved and I could regain my confidence/start living again. After months of back/fourth, I was informed there was no 2nd opinion and that Fulwood were notified of this months prior to which they failed to notify me. I am upset beyond words at this and feel I have been duped - I have tried to speak to Fulwood Hall regarding this several times to no avail and all correspondence has been ignored. I’m absolutely disgusted how I have been treated here, not only once but twice - It’s quite evident they do not care about their patients as I have explained on several occasions how much this meant to me.

I had an NHS appointment a year ago. The doctor was not able to help me because he was incompetent. It was not a problem because I sorted somewhere else. Despite it was an NHS appointment, and I had been told I was free to go with no charges. A year later they charged me £150 for nothing. They passed to a debt collector. In order to protect my credit score I had no choice just to pay the amount plus the debt collector fee(£186 total). Go somewhere else because this hospital just rip you off. Absolutely unprofessional and disgusting behaviour from a hospital.

My recent visit to Fulwood Hall hospital for knee replacement surgery was a truly excellent experience.it far exceeded my expectations. Every single member of staff gave outstanding service to me as a patient. The surgeon Mr. Cope, the anaesthetist, Dr. Jones, Peter and Kevin in resuscitation were all highly professional and totally reassuring. Nothing was too much trouble. All the nurses individually, the physiotherapists, doctors on the ward, all care and catering staff went out of their way to ensure that I had first class care and treatment every step of the way. I genuinely cannot think of one single thing that could have improved this experience. Thank you.

Rang today for a follow up appointment, after a considerable time in a queue, the operator picked up the phone to tell me she couldn't help me before I even finished my first sentence. She explained the computer was down so I had to ring again in an hour. When I asked if she could ring me when it's back on if I left my details she declined saying it was not possible to call back. I was a bit baffled because she could answer the call but not call me. Then to finish off her caring customer skills, said goodbye and put the phone down. All done and dusted within 20 seconds. If you are the customer care manager, please listen to the phone call if they are indeed recorded for the purpose of training this member of staff.

Came here for shoulder surgery back in November 2022. The staff were amazing from start to finish. My nurse who looked after me before and after surgery was amazing she went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfy and relaxing. If I ever need surgery or any other matter I would definitely come back here

Been calling private patient booking line since 12pm and on 10 occasions was kept on hold and eventually disconnected! Eventually got through to reception and was told the lady on private bookings was working from home... Guess what.... She isn't!!! Told I would get a call back.... Its nearly 5pm and still waiting.... Disgraceful!!!

Absoloute liers. Cancel operations at the very very ladt minute by lieing. Probably making way for someone who is paying private. 2 weeks isolation. 18 negative covid tests( 1 everyday and 2 each day at the run up to operation). Christmas spent isolating so no family time(still got wrapped presents) Their test come up + but lateral flow 1 hour later is still - DO NOT ISOLATE BEFORE GOING THERE AS THEY WILL MAKE UP THEIR OWN MINDS ANYWAY. Official complaint going in

Excellent care from start to finish. Very helpful professional team put me at ease throughout. I had dental surgery under general anesthetic. There was no pain upon waking up and I'm healing very nicely. Thank you to the whole team!

I was admitted to Fulwood Hall Hospital, on Tues, 6th July, 2021 to undergo knee replacement surgery. I found all the staff to be professional, empathetic and the most caring group of people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. From receptionist to surgeon, nothing was too much trouble. The nursing staff were awesome. A big thank you to Nikki, who was with me on my first day, and Melanie, who also had to endure two full shifts helping me through my stay. 😂😂😂 Dr. Johnson was brilliant when discussing different types of anaesthetic procedures available to me, dispelling any fears or apprehensions that I had previously had. Together with his assistant, made me feel so comfortable. A special thank you to Mr. Cope who performed the operation. I cannot fault the service provided by ALL the staff team. Thank you Fulwood Hall

Been before and the staff and doctors are brilliant, but Very disappointing with postal Service. Had an appointment booked by telephone two months in advance, I asked the person on the phone to wait a minute well I write the time down, Told me it’s fine we send letters out with the time and date, it’s now the second time the letter as come after the date of the appointment, missed again, and made to feel as if it was my fault,

Had left 1 thought these let me down but seems Doctors staff lied let us all down for months causing prolonged diagnosis. At 2 now as good with me now spoke but see how visit/scan goes. One error solicitor can also request appointment so would of been done months ago.

My family and I are deeply grateful for the exceptional care and professionalism shown by Fulwood Hall Hospital during my Mother-in-law's cataract removal operations. Her journey through two surgeries, spaced four weeks apart, was nothing short of remarkable, and we are delighted to share our experience with others. The first operation presented challenges due to the density of the cataract, but the surgical team at Fulwood Hall demonstrated unparalleled expertise and skill. They made us feel at ease from the moment we arrived, explaining every step of the procedure and providing reassurance throughout. Their unwavering commitment to my Mother-in-law's well-being was truly reassuring. Both prior to and after the operations, the care provided by the nursing staff was exceptional. Their warmth and attentiveness were evident in every interaction, and they ensured her comfort and recovery were their top priorities. We felt genuinely cared for throughout the entire process, as though we were receiving private healthcare. Fulwood Hall Hospital is a shining example of excellence in healthcare. The immaculate facilities reflect the dedication to maintaining the highest standards, and we were impressed by the efficiency with which everything was managed. The hospital's commitment to cleanliness and organisation was evident, further enhancing our confidence in the care being provided. What sets Fulwood Hall Hospital apart is its staff. From the friendly receptionists who greeted us with genuine smiles to the nurses who went above and beyond to make us feel valued, every member of the team exemplified warmth and attentiveness. Their personalised care and genuine concern for my Mother-in-law's well-being made the entire experience positive and reassuring. This experience has completely restored our faith in the NHS. The level of care we received at Fulwood Hall Hospital was on par with the most exclusive private healthcare facilities. We are genuinely grateful to the hospital and its staff for the tremendous impact they have had on my Mother-in-law's life and our family. Thank you, Fulwood Hall Hospital, for making a significant difference in our lives. Your dedication to excellence and patient well-being has left an indelible mark, and we are sincerely grateful!

I was here for first examination with Collin Harris that was already painful. He made the rubber band ligation in buckshaw hospital in Chorley that was a nightmare. I had never felt that pain that he made me. Better to try avoid him. That was two months ago and I still have a pain but I am afraid to go back because of him.

After waiting for over three months for an appointment, it got cancelled on the same day. I still have no diagnosis after two years plus of ongoing symptoms. Very disappointing.

Enquired about having a procedure performed here under local anaesthetic, having been told that I was unsuitable for general anaesthetic. I was contacted and a video consultation was arranged. The consultant (Mr Golash) assured me that general anaesthetic was the better option and that it wouldn’t be a problem, I agreed to follow his expert opinion. I was charged £275 for the consultation, which I paid immediately, the following day I was told that I was unsuitable for general anaesthetic and couldn’t have the procedure. I have tried to make a complaint, but when trying to submit it, I keep getting ‘site can not be reached’. I was able to submit my initial enquiry easily enough! 🤔

I had a discectomy procedure at Fulwood Hall in March and I can’t speak highly enough of Dr Roberts and all the staff who looked after me. I was well looked after throughout my stay and just want to thank everyone there. I also had issues with my Covid test prior to surgery when I sent it off but the staff at Fulwood Hall managed to do another Covid test with me 2 days before surgery was due at the hospital and sent it off so my surgery could go ahead. Thank you so much, David

I had an NHS appointment last year . The doctors could not help me because they were incompetent, which was not a problem because I sorted somewhere else. Despite it was an NHS appointment they contacted me after one year ,that I owe them £150. They passed to a debt collector made me no chose but to pay it to protect my credit score. Debt collector charged £186. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from a private hospital. Do not go there because that hospital rip you off and do not help you at all.
